Slippaw ~patrol~ ( 💗Hollyleaf💗) "O-oh!... Crouch maybe?" He stuttered a bit and he gave his chest an embarrassed lick. His ears flipped dow making it look like he had small horns. “All right, off we go then,” Duckwillow nodded and continued into the ocean. He ducked under a few waves and then he swam out a little so the waves starting didn’t cause them any issues. He turned and face Slippaw, treading water, and nodded. “I’ll show you. Then you can practice.” He said. Duckwillow told his apprentice to wait then scanned the water. There were some birds circling in the sky ahead and he swam towards that location. As he neared, he slowed and dipped his head more underwater, so he didn’t look so opposing. Then, as he got under where they flew, he pushed himself under the water the same way he had shown Slippaw before. He stayed that way for a few minutes and waited, using his front paws to keep him underwater, until the shadow fell over the water letting him know the bird was swooping down. Duckwillow prepared himself and just as the talons hit the surface, he jetted upwards using his hind legs and his front legs wrapped around the bird as he came out of the water. He shot up a ways and leaned forward to give a killing bite. By the time he was treading water again, the bird was dead. He grabbed its neck in his jaws and dragged it with him towards Slippaw. “Go ahead.” He said. |

He found a spot around the area where Duckwillow had been. He swam down and lightly treaded to keep in the same spot. He watched around above him seeing a small shadow he sprang forward and realized it wasn't a bird he had been able to catch it to early, it!... was a fish. He snapped barely grabbing its fin with his teeth. He struggled up to the surface, the small fish clamped in his jaws and his fur soaked. He swimmed nervously to where his mentor was and shook of a bit holding his fish to Duckwillow.

He found a spot around the area where Duckwillow had crouched and crouched digging his claws into the grainy sand and the rocks. He watched around above him seeing a small shadow he sprang forward and realized it wasn't a bird but a fish, he snapped barely grabbing its fin with his teeth. He struggled up to the surface, the small fish clamped in his jaws and his fur soaked. He padded nervously to the shore and shook of a bit holding his fish to Duckwillow. (psst. they are in the middle of the sea, Slippaw cannot touch the bottom; Duckwillow is just treading water nearby, waiting) |

Azurefrost ~camp~
She flicked her tail. She felt odd. She had seemingly avoided her clanmates and snapped a bit at her parents. "What is going on?" she whispered, pacing back and forth. She had been restless for days. She had a smaller appetite than usual and was constantly prodding at her nest, making it fluffier and adding more feathers and soft underfur from prey. She had been grooming more and it seemed her stomach fur was thinning a bit. She had been even more talkative than usual and constantly seemed to flex her claws when cats came to close sometimes, it felt like she was protecting herself but she knew her some of her clanmates were a bit curious about it.
OOC: one last post for her before she kits! :3

He went back to where he had before and waited... and waited and waited... He eventually had to surface a bit but only revealing his eyes and nose, he dipped back down and stayed as still as he could. Eventually a unmistakable bird flew overhead quite slow and he splashed up missing the bird but catching a few feathers and leaving a small cut on its side.

He shook his head in disappointment but didn’t let Slippaw see. Instead, once the apprentice was out and could hear him again, he called out to him: “okay! That’s enough of water hunting. Let’s go catch some crabs.” |

She stumbled over sticking her head out of the nursery. The pain would pause every few minutes, but when it as there it was horrid! The pauses became less frequent and she had to lay in her nest because her legs refused to hold. A spendust jerked his head up from his dozing. He hadn’t really been sleeping, just trying to get some extra rest since he’d be going to the Tidal Pool tomorrow. He wanted to make sure he could make the journey without issue. But now, a yowl of pain overtook the rest and he knew exactly what it was. He recognized the cry for help from Azurefrost and he immediately dug through his herb store. He picked out the herbs he would need - feverfew, borage, poppy seeds, a stick he kept around specifically for kitting. He hurried with his jaws full towards the nursery. He pushed inside to find the queen lying in her nest, her belly rippling with contractions. “Lay still, Azurefrost, everything is fine. Let me feel around.” He instructed. He dropped his things and placed his two front paws on her belly. “Three kits, it seems, they’re coming fast. Here-“ he passed the stick to her to bite into. “Now when I say, I need you to push with the contractions,” he instructed. After a few moments, he felt the rippling begin. “Now!” He said. |

Aspendust shifted as the first kit was born and he lifted it, placing it by Wildsky - who was watching the kitting with her two kits swept behind her so they wouldn’t get in the way. She didn’t need instructions. She immediately went to licking the kit over, warming it and bringing it fully to life. Aspendust turned back to his patient and put his paws down again. “Okay, here comes another Azurefrost. Focus.” He insisted. |
