_{a lot of it does just seem like knocking kids for new generational slang and humor which happens to every generation because language changes fairly rapidly. gen alpha is definitely going to have its own unique challenges, ones i've seen come up a lot irl are issues due to too much tech use from a young age and a decline in reading abilities, but ultimately they'll probably grow and learn and adapt like every generation before them has ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I recently taught gym classes for a couple seasons for kids aged 3-9 and tbh they all seemed like normal kids. some of the 'weird' stuff they did was literally just a rehash of stuff we used to do (had kids in a class larping paw patrol once lol how am i, the longtime rp cat forum user, gonna call that brainrot?)

i'm a zillenial and i've seen this kind of generational handwringing a bunch of times already and like i'm not saying there isn't stuff in generational complaints that is genuinely annoying and unhealthy but i think the longterm prospects are not as severe and civilization-collapsing as some people fear, life goes on}
