Which of these commentary YouTubers is your favorite? If you haven’t heard of them they’re all funny (but especially Drew and Danny) and I suggest you go watch one of their videos right now. (If you want a suggestion of which one to watch lmk what your specific interests and your sense of humor are like.)

Love both Danny and Drew, but lately I’ve been enjoying Drew’s videos more ever since he started leaning into slightly longer-form content. His topics have also become less strictly commentary and more experiment-based, which I love. (Danny does this some as well but he tends more toward commentary).
I’ve never really liked Kurtis tbh. I’ve tried his videos a few times, but he gives me weird vibes and he tends to say more off the cusp charged comments about politics/religion/etc, which I’m just not a fan of for that kind of content.

I like Drew the best, although Danny is cool too. Not a fan of Kurtis's vibe

Never heard of them. Just checked out there videos, and they don't seem to be the kind of Youtubers I'd watch constantly. More of the sort that get recommended to me randomly and have 1-2 videos I may watch. Kurtis Conner's Digimon video for example I'm watching, while downloading a show, but I couldn't find much else from him that I would want to watch.

I voted Kurtis Conner simply because he’s the only one I’ve watched. Not religiously though. I just had a few of his videos show up when I was on YouTube and the topics interested me.
I’ll give the other two a chance later if any of their videos interest me.

Ive literally never heard of any of these people even though I like commentary. What kind of commentary do they do? Maybe they just dont address subjects I care about.

Ive literally never heard of any of these people even though I like commentary. What kind of commentary do they do? Maybe they just dont address subjects I care about. That might be the case. Danny does a lot of ‘weird/bad/low budget/ripoff’ movie sort of review videos, and some with the same vibe but instead of movies it’s various genres of mobile games. Drew (imo the best one) does more commentary on general things, like relatable comedy (not comedy people can relate to, but people making an observation then they’re like yeah everyone this is funny laugh now :3 ), random weird people on instagram, etc. And then he’s got a lot of videos that aren’t necessarily commentary but they’re pretty funny regardless. Like Shad said they’re more experimental, like him buying a couple weird things he was getting ads for, trying a bunch of tutorials to get taller and then obviously staying the same exact height, stuff like that. Kurtis isn’t that interesting imo, he mostly just watches a ton of tiktoks that all fall into the same category, like ‘e-boys’ whatever a ‘modern Viking’ is, and says things about them, which by definition is commentary but it’s not exactly interesting commentary. He does occasionally make a video about something kind of interesting, like weird CGI PSAs they have in Canada, the Fushigi ball, and then one where he tried ‘anti-aging’ bs (he didn’t think it would work btw and it didn’t) and that was actually pretty interesting. He did some random things for about a week and it was an ok video but his videos as a whole aren’t too great. that probably wasn’t a super great explanation lol. Welcome back btw! ^^

Ive literally never heard of any of these people even though I like commentary. What kind of commentary do they do? Maybe they just dont address subjects I care about. The commentary genre is pretty broad and catch-all on YouTube. You have long-form media analysis creators like Jenny Nicholson, Friendly Space Ninja, and Saberspark in this category, but also people like Izzyzzz, Drew Gooden, Eddy Burback, or Amanda the Jedi who all have radically different kinds of commentary. Can't speak much for Kurtis, but Drew and Danny both originally started on Vine (Drew is the guy from the "Road Work Ahead" vine), so when they migrated to YouTube their content evolved into comedic commentary - typically talking about/making fun of weird things they found online with comedic skits and bits interspaced. E.g. dumb life hacks, weird bootleg movies, crappy 1 star games on the app store, etc. Danny's also known for strangely high-quality satire songs, and Drew the last few years has been experimenting with videos with more media analysis. Danny's comedy is usually innocent observationalist whereas Drew is more absurdist. There's a lot of overlap between the three creators' audiences, and they are friends, hence why they are often grouped together. If I had to pick one video from each to recommend to people that represent a good "essence" of their respective channels, I'd rec Danny's "I Spent $20,000 Advertising on YouTube and Now Everybody Hates Me", and for Drew either his video on "How Much More Star Wars Do We Need?" (if you want more serious commentary) or any of his series on buying weird products advertised on instagram.

(I mean so does Drew but whatever lol) If you want a recommendation of some to start off with how about “I’m Radio Rebel”, “I’m Lemonade Mouth”, “Why Did KFC Make a Romance Movie”, “Scales: The Insane Mermaid Movie”, “Up but everything about it is bad”, and “Ratatoing, Netflix’s worst movie from your nightmares” also what commentary YouTubers are you into?
