Star deaths

Well the biggest and most obvious one might be Splashtail. there is no way he survives this book if they need to defeat him (and if he does that means his plot to rule the lake isnt over which i would be rather curious about)

I can see Duskfur dying too. I know she feel guilt at the fact that played a part in Splashtail's rise to power and she's old so this might be her lash hurrah. Had all this drama not happened she would have made a fine leader too imo.

I really hope Brambleclaw dies here too. Him stepping down as frail elder is not what such a significant warrior deserves. I hope he pulls and Bluestar and gives his life to save a young warrior or to fight Splashtail and can join StarClan with honor.

For the deaths in Star, I would say Mothwing, Duskfur, Splashtail, Berryheart, Podlight, Sorrelstripe, Fringewhisker, Spireclaw (there has to be some drama like this to remind us why the warrior code forbade inter-clan relations as Berryheart said: but it's redundant that it's one or the other who dies, for a change they would have to both die like in Romeo and Juliet; RiverClan attacks ShadowClan and Berryheart kills Spireclaw and Fringewhisker), and Frostpaw (but she comes back to life because Sunbeam and Nightheart take the River of Spirits to bring her back).

Mothwing is one of my favorites but I hope she gets killed off soon. Let my girl rest

Nightheart I'm begging

It’d be perfectly okay to me if Rootspring kicked the bucket. Preferably getting snuffed by Berryheart while defending 1 of the couples that switched clans, since he’s a HUGE advocate for that nowadays, so would make sense. Plus the benefit of not having him grating my nerves anymore would be music to my ears.

There’s probably going to be a battle. Splashtail,Berryheart,Gorseclaw,Nightsky,Mothwing,Spireclaw,and Puddleshine. I feel like they might have killed Puddleshine during Splashtail’s little trick in the excerpt.

Nightsky I think is going to fight on the side of Frostpaw and will die trying to fight Splashtail,then will get killed and go to StarClan.

Still waiting for that small purge. Especially to hit ThunderClan and thin out the 30+ cats crowd a bit. Specifically the background carboard cutouts with almost zero personality (or who only get used when the plot calls for xenophobic Clanmate #19).

A big battle where each Clan suffers at least 5 to 10 casualties each would be quite effective as well.

Still hope Tigerstar II dies but that will never happen at this point because the plot armor and golden boy status is just too strong with this one.

Yup. I've accepted that harsh reality but it still doesn't make it any less frustrating lol.

I feel like Splashtail and Mothwing are a given; same with Berryheart, though I feel like Berryheart's death will trigger/be triggered by one of two things:

a) She tries to kill Fringewhisker and is killed by Spireclaw
b )She tries to kill Fringewhisker and kills Spireclaw in the process, only to die by Fringewhisker

At the end of the day I don't see Fringewhisker dying, but I can absolutely see Spireclaw dying.

I'm also kind of hoping that some of Thunderclan's extra die, but sometimes it feels like some of the extras are so irrelevant that they won't even kill them in a battle, but rather will have them die in between books (e.g. Eaglewing).

I wouldn't be surprised if Squirrelflight loses a life (assuming she did receive 9 lives from Starclan). I can also see Podlight biting the dust too.

Bottom line there's a lot of possibilities for death, but I think the main ones would be Splashtail, Mothwing, Berryheart, and maybe Spireclaw.

Can I ask why?

Someone said Nightheart, and as sad would be, that would be fitting. His whole character is about wanting to be remembered for his own legacy instead of the people that went before him that he never really knew. And that would give him his legacy, it wasn’t really what he was thinking. Plus it would really put the new rules to the test because Sunbeam’s main reason for switching would be gone.

Otherwise, Splashstar/tail and Berryheart are basically a given. A lot of people are saying Mothwing but after everything she has gone through, I hope not because I just want her to retire peacefully. If Frostpaw chooses not to remain a medicine cat or doesn’t make it through, then maybe one of the others can come over from the other Clans to help. I’m expecting Squirrelstar and Bramblestar/claw to both die, as I feel like it’s been hinted that, and their arcs are both pretty much over. This whole part of the series feels like it’s been about passing the torch, so that would make sense.

I would’ve also said Tigerstar II, but Changing Skies confirms he survives. I don’t think we’ve had a leader killed during a rebellion since Raggedstar (Brokenstar, Bramblestar, and Rowanstar survived theirs). So it would’ve also thrown the new rules into question. But unfortunately It doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. It might still happen later down the line though. I’m also thinking things can’t look good for Puddleshine either, but his character arc is also over.
