Honestly, I'm sick of Ivypool taking up too much spotlight, even after OotS.
I mean she's already been a spy for the Three. She already had two apprentices - why couldn't Dovewing have one? There are so many warriors who hasn't had an apprentice yet but the Erins chose Ivypool?
Also, from what I'm hearing, Ivypool's even spoken quite a few times in TaS. I'm not that far into the book but it seems like she's been used quite a bit already.
It just bothers me how the Erins still use her a lot. I honestly expected her to be a background character by now. And I wouldn't be surprised if the Erins pick her to be the next deputy because she's honestly (as much as I dislike to admit it) the only suitable warrior for that status. Giving her two apprenties only gives her an extra boost to becoming deputy.
But honestly I wish they'd use Dovewing a little more. She was great in Bramblestar's Storm but now they just threw her into the background. I just want more of a surprise rather than a former main character to still have the spotlight for some of these things. I feel like the Erins are completely ignoring Dovewing because they know that the fans dislike her and they're using Ivypool instead. I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, they killed off Ferncloud because she was hated on so much. They're probably going to either kill off Dovewing or make her become a useless background character.
