Decided to rewatch it as it was trending from The Book of Bill. The last time I watched it, I was 13. Crazy how the first time I watched it I was around the twins’ age and now I’m at Soos’ age.
The show is a lot shorter than I remember. I probably feel that way because the last time I watched it, I had to wait for the episodes weekly and then season 2. Anyways, it’s a really solid show. I feel like it got away with a lot for being a kid’s show. All of the characters are endearing in one way or another. Bill Cipher is the perfect antagonist. And I found myself tearing up when I watched the finale this time around. I don’t think I cried the first time watching it.
I loved Mable and Dipper’s dynamic. The fact that they’d sacrifice for one another again and again. How they’re basically each other’s rock. Without a doubt, their dynamic is the heart of the show.
Anyways, 10/10. Absolute peak.

so real. i'm so so sad it's over but i 100% agree and understand that while i do think the creator of the show is a genius and could keep making more of the story if he wanted to, it's a perfect story the way it is. i also rewatched it just before the book of bill came out with my husband so that's on our list to go buy and take a look at here soon cuz i will consume any gravity falls content i can get my hands on
