I have a hard time understanding what his plan was in the forest. If he wanted to rule the forest, then why? Power? and then what, just rule like every leader but with a bigger clan? I mean, as humans I would get it. Money. Ressources. Territory keeping enemies fearful. But then he wouldn't have any enemy (remove BloodClan of the equation, I understand it as his initial plan when killing Bluestar). It's not like he can build anything, they are cats. He can recruit an army of cats but to walk on who? Simply to then live peacefully until his death? I may be dumb, I'm not hiding that fact, so I may just have forgotten something.

Respect and fear from everyone is a pretty good prize for someone like that.

Respect and fear from everyone is a pretty good prize for someone like that. Yeah I guess, it just feels so weak you know. I mean, when coupled with his backstory and all I guess it can be cool but with TPB alone I felt a bit robbed of a close-to-perfect villain.

I think he might have felt vulnerable and weak as a kit, because he was the only kit in his litter and his dad left. Maybe he feared that someone would bully him because of that/someone did. At first maybe he just wanted to lead thunderclan and got bad when he got banished. Maybe he wanted to take revenge on firestar by pushing him down from the leader’s place.

I think his only goal was being seen as the strongest cat in the forest. Tigerstar hates anything he deems to be weak, and in his mind being leader is the ultimate form of strength and power. That’s why he hates cats like Pinestar, Bluestar, Firestar, and Tallstar, because they’re “weak” in his eyes. It’s why he underestimates Scourge. They don’t deserve to be leader. And the Clans don’t deserve to have any “weak” warriors. Tigerstar thought that if he took over the forest, he’d be able to rid the forest of everything he deemed as weak, and rule it with an iron fist, doing whatever he wanted. He doesn’t want territory for more hunting grounds. He wants it because it shows he’s stronger and more powerful than everyone else, because he was able to have all four Clans relinquish their lands to him, something no one else has achieved. It shows he’s feared, and that means no one will mess with him. Everything is all about strength and power to him, and that’s all he cares about. I think if he was successful in taking over the forest, he’d continue to move the goal post on what he considers weak, until the Clans were run into the ground. The worse things get, the more desperate he would become until his actions inevitably leave him with nothing/dead.

Possibly that feeling of control, stemming from his kithood weakness and Pinestar leaving the clan.

There's been enough warlords with a similar mindset that it seems like it fits fine to me.
