🌳【T R E E C L A N】🌳
t̴h̴e̴ ̴c̴l̴a̴n̴ ̴o̴f̴ ̴t̴h̴e̴ ̴f̴o̴r̴e̴s̴t̴ HISTORY
 TreeClan was created by a cat named Oak Leaves, who traveled from the mountains following Storm Breeze. They did not like living among the mountains, with only stone and little else to keep them company. The prey was running short one leaf-bare and he decided to leave his kin and friends to find somewhere safer and warmer to live. A few of the other cats came with and along the way, the group met rouges and loners and kittypets who decided they wanted to join them. Finally, the group came to the ocean and after much searching, they all discovered the places that felt most like home. Storm Breeze discovered an alcove that was located in the shallows of the sands and knew it was where he wanted to live – with the water lapping at his paws everytime he stepped out of his den. After they all discovered their new homes and split into three separate groups (later Clans), they set their new territories. Oak Leaves chose a freshwater river that ran all the way into the ocean as the border for Stone Whisper’s clan. The river opened into a small stream back in the forest up the beach that Storm Breeze and Oak Leaves decided was a perfect border for them. Oak Leaves chose to make camp in a ravine that used to be a riverbed but is dried up.
WARRIOR CODE
 1. You must always protect your clan first. You may have friends in other clans, but your loyalty must always stay with your clan.
2. All kits must learn how to swim and be taught by their fathers before the age of 6 moons - this includes ShellClan and TreeClan.
3. Every full moon, the three clans will meet at the mouth of the stream that borders the territories in peace to exchange news or cautions for other clans.
4. Do not hunt or trespass on another clans' territory.
5. The word of the Clan Leader is law and must be followed.
6. A cat cannot ignore a kit in pain - even if it is an opposing clan.
7. The deputy will become the leader if the current leader dies, retires, or leaves the clan. The next deputy must be appointed by moonhigh.
8. Prey is killed only to be eaten.
9. A medicine cat MAY have a mate and kits as long as it does not infringe on their duties as medicine cat. If it does affect their duties, they will be demoted to warrior and another medicine cat must be appointed.
10. Elders, queens, sick or injured cats, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily and trespassers will be challenged.
12. Killing another cat in battle must be prevented at all costs and is only admissible if it is a matter of self-defense or necessity for the safety of others.
13. All medicine cats are permitted to cross clan boundaries when visiting the Tidal Pool (where they share with StarClan) or if they need to speak with the other clan's medicine cat. Any other cat is not welcome to cross boundaries without express permission.

T H E - T E R R I T O R Y - A N D - C A M P
 TreeClan lives exclusively in the woods - and they prefer that. TreeClan are not ones to get their paws wet unless they are desperate for food, and then they will fish the river or stream that borders their territory. The cats of the forest prefer the gamey taste of land prey, though if they have a particularly messy leaf-bare, they will fish, as they know how. They also know how to swim, as per the warrior code, though they are rarely - if ever - in the water. To the South, they have a small stream that marks the border to SeaClan territory. To the West, the large river marks the border of ShellClan territory. TreeClan's camp is settled in a small ravine that used to be a riverbed but is now dried up. They have reinforced the boundaries of the camp with thick thorn bushes, gorse, and brambles. Inside the camp there is a large oak tree that stands straight across from the entrance. One of the branches lays low enough to be inside the camp and that is where the leader addresses the clan. Underneath the tree, the roots are gnarled and some stick out of the ground. There is a small hole that leads into a deeper den where the leader sleeps. It is not very big, and any private conversations simply happen behind the oak tree for privacy, where there is a small opening between the tree and the camp borders. The dens are all split into different thick bushes that have been hollowed out of the inside and bottom to make room for nests. The medicine cat den is through a smaller gorse tunnel that leads to a small pile of rocks. There is a crevice where the herbs are stored and it is just big enough for one cat to make a nest. S E A S O N - W E A T H E R  It is currently leaf-fall. The days are warm with a slight chill from the breeze coming off the ocean but the nights are cold and biting. Prey is running scarcer on land though still enough to feed the clans. SeaClan has leaned more into land hunting than fishing to gear up for leaf-bare – when they will need fish to be plentiful.

C U R R E N T - P R O P H E C Y - A N D - P L O T  There is a great evil coming over the clans. Aspendust of SeaClan has received a prophecy from his late mentor. “When the Sun rises, only Cloud and Shadow can shield the clan’s from it’s light.” Aspendust does not know what this means but a kit born in the clan – Cloudkit – has made him wonder if that is what the prophecy means. A light brown tom with dark brown patches and icy blue eyes; He is a serious cat who detests laziness and weakness. He also doesn't think too highly of cats who aren't clanborn, at least until he thinks they've proven themselves to be trustworthy and reliable. While he can be very harsh to those he sees as useless, not serious enough, weak or stupid and will also criticise others for tiny mistakes he cares a lot about TreeClan and wants everyone to reach their full potential, as any of his former apprentices will know all too well. He might even give some advice to any young cat who's brave enough to approach him and will try to be patient with them. Despite his dislike for weakness he can be surprisingly kind to clanmates who are old, sick or injured and will always make sure that they get enough food; Cedarfrost was born and raised in TreeClan. As a kit he was a very fearful cat who hated to leave the nursery. The clan would jokingly say that he was even afraid of his own shadow. When he became an apprentice however he lost that fearful side of his, instead turning into an eager and cheerful apprentice who loved to compete with others but also knew how to encourage them. He stayed that way for his entire training but after he became a warrior Cedarfrost slowly became more serious and more strict with himself and his clanmates. Maplekit ~in camp~
She crept slowly out of the nursery, she sprinted sniffing every inch of camp. She stumbled to the medicine den and recioled at the sour scent of herbs. Why would Foxkit want to be stuckin THERE all day?! She spotted a leaf floating down and jumped up catching it. "HAH! I'll be the BEST warrior EVER!" She quickly crouched down searching the nursery entrance. Good she hadn't waken her mother; Fernwillow. She bagen attacking the leaf and shredding it as if a rouge on clan territory. Her tiny teeth left adorable imprints and claws had to scratch the same place multiple times to rip it. SHe began tumbling around still attacking the leaf.

Foxkit jumped at the sound of a soft thudding on the ground outside the nursery. Her ears twitching, she crept to the entrance and peered out to see that it was only Maplekit, tumbling around with a leaf. Her eyes narrowed and her tail flicked in concentration. Maybe she did want to be a medicine cat, but that didn't stop her from wanting to wrestle with her den mates. Slowly, she crept out of the den and towards her unsuspecting friend. She was bigger than Maplekit but she knew how to play easy. Finally, she was close enough and she let out a battle cry and leapt towards the other kit, eyes glinting with amusement. |

Thornstar | open to interaction
Thornstar slipped out of his den and into the clearing, glancing around the camp. He caught the sight of Foxkit and Maplekit wrestling near the nursery and he flicked his ear in amusement. He moved his gaze further towards the warriors den. Bramblecloud was just pushing his way into it after returning from a patrol. Thornstar shifted, sitting down and curling his tail over his paws, letting out a grunt of discontent. As much as he wanted to get out of the camp, he didn't want to go alone. Movement by the nursery caught his attention and he saw Fernwillow slipping out, blinking her eyes sleepily as though she had just woke up from a nap. He nodded to her in greeting as she crossed the clearing for a piece of fresh kill and carried it back to sit by the nursery and watch the kits play while she ate. Thornstar glanced back to the warriors den, wondering who was left in the den to patrol with.

Maplekit ~w/Foxkit~
Maple kit let out a mreow of delight and squirmed her paws flurried randomly having no coordination. She quickly whacked Foxkit forehead and lightly gnawed on Foxkits forepaw. She lightly grunted as Foxkit knocked her over with her muzzle. She jumped back up and slid under Foxkit unsure of what she was even doing, she giggled and kneeded the ground excitedly.

With a laugh, she jumped out of the way and faced the other kit, her tail curled up in amusement. "I'm not a mouse, you can't eat my leg!" she joked. She glanced around the clearing. Thornstar was watching them from beside his den and she shifted, uncertain under his scrutiny. Her eyes found the medicine cat den where she knew Sunnybird would be and she purred. It wasn't long now before she would be right by her future mentors side, sorting herbs and helping her clanmates through all their ailments. Perhaps one day she'd even save Maplekit's life! The thought sent a thrill through her body and she turned back to her younger friend. "I can't wait to be an apprentice!" |

"Me either! Then I can CATCH prey instead of stealing Fernwillows!" She giggled, her haunches and pounced on a small beetle. "GOTCHA!" She squealed holding up the the beetle whos legs were still moving. Her ear flicked proudly and shook the bug as if it were a small rodent. "Hehe! Beetles don't taste as good as MICE but one day I'm gonna bring down a whole EAGLE!" She stood onto her hindlegs and flopped back, dropping the the beetle next to her.
She looked at her mother across the clearing, she looked nervous, She's probably worried I'm hurt... Well I'm a BIG cat! I could fight off A HUNDRED rouges!

Foxkit | w/ Maplekit (🎄tansypool🪿)Foxkit stifled a laugh as she younger kit flopped around and caught the beetle. I can't believe I used to be just like that. She thought of herself as very mature. In just under a moon, she'd be a medicine cat apprentice and things like beetles and leaves would be just things around her or under her paws - not anything to play with. The thought struck her and made her feel a little sad, but she knew she was doing the right thing. It was her duty, she could feel it to the tips of her fur.
"I bet you'll catch me and Sunnybird the best prey!" she purred.
Thornstar | w/ Froststripes (Hawkeyes258)Thornstar watched as Froststripes exited the warriors den and began to groom his pelt. Standing and stretching out his tense muscles from sitting so long, he padded across the clearing to stand over the warrior.
"Care to patrol with me?" he asked, though his tone was clear it was not a question.

She giggled happily and began sprinting around camp: zoomies. She then proceeded to climb on top of the nursery and sqeal and I quote "I'm the BEST warrior in Treeclan!" She then leaped up trying to catch a butterfly but tumbled into the dust.
She drowsily woke from her slumber noticing the wind was blowing through the tree making an odd whispering sound, she looked over seeing her mother was still taller than her even when she was sleeping, One day I'LL be bigger than Ferwillow! She thought proudly and tumbled from the nursery the morning air seemed to lift her up for a second, her round kit belly showed that prey was still running good, other than the fact she wasn't completely weened. Her mothers soft fur was a good nest but she couldn't wait to have her own nest in the apprentice den. Most cats hadn't woken up yet but she could see some awake, she still had trouble figuring out who was who but she knew important cats like Sunnybird, Thornstar, and of course Fernwillow and the other queens and Foxkit. She sniffed around and sneezed from the dust that flew up hr nose, the cold air made her lungs hurt a bit but she was tough and she knew how to stick it out!

Whitepaw stretched as she ventured out the apprentices den. She made only a few steps before she heard her name being called.

Timberbreeze | w/ FernwillowTimberbreeze yawned and sat up from her nest. Shadowkit and Foxkit were still curled together, fast asleep, and she purred at the sight of them. They must have had a long day yesterday. she thought, considering they hadn't already woken her up. She glanced around the nursery to see that Fernwillow and Maplekit had already disappeared. The air was damp and cold, so it wasn't too far in the day, perhaps they had just had trouble sleeping. With a quick stretch, she slipped out of the nursery and into the clearing of camp. Fernwillow was sitting nearby, her tail wrapped around her paws, eyes narrowed, as she watched Maplekit. Timberbreeze padded over to her and sat beside her, flicking her tail in greeting.
"Early morning?" she asked.
"I couldn't sleep once that one got up." Fernwillow purred, nodding to her only kit a little ways from them.
"Have you eaten?" Timberbreeze asked.
"Oh, yes. Thornstar brought something once he woke." She nodded towards their leader, who was sitting underneath the oak tree who's roots held his nest.
Timberbreeze glanced towards their leader, amusement flooding over her. It was so obvious that Thornstar was smitten with Fernwillow - but her fellow queen seemed not to notice! After Fernwillow's mate had passed from a snake bite a moon before Maplekit was born, the queen had seemed oblivious to all the other toms who were interested. Timberbreeze thought Thornstar would be a wonderful mate for Fernwillow - but that was for Fernwillow and Thornstar to work out amongst themselves. |
