Do you think we'll see the return of the lost/forgotten StarClan spirits (like Spottedleaf, and I'm not sure who else atm And also-do you think Bristlefrost will come back (as a ghost) or stay permadead? |

they better stay permadead but if they don't I'd like to see Spottedleaf again

I don't think that we'll see the spirits who died in the great battle, but we could see Bristlefrost as a ghost.
I know that people might be mad at that because it would 'cheapen' Bristlefrost's death in TBC if we did see her again, but personally I think that her death scene was not worth that much. Though I think that if we did see Bristlefrost again, it would work best as a fleeting moment. I don't want Bristlefrost to come back and stay back, but I think it could be interesting for Ivypool and Rootspring to see and hear her again, but be forced to have her slip through their paws again. It could be a time for closure, but also deepen the emotional impact by confirming that they won't see her in StarClan, but she's out there.
But as for the others, I would welcome more lore on what happens to faded cats, but I don't want them to come back to StarClan or anything.

I predict that they will appear, but not as themselves anymore. I want them to be the ones who create prophecies and are completely detached from their old lives. They’re not really themselves anymore, and more like a hive mind. Or it’s like their bodies are being mindlessly puppeted, and their minds are in their happiest future (I hope for this because of Bristle’s ‘vision’ of a happy life she believed she lead). I think those directions could be cool for the world building, and I hope there is a way to see them again that doesn’t also cheapen Bristlefrost’s death.

I think they will not reappear, and the point of the book will be Ivypool learning to finally accept that Bristlefrost is truly gone, get closure, and move forward with life again.

I’m corny af and I honestly wouldn’t mind Bristlefrost coming back. But, if I had it my way, I’d make all the cats who died twice be recycled back as a reincarnation with a second shot at life. Because I’m corny and I don’t like the presence of just ceasing to exist entirely.

I think it wouldn't make sense for any of the faded cats to appear, especially since the plot doesn't seem to be going in that direction anyway. We've certainly had enough of the supernatural for a while now anyway. Let the clans handle real life problems instead of them dealing with Starclan's incompetence.

A journey book where the character(s) fail but end up learning something better is my favorite trope in Warriors, so I hope the situation is similar to that where they try to save bristlefrost but learn a better lesson.

i want Bristlefrost back but I want it to be at the cost of another life. I want Rootspring to sacrifice himself to do some weird thing that brings Bristlefrost back but destroys him just like she was. I want Ivypool to realize that even with exactly what she could only dream of she has no idea what to do moving forward.
I want Bristlefrost to be back but just as lost. She was happy as she died and now she has been ripped back into a world that mostly moved on from her. She goes from nothing at all to a mess of grief and guilt and even some anger at Rootspring for throwing this all at her, which makes her feel even worse. Her clanmates all look at her oddly and treat her differently now. She knows they also don't know what to feel. She can't bring herself to face Violetshine at gatherings.
Also I just want Rootspring to never, ever, ever have any chance to become Rootstar and I don't like him sooooo

I hope not.
But if so, I would be a tad more interested in seeing villains who faded also be shown one last time. Not in a "oh no, they are back as main villains for more arcs to come" route but rather in a different way (though I'm not exactly sure which one myself lol).
Anyways, I would just prefer it more if characters who double died continue to simply haunt the narrative via a few mentions per arc instead of full on coming back because the writers are running out of ideas and recycling material.

I hope Bristlefrost doesn’t come back. Her death is the first death that actually affected me. The way Rootspring described her being completely gone made my chest physically hurt. It would be a waste and insulting to bring her back

Honestly I hope not. Making them fade twice had no purpose then if they’re ultimately brought back in their original forms, imo. I wouldn’t mind seeing them reincarnated I suppose???? or just stay completely gone- I’d like to see how the Erin’s would navigate Ivy just accepting Bristle’s never coming back in its finality and how that’d play out with others like Root, Fern, etc.
