Probably crookedstar, mappleshade,Bluestar, there's alot, I'd say Bristlefrost is tragic to her death but also what the writing did to her character.

Bristlefrost honestly. She was handed a very cruel fate and whatever you think about Crookedstar's or Bluestar's lives, at the very least they had a chance at a happy afterlife. Bristlefrost doesn't even have that.

Bristlefrost doesn't even have that. Honestly I'd say that this is more tragic for her loved ones than for her. Bristlefrost ceased to exist, she cannot care about not having an afterlife. But it's terrible that those who love her must go on existing in the afterlife for almost an eternity knowing they will never reunite.

Goosefeather. Swamped constantly with prophecies and visions of the future, doomed to live and be remembered as the crazy medicine cat. imagine having so much knowledge and be unable to have cats either believe you or coherently interpret what you see, if you even understand it in the first place

I’d say Bluestar, but the existence of StarClan makes me not read her Shakespearean tragedy of a character arc as sadly as I should.

Yeah, I just mean that after her death, since she ceased to exist, that moment of agony ended for her. She doesn’t experience the present tragedy of having double-died; it doesn't effect her in any enduring way because there’s no more “her”. So the ongoing tragedy of her fate has more to do with other characters having to live with it.

Hot take, but Scourge. The way a tiny, shy, troubled child is failed by the cats around him and turns into a bloodthirsty monster is absolutely devastating, also because this happens a lot in real life. Tiny had so much potential. If a Twoleg noticed the little kitten, he could have been someone's best friend. If he had stayed with Quince, she would love him in her household anyways. If the Clan cats showed more mercy, he could have been a strong warrior. But everyone, except for Quince, failed this child.
Honorable mention to Brokenstar for similar, is not as extreme, reasons.
"The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth."

For me, it's Shadowsight that comes to mind first. He was misguided and lost in the shadow, trying to find his identity as a medicine cat and a Clan cat.

That being said her death genuinely is quite a shock to all her loved ones and you can feel the weight of the situation from their reactions. Dying and going to StarClan is one thing, never being able to see them even in death, is another. Ivypool fought for moons to survive in the Dark Forest, and brave it every night, before eventually escaping that darkness. Only to lose her own daughter to is later down her life. Plus, I will say the moment Rootspring speaks about his feelings over everything, over losing Bristlefrost, at a gathering, still hurts to think about. You can tell he was broken, and he demanded that there should be change in honor of Bristlefrost. Hits pretty dang hard.

I'm going to call in another tragic character;
Briarlight
To be on the verge of receiving your Warrior name, something you had worked your entire life for, only to be so severely hurt saving a clanmate that any hope of a normal life (just as your life is beginning ) is snatched from you, is so tragic. And trying to find a new role within your Clan that serves your clan and gives you a sense of purpose? When you thought your life would be on one singular projection? Devastating.

Frostpaw, anyone? Maybe she's not the most tragic character, but she's pretty close.

I honestly don't think Mapleshade's life is that tragic. A lot of the hardships she put on herself. If she had been more transparent/less arrogant with handling her kit situation, and listening to the cats around her, then so much tragedy could have been prevented. If anything the kits themselves are the true victims.

I say Bluestar. Losing her kits, deceived/lied to by clanmates, going mad, not knowing who or what to believe, and then dying as she did

When it comes to Mapleshade, you still have to think of it from her perspective. In her pov it is tragic. She lost her home, her children, the mate that told her he only loved her, and lies to her face. She was left with nothing.
At the end of the day she was still attacked in front of her own children. Casted out into a storm, left to drown, and thrown under the bus. Just because everyone around her was heartless doesn't mean she wasn't deserving of leniency regardless of her actions. Her and her kits shouldn't have been exiled, they should have been safely escorted form the start, not persecuted and treated like trash.
I honestly think one of the things that seem to be forgotten is that when Mapleshade and her kits were swept under by the water, her head slammed into the bottom of the river. And despite that she still tried desperately to save her kits, not caring if she downed too. She cared about them, even if they met a grim fate, and she herself went mad with grief.
Literally the deciding factor in all of this wasn't even about her having another clan cat's kits, it was just because the father happened to already be Appledusk. And even then, it doesn't justify the treatment she and her children received.

I like all the suggestions here but I'm also going to nominate Leafpool. Her love ended tragically; she gave up her kits to protect them, had to watch them grow up without her and eventually come to hate her; she KNEW that Hollyleaf killed Ashfur, not to mention how Holly attempted to kill her and died young right as she began to forgive; she was made a social pariah and stripped of the role of medicine cat throughout most of OOTS; she died in a horrible accident; StarClan almost rejected her for doing what they had advised her to do... There's a sort of throughline of her being forced into the role of passive witness/scapegoat to the dysfunction of the people she cares about, almost? Which I find very sad.
Squirrelstar suffered a lot too, but at least she's still alive and got to eventually become leader. Leafpool's life is really sad, even if she did really make the best of it.

It's Sparkpelt.
She has to put up with her parents' constant arguments and defend her mother because her father is acting like a **** (She just like me fr) And when she's pregnant, she gets sick.
Spark had to deliver when her husband is practically dying because he is equally ill. She also had a stillborn kit, so oof.
Plus, her mother is crushed in a landslide, as if that weren't enough.

Definitely Crookedstar when it comes to traumatic events. He had every cat in his life die almost back to back and was somehow able to continue to stand strong until the end, which is crazy... But I also thing Briarlight, Badgerfang, Swiftpaw, Bluestar, Ivypool and that one cat who died during the badger attack while his legs were broken are close picks for me, too.
