There's no new story content, but there's some interesting stuff in the preview. It's apparently dedicated to someone named...Roberta (so did Cherith write this or not?)? And the map is of Ivypool's journey, not the lake territories. And there will be 34 chapters (nothing like an epilogue this time).

Where’s the picture? I love looking at maps in Warriors but I can’t find it on Kobo.

It says “For Roberta” rather than the “special thanks” message the authors give themselves. I wonder where that special thanks is then?

Cool to get new map art! I wonder how the Sisters will be related? And who the wildcats will be and who Slate and Beach are

ok wait this is incredible I've made interpretations of the big map of the Warriors world based on combining previous maps, so it's cool to me to see this map! Some things I did not at first realize because I hadn't realized the huge scale of the map: Where it says Moonpool, that small lake beside the Thunderpath there are the lake territories. Where the lake meets the sea, the cliff part is labelled in previous maps as Midnight's den. They go places farther away than the Great Journey in this SE! It makes the trip between the lake and the Tribe look like nothing haha

Wildcats' Camp? Aren't they all wildcats? (looks around suspiciously) Also looks like we're gonna encounter the Sisters again I like them a lot so I'm excited to see how that plays into the plot and how Rootspring will interact with them especially. It's a good choice given how they live with the dead and the book seems to be about grief. Makes thematic sense. I'm super excited to see where they go with this. Also yay for the sun-drown place!!! Edit: also one of the twolegplaces seems to be depicted as a church. It's been a couple years since I last read Tigerheart's Shadow so ignore if the locations don't work out lol but maybe the Guardian cats will show up again too...?

The scale of this map is huge! I'm so excited to see how far they'll travel.

It's crazy how close they are to Highstones, but then you remember that the mountains are bigger than they look...

New map? (!!!)
I've always appreciated looking through the maps of warriors, stitching them together and working out where the journeys actually and this one really good! It expands the world in a direction we haven't gone before without stepping on much established places and it looks a lot more like the older maps, too. Also, it's huge! I can't wait to see what happens in this book even more now.
As for Roberta, I have no idea. If she isn't the author, is she possibly the person who drew the map? Or is it a regular dedication?

It says “For Roberta” rather than the “special thanks” message the authors give themselves. I wonder where that special thanks is then? The "special thanks" is pretty much always to the person who wrote the book itself. So I suppose Cherith didn't actually write this one...I'm going back to the website preview to see what that says.

Wildcats? I wonder if they mean the Scottish wildcat. Seeing the clan cats interact with a cat species that closely related to the domestic cat would be interesting. They’re not the same but very similar at the same time. It could also be a nod to the problem the wildcat is facing for survival: encroachment from the domestic cat.

Where’s the picture? I love looking at maps in Warriors but I can’t find it on Kobo. Why don't they have this in every journey book? This would've added more world building

They’re not the same but very similar at the same time. It could also be a nod to the problems the wildcat is facing for survival: encroachment from the domestic cat. That could be it. This is the first point I've heard that ties every part of the book together: The related but different animal with connections to the clans, the journey, the map... I think this could be what they are going for, and I honestly hope it is. I'd love to see what they could do with that plot point now.

Who the dump is Beach? I heard of Beech, but this is ridiculous
Sisters again, but at least Snow's nice
Fox-head mountain has a literal fox head, for whatever reason
Wonder how wildcats will play into this

I hope the Scottish Wildcat theory is true, that sounds fascinating and would be an interesting opportunity to learn a bit about a species I know admittedly very little about!

I love the new map. We've needed something like this for ages. And I knew we'd be seeing the Sisters again. They are too interesting of a concept to discard.

I love the map. The fact that we essentially get a visual of their journey is super nice. The Moonpool being the only part of the lake territory on there makes sense as well, since that's where they met up to start this quest. The Sun-Drown Water was also mentioned in the prologue. But the Moonstone is an interesting one. We have two cats named Slate and Beach who seem to live close to the Sisters camp. They are Rootspring's kin.
But the one I'm most interested in is the Wildcats Camp.

I wonder where the city from TS is. They mentioned they saw the mountain when traveling, right? So is it the city to the right of it? Why not just follow the train tracks again?

The fact that everyone seems to be able to see the map except me is making me feel very squidward in the shuttered window meme
European wildcat though.. They're cooking something. I wonder if they're gonna turn out to be the real original lion/leopard/tigerclan, hence "its time for your story to be remembered."
European/Scottish wildcat = tigerclan African wildcat = lionclan Maybe leopardclan would be a bunch of servals or an Asian leopard cat idk. If they're going for the original clans I think the territory could range wider than Europe.
