Hello, warriors general! I'm Sandpaw, and I'm here to share my thoughts about Yellowfang's Secret by Erin Hunter! They are positive thoughts so far.
So I really enjoy Yellowfang's character a
lot. She's a really nice cat with a healthy relationship with her siblings and an unhealthy relationship with Raggedpelt. I enjoy the drama about the kittypets and Raggedpelt's father, Hal.
I don't like Raggedpelt. He's really nasty to Yellowfang but I think I understand him because she's all he really has besides his clan, amd he was truly upset after he learned the truth about his father, Hal, who didn't care about him.
Russetpaw/Red is really nice here. She just wants to be a warrior and I'm really sad she's so meam later in the series.
Boulder.. I have no opinion. He's just a stray who wanted to become a warrior.
I liked the drama with the kittypets. The battle between ShadowClan and the kittypets was enjoyable for me to read.
I don't like Raggedpelt. I'm sad he's in pain because of Hal and I sympathize with him deeply but I do not like how he treats Yellowfang.
Now, I'm going to be a bit negative here.
I hate Featherstorm. I think she's selfish for breaking the code and lying to her son. It's similar to the story about Hollyleaf and Leafpool, Raggedpelt has every right to stay mad at his mother Featherstorm. I like her name though.
Silverflame was a nice grandma for Yellowfang, and I also liked her name.
I hate Yellowfang's power. It's completely useless and serves nothing to the story.
But so far I like this book
a lot. I like the drama and characters in it and I wish it was more appreciated.
