I was trying to figure out the same thing. My guess is maybe they're changing the story a bit to explain brightpaw and Thornpaws late apprenticeship, like making them part of 2 separate litters. The two unknown kits could be part of the first litter that die in the GN maybe. Or it could be uhhhh swiftkit and elderkit? Idk if that's possible based off the timeline.

I think the black and white kit is Swiftpaw. He looks a little bigger than Cinder and Bracken, which makes sense since he’s older than them.

I don’t know who the brown kit in the back is. Maybe one of the nameless ones who disappeared that arc?
