I'm making my return to the forums after a couple years to ask, is ASC worth reading? I'm currently behind on the series (uni has me stuck on book four of TBC, and I'm behind on super editions and novellas as well), so I was wondering if I should continue the series?
Without spoiling, what're your favourite bits of the newest arc, least favourites, etc?

It is definitely worth reading. ASC is tied with POT as the best arc for me. I just love the main characters and how much they grow in each book. Overall it is an enjoyable arc.

ASC is interesting because the main arc conflict is about clan politics. There’s little to no supernatural conflicts, which is a nice change after the last few arcs.

Absolutely it is worth reading. It's tied with the first arc for me, and this is because of many things.
- It is less of a supernatural arc. If you are confused by what goes on in TBC, this will be a big plus. - All of the main characters are pretty strong by Warriors' standards, and they all grow to an extent. - Clan politics is at the forefront, making background characters significantly more important, interesting and enjoyable. - The villains are (in my opinion) some of the best in the series, with most of them falling outside the completely evil mold that most WC villains fall into. - The world seems more lived in than it has since Omen of the Stars. - The conflict is grounded, and is more relatable and interesting than those of most arcs.
These are just my opinions, but I think that it is definitely worth a read.

Yes. Definitely one of my favorite arcs for the villains, the development of the protags, and the fact that plot mostly centers around Clan politics instead of around supernatural or StarClan conflicts.

It's an improvement compared to TBC.

I’m realizing my reply never posted for some reason ??? But hearing that the arc’s more focused on politics is a relief to me. I looooved PoT as a younger kid but I’m realizing as I get older, I tend to like more of the inner-clan conflicts as opposed to whatever’s happening with the pseudo cat gods 😂
That’s not to say I don’t enjoy a little bit of StarClan’s appearances every once and a while, but such a heavy reliance on that element can be such a drain in my opinion (at least when done in the way the books have).
