Hi, first time over here on the art side of things! I wanted to share the 1 and a half year difference between my first digital Warrior Cats art and my latest, as well as get any tips because my cats still look a bit wonky to me. I’ve always preferred pencil so trying this out with no knowledge of drawing application was difficult, and I’m still learning! First is my, er, stupendous rendition of Twigbranch and Finleap: And my most recent, and unfinished in many ways, Frostpaw and Whistlepaw! Theres lots to add in the recent drawing (filling in Whistlepaw’s stripes and ear, adding Frostpaw’s scar and fixing her tail, shading, which I recently learned how to do easily and have been having a blast with), but before I added more I wanted to know if anybody had any tips or tricks to improve my art!

Can I ask what tools/program you use?
I'm also (re)learning drawing cats, and what helped most for me was just sketching from reference until I could kinda understand the shapes of things like legs and ears and proportions, like the shoulder-hip distance and how muzzle perspective works, and that helped a bit. I've been operating off the "know the rule to understand how to break it" kind of thing, so I've started with more realistic poses and body shapes and only recently have been trying new things (like stylistically long legs/tails).
You've had tons of improvements between the two tho! Much better shape and color choice. Practice really is the key, and artfight can help if you're willing to put yourself out there a bit.

I’ve used ibispaintX as long as I had an Apple Pencil for my iPad. And thank you for the advice! I’ve always gone for a more cartoony approach, but the body proportions is always something I never felt confident about.

Wowow! You've really improved a lot! It's looking great so far :3 I really like the expressions and colors you have for them. It's a really cute piece! As for advice, I'd suggest maybe making the white kitty a little smaller than the front cat since they're further back in the piece. And maybe twisting the front cats body a bit so you can see more of their back rather than a side view. If that makes sense?? I'm not super good at explaining alkdjfakdjf
