hi all i had an idea for a roleplay but i wanted to see how many people would be interested in it before i started setting it up!
the setting would be a group of traveling cats who are adding more to their ranks and trying to find their way out of a forest (vaguely Over The Garden Wall inspired, perfect for fall coming up). some of these cats are ex-clan members (the original four clans would be canon to this story but this would definitely be AU), some are loners, others kittypets, but none remember how they got into the forest; they simply wandered too far from home. they'd be forming a small clan of sorts as they proceeded, though there'd definitely be ex-clan cats who oppose this
as for "functions like dnd," i wouldnt want people to roll for every single action because i think that'd take the fun of making things up as you go away. i mean it in the sense that there'd be a DM (me for the main plot, but really anyone for any subplots they decide on) that would guide the roleplay into new settings (example: your group notices a dimly lit twoleg hut in the distance) or introduce new conflicts (example: as you wander through the trees, large scratch marks in the bark become apparent...) so that everyone can participate and the plot keeps moving. the people participating could also definitely introduce settings and conflicts too of course! and the dm would only post plot changes every now and then to give the people participating room to make their own character relationships and happenings
let me know what you guys think should this be more fantasy? less fantasy? i'm open to new ideas and critique!
(i was also thinking that maybe the cats would stand on two legs and wear rudimentary clothes and jewelry to really lean into the dnd aspect, but this is totally optional)

i'm so glad to hear that!! i'm really excited about this idea too i've already started making plot and code if you have any suggestions i'm truly all ears, i'm looking to make this very collaborative so everyone can feel like they play a part! i'm thinking maybe keeping the cats on all fours but allowing little accessories like bells or flowers to keep it true to warrior cats ocs
