"We came to talk about if you got any kind of message from StarClan about the storm." Petaldove explained. She then talked about what Russetshade told her about Scarletstar's dream, while Wanderingstar listened. They then nodded.
"I did get a dream from StarClan." Wanderingstar began. "I was standing at the edge of the forest, I looked up, and lightning struck the Summit Camp. It was horrible. I heard cats yowling from there, one of them being Scarletstar." Wanderingstar sighed, before their head drifted to the side. "If the dream comes true, I'm gonna feel so worried..."

russetshade's ears drew back, pressing flat against his broad head as wanderingstar recalled their vision, his orange eyes owlishly wide and glimmering with alarm. now that they had mentioned it, puzzle pieces clicking into place just behind the tom's anxious gaze, he did recall an oddly placed premonition that had come to him days before. then, he hadn't known what to think of it, and was waiting for further clarification from their warrior ancestors. as he drew on the memory, lightly curled whiskers twitched, his muzzle flattening in a mildly disgusted frown. the acrid tang of smoke flooded his senses, much fainter than the first time though still an assault to his nose and tongue. with it, came the prickles in his paw pads that had followed just after, as if something white-hot stabbed tiny, hot thorns against the leathery skin. self-conscious of this, russetshade pulled his thick tail to curl over and hide his forepaws, willing the sensations to die as suddenly as they'd come on again.
"a fire is possible, then," the healer murmured somberly, his head low as now narrowed eyes flit along the ground, "and although it is likely the storm may douse it before the winds spread it very far, the damage is still likely to be severe. this is dire, indeed." what had they done to deserve this? was starclan angry with them, and for what reason? this he could not ascertain. or perhaps it was a force of nature that was truly unavoidable - not necessarily the making of starclan, but something they could only guide the clan through as best as they could. fate was fate, after all, and there was no point in challenging it.
tall ears flickered as russetshade raised his head, turning his gaze onto wanderingstar, "your worst enemy may be the trees. finding elevated, stable and rocky shelter may be your best bet to fend against floodwater and falling branches alike." the winds would naturally be slowed by the density of the forest, though torrential rain and furious winds could still pose great risk to even the more-sheltered of the three camps. "i don't suppose you've heard from crimsonstar yet? we were headed that way."

WEATHER UPDATE!
The heavy thunderstorm seems to be shifting... it looks like the storm will now last from from October 6th at 7:00 PM EDT to October 15th 5:00 PM EDT, but starting now, we are seeing signs of dark clouds looming overhead... During this time, we will experience:

Wanderingstar shook their head.
"I have heard nothing from them ye-" their words were interrupted by the sound of loud rumbling. They got up and looked at the sky, their eyes slowly widening. "... Holy Logstar. The storm is approaching." they loudly whispered, before their fur bristled. "Storm's approaching fast. You'll want to run down to the Base Camp and get back up here before it starts."
