I don't know specifically if I need to be a certain rank to be able to make a clan, as I see most others are Warriors or at the least Apprentices while making posts.
If I do! Go ahead of shooting me down! I got a lot of time to think anyways lol.
I have a lot of ideas looking forward to this and I've always liked starting projects and creating a ongoing story, so I figured. Why not make a roleplay clan where I can interact with daily and have people enjoy it?
Thinking of names for this clan, I was feeling a marshy sort of place, I live next to this sorta more of infamous park nearby called Sawgrass Lake, known for being a slightly more tropical, but both a mix of dry and wet marsh. I've always imagined cats living in here as a kid, so I figured about making a clan in it!
Names I have lined up, Windoverclan - I like it, and it's a play on words, since the forest and marsh are so thick, it's like the wind is over the camp! Also it's a direct reference to the original series Warriors as that's the human name for the Thunderpath and Barley's farm. Druidclan - It gives more of a watery vibe to me, and to be honest I kinda like it! It gives me a idea of a wet marsh place, which of course we have 3 little areas to place camp, so this is definitely the name for a wet marsh clan. Also the human name for the Falls and the Fourtrees. Canopyclan - A clan that lives among the leaves and the thick branches of the forest. It's really enticing to me! It's giving me the tropical sort of vibe when thinking about it.
So feel free to give out some ideas for names too! I pretty much listed the names for the 3 sorta biomes smushed into the idea that I have. Tropical, Wet, or Dry marsh.

So to get this out of the way I already have a idea of what I want to post when time comes.
Post 1 - i. Introduction ii. Directory (This includes Main, Discussion, and Joining)
Post 2 - i. Rules ii. Forms
Post 3 - i. Clan camp ii. Clan description + not just camp
Post 4 - i. Clan landmarks ii. Clan land mark descriptions
Post 5 - i. Clan cats and their descriptions. - Leader - Deputy - Med Cat - Apprentice - Warriors - Elders - Apprentices - Kits - Loner
Post 6 - i. All valid descriptions and information about the roles ii. All credit to anyone applicable iii. All members who're joined or affiliated with the roleplay are @'d
I think there's a whole layout and template of what you should post for a open clan? I've found it before but I lost it completely, I've also seen people do layouts completely differently. If there's a possibility this is correct then that's awesome ! <3

With the clan descriptions, or if I group it in with the descriptions and information about the roles, there will be traditions and characteristics too! So stay tuned for that.

Landscape - Wet, dry, or tropical biome. REFERENCE Sawgrass Lake Park OPEN FOR IDEAS
Names -
Windoverclan - I like it, and it's a play on words, since the forest and marsh are so thick, it's like the wind is over the camp! Also it's a direct reference to the original series Warriors as that's the human name for the Thunderpath and Barley's farm.

Canopyclan - A clan that lives among the leaves and the thick branches of the forest. It's really enticing to me! It's giving me the tropical sort of vibe when thinking about it.
OPEN FOR IDEAS
Characterizations - They stalk in the trees and use branches to their advantage, the thick branches are able to support many cats at once, most prey (if not in the water*) live in these trees. The forest floor is too thin and small for most prey to live, but does home prey and predators. They are many different types of coats and cats in the clan, deriving from different places and homes, most of them are broad shouldered and have a balanced weight to support jumping and falling from the highest and lowest of heights from the canopy to the forest floor. Clan cats may choose to eat the prey that they want, most cats that are dry-footed eat the prey from the trees and the forest floor. Whereas the cats who aren't as nimble to jump and climb hunt in the wet marsh in the waters, where they hunt different types of fish and prey that live in the water. Cats use the thick trees and forest scent to hide from predators and Twolegs that may threaten them. Predators live in both the forest floor and the swampish water, the cats have adapted to these conditions and the horrible storms that may come with it. OPEN FOR IDEAS

ii. RULES + CLAN CODE ✩ Please read before joining!
Please read these RP rules before joining. Before reading these, be aware that if you have any issues and complaints, feel free to inbox me. Also if you are like me and have a struggle with understanding directions and reading large text. This will not be held against you <3 I'm autistic myself and struggle with this at times, but please read it to the best of your capability.
i. Roleplay Rules. i. FORUM RULES - Please abide by forum rules when posting, roleplaying, and even in conversations.
Please check them here* and here*.
ii. TOPICS - I do not allow homophobia, transphobia, racism, or xenophobia, ableism or any other topic in my roleplays or posts. Keep this to none, please! Drama including outside cats are allowed but lets not get it to a drastic measure please.
iii. ON LEAVE - When you join, please post at least once for at least two weeks, please let us know in the Discussion* page if anything ever happens. Obviously, you'll be excused.
iv. LEGIBILITY - Please make your posts readable, as for myself, I have a hard time reading things if they're all jumbled misspelled text, so please keep that to a minimum.
v. JOINING - When you join, make sure you fill out the form completely, and neatly, if you acronym your cats name, it will be the cat's canon name in the roleplay.
(EX. "My cat's name is Squilf." Instead of Squirrelflight, now Squilf is on the clanmate page.)
Listing off topic things will be really confusing for me and hard for me to copy and paste into the clanmate page. When you're done reading this rule, the password for your form is, "what is your favorite food?" Remember when you post, it must be legible and fully complete.
vi. ROLEPLAY POSTS - Dramatic overpowered characters are PROHIBITED, unless they were awarded from Starclan themselves, in which that will be for Discussion*. All characters will die, be sick, go on leave, fail a hunt, get hurt, and much more. It's okay to make mistakes. But a cat with angel wings and long sharp aimbot claws do NOT fit the description.
vii. INTERACTIONS - You may roleplay your interactions with yourself, but keep it to a minimum, as other people may want to strengthen their roleplay and interact.
viii. CHARACTERS - You may have multiple characters, or one. But please remember to use them all. If you don't you may be leaving some people unavailable to use their characters, or it may clutter the clanmate page.
ix. POSTING - Preferably no one liners, make it easier for people to interact with you and make your character more interesting!
x. OOC (OUT OF CHARACTER) - When you go out of character, please make lines or icons to make it out of character. Use () // || \\ {} [] or anything that makes you feel comfortable! But please make it aware.
xi. PLOTS - Any plots being made must be brought to Discussion* there we will talk about it, please take it upon yourself or other people to make a omen that no one agreed to, remember there's other people in this roleplay, not a fanfic.
ii. CLAN CODE ✩ These are made to be broken *
ENTER THE STARS These rules have been made over generations with the cats following the stars in their paws. Without these codes in place the clan would be destroyed. The cats most follow these stars willingly and take on the responsibility of their loved ones and their clan. To take care of the forest.
i. Clan Code i. DEFEND YOUR CLAN - Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from outside the Clan, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may lead them to their danger, not all cats are cut out to be in Clan life, or that you lead the Clan to their danger.
ii . TRESSPASSING - Be weary of your surroundings, danger will always lurk from every crease of the forest, and even in the water, if you don't feel it's your place to hunt, retreat.
iii. FEEDING - Elders and kits, and queens must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
iv. PREY - Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
v. APPRENTICING - A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. With no exceptions.
vi. VIGILS - Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their
warrior name for the respect and thanks of their ancestors.
vii. DEPUTY - A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
viii. LEADING - The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
ix. II. DEPUTY - After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen
before moonhigh.
x. BOUNDARIES - Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats, but do not harm them unless needed.
xi. KITS - No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is alone and a outsider.
xii. II. LEADING - The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code, unless certain extent is necessary.
xiii. WARRIOR - An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless it is necessary for self-defense.
xiv. II. WARRIOR - A warrior shall reject the ideals of becoming a Twoleg pet.
IMPORTANT EXTRA ! DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ! If you have any issue with any of these feel free to DM.
Clan code is made to be broken or create nuance in the roleplay but if any subplot or plot is involved - Please go straight to Discussion*

iii. WINDOVERCLAN
i. About the clan The cats live in a tropical, marshland forest. That includes a dry and wet marsh. Cat's often hunt and live in both of these areas, cats that are considered dry-paw hunt in the drier areas closer to the forest opening. Whereas, cats that are considered wet-paw live and hunt easier in and near the marsh and the lake. Dry-pawed cats tend to live on the farther northern side of camp and are bare more broad and muscular body shapes, and wet-pawed cats are more nimble and slim. Wet-pawed cats use this to their capability to be faster in swimming, whereas dry-pawed cats use these muscles to climb, jump and fall from far places.
ii. Traditions Cats follow the ancestors of the clan called Starclan. They follow the Warrior code with it. They'll sacrifice their lives for their loved ones and their clan. True love mates will choose each other when they finally see a hummingbird. Apprentices and Warriors stay vigil for their ceremonies, and the whole clan gathers when a loved one has fallen. True love is shown with a spotting of a hummingbird, but most mates consider a feather of a Oriole as a sign of love. Only full grown warriors find true love. Clan cats share tongues and share old tales or new stories about their day, all cats consider the clan to be loved ones and are united. iv. WINDOVERCLAN
i. Clan Landmarks These cat's have specific landmarks to patrol, hunt, journey and gather. But opposed to them, Twolegs also have their own landmarks, and also were human made. Read and find out your surroundings.
ii. Characterizations They stalk in the trees and use branches to their advantage, the thick branches are able to support many cats at once, most prey (if not in the water*) live in these trees. Cats use the thick trees and forest scent to hide from predators and Twolegs that may threaten them. vi. ROLEPLAY NOTES ✩ Pepperfrost
Check these out if you're out the loop!
Role Descriptions Leader - A leader is a warrior who is highest in the Clan hierarchy. The leader is responsible for everything that goes on in a Clan. They must follow the Warrior code as much as any cat else, and shall not push over the code. They must follow in Starclan's footsteps and keep their clan safe at any cost.
Deputies - are second in command of a Clan. A deputy is chosen by the leader to be their successor. Deputies sleep in the warriors' den; they do not have their own den like leaders do. Deputies are responsible for organizing daily patrols for the Clan, such as hunting patrols and border patrols. They help out the Leader's duties and must respect their leaders decision.
Medicine cats - Clan cats who treat diseases and injuries, and who receive directions and guidance from StarClan. They have their own den in their Clan's camp, where they sleep, store herbs, and treat wounded or sick cats.
Medicine cat apprentice - Medicine cat apprentices are taught about healing techniques, such as how to care for a sick cat, or what herbs and medicines do. They are usually taught in the medicine cat's den, or outside the camp when they gather herbs. They also learn how to interpret signs from StarClan.
Warriors - Warriors have been trained in the ways of fighting and hunting in addition to the ways of the warrior code. They are charged with the responsibility to feed and protect cats who are elderly or unable to spend time out of camp. Warriors make up most of a Clan: many cats are, were, or will be a warrior (an exeception being medicine cats), unless they die before they become are able to become one. When a she-cat is expecting or nursing kits, they temporarily give up their warrior duties and become queens, but take them up again when their kits are apprenticed. Although, some cats would rather stay in the nursery as permanent queens to help other queens and the arrivals of new kits.
Queens - A queen is a she-cat that is expecting or has recently given birth to a litter of kits. Though known to be overly-protective of kits, queens usually are compassionate and kind, and in many cases they have been known to convince their mates or Clan leaders to take in cats in need of help.
Apprentices - Apprentices are Clan cats six moons or older, in training to be a warrior or a medicine cat, and each young cat is assigned a mentor. All apprentices' names end with the suffix "-paw" (i.e., Lionpaw, Breezepaw, Leafpaw) which symbolizes the path their paws are on, until they receive their warrior name.
Kits - A kit is a cat under the age of six moons who is still living in the nursery with their mother and littermates.
Starclan Members - StarClan are the deceased ancestors, descendants, and Clanmates of the Clan cats. Cats are only allowed to join StarClan when they die if they have lived an honorable life and followed the warrior code.
Dark forest Members - Cats that betrayed StarClan, their own Clan, or disobeyed the warrior code and thus were sent to the Dark Forest upon their death. Although they generally walk alone, there have been a few exceptions.

vii. Roleplay History ✩ Pepperfrost
Clan History THE FLOOD
A dangerous flood has troubled the clan, some cats did not survive. The leader has lost one life since this incident. The flood has surpassed but now the camp has been destroyed. Cats have been grieving for their loved ones and sitting vigil for Starclan's answers, since then the Clan has been restored.
- LOST ONES Many cats have lost their lives to the storm. So many loved ones have fallen, since then the Clan has been untrustworthy of Starclan, no signs were given before the storms coming. Could this have been a punishment? Some cats have been looking up to Starclan and begging for answers, none has come yet. Maybe this is a sign for a new leaf to turn. Current Plots RESTORING
The Clan has been restored, herbs and prey piles are slowly been replaced, and dens have been redug. All of the decorations have been destroyed. A large branch has fallen since this incident and now is on the left side of the camp, the cats have been discovering what to do with it or if they should move it. Cats have been rediscovering the forest and camp since the storm. Subplots + Upcoming plots SUBPLOTS RECONNECTION
Since the storm and the restoration of the camp, the cats have been reconnecting with their peers and working together to gather resources. New cats have been joining the clan and helping out and working together.
Since then, the cats have been searching looking forward to Starclan and their answers, desperately trying to connect to Starclan, and beg for forgiveness or a reason as to why this all happened. During this, the cats have been connecting with each other and living peacefully then before.
