I was shocked to see how much Milton grew in just one day. Category 5? They were saying cat 3 yesterday! So much for no rapid intensification for this storm.

We got back home from Orlando last night and while there is a decent bit of damage on the island I live on, it's incredibly fortunate that most houses fared as well as they did. However, a bunch of powerlines broke with wires all over the place on the streets and we expect it to be a while before we get power back. But all in all, everything turned out to be okay.

Excellent news- my power came back last night. The electric company was sending out emails saying it'd come back on Tuesday so I'm glad it returned relatively quickly instead. My house's wi-fi is still down though.
