It's so sad that they cut out the 32 page recap of tnp

Sure, we're getting less pages, but have you considered that maybe they're finally cutting all the unnecessary filler out? We've all been reading and following along; we don't need another two chapters worth of ASC recapping.

In respect for filled, someone could be picking up the series randomly and starting with this book… They may need the filler.
(We have had people mentioning having started in either OOTS, PO3, where filler is a bit needed.)

I can also see a parent just seeing book one and picking it up for their child who will then become very confused by the plot and the amount some characters have endured.
(I also have little faith in parents considering my mother got me the first and second series out of order, so this is entirely plausible with eight different book one’s. And while the books are fairly ordered on the inside and the back, a parent isn’t going to pay attention to that.)

Like later into the series, we can cut down on filler older readers already know but a first book of a series kinda needs it due to the likely chance this is the book, a new reader is starting with.
(Plus it would be cool if Leafstar did open up about her daughters being dead, Firestar and Sandstorm’s namesakes, since that hasn’t been brought. I don’t think Harrybrook has even been mentioned as her son in the recent arcs., so yeah, filler needed for emotional attachments.)
