Hellooooo folks~
YewClan is reaching 50 moons and six months of life, I thought it might be time to open a second Clangen-based Claim-a-cat rp. I was thinking it might be quite interesting indeed to simulate one of YewClan's neighbors (PlumClan, specifically!) and open that up to new players who might be intimidated by YewClan's long history, activity requirements or long replies.
So I thought I'd throw up a poll, see how many people would be interested in filling a new Clangen rp. This rp would be in a similar format to YewClan's, but less structured. There wouldn't be as much pressure for activity, or for reply length and depth as YewClan's players have come to settle on.
Instead, this rp would invite a little chaos and be more volatile in general: inviting loners and kits would happen more frequently, but patrols will also be more dangerous. The idea is that it would be easier to drop in and out of, and there would always be slots for new players to join. With less focus on inter-character relationships and emphasis on the Clan as a whole, PlumClan would allow much more flexibility in activity and player count than YewClan can currently accomidate.
There are two parts to the poll. Please vote for one of the first three (the interest check) and if applicable, to the bottom option that best fits you. (The second part is mostly to gauge what overlap in interest there would be, and also how to make this rp different to be more accessible to players who were interested in YewClan, but are hesitant to apply).
Please please please comment if you are interested along with ANY questions/suggestions you may have to improve upon YewClan's model!
Thanks all~

I'm gonna have to make another banner aren't I? xp
Seriously though, when in the forum lifecycle did we lose banners? that used to be like, the BIGGEST thing opening a new rp on the old forums

The find and replace tool is my best friend
HTML that randomly converts One(1) hexcode into rgb is my mortal enemy

I feel like they're a welcoming piece to a thread and it provides like a sneak peek into the clan. but for the poll: I chose I'm already in YewClan and the temptation to join PlumClan is real, but I'll hold off. Other members need to experience your amazing rp <3

Managing to get a request slot from a good shop was like. idk getting designer clothes. It was such a vibe. and thank you <3 I really want to host so many Clans tbh but I would rather have one or two Good rps than flood with more than the forum ecosystem is ready to support. Which is why so many of my projects are put into post-it Clans. Rather have one good thing to host and give that Clan-making creative energy a different outlet. Otherwise, I'd be making a new rp page every other month >.<

I kinda wonder where they went after the wcf died. I'd go back to doing banners & coding layouts, but I don't know how many people would be interested or would use them. maybe it is something to interest check? I'm unsure atm. you're welcome! <3 I agree with that. I keep a lot of my clans in my drafts instead of opening them as a rp because I know they wouldn't survive fan clans' ecosystem. I should probably put them in post-it Clans though, that'd be a good idea o:

I could never stick with requests I can't do designs at a consistent quality and it makes me feel bad to give people subpar work. But I had LOADS of people requesting even in the two months I tried to provide that service, so it def would go well if you opened a shop. it also has helped my Clan making addiction(tm) to open the Clan request thread. Then I don't have to have that lingering fear that I'll come back to the project on repeat: as soon as it's done, it's not mine to worry about anymore. And I can repeat the coding templates I made and not have to make something new each time xp

I remember the amount of requests I'd get on the wcf-- teenager me was happy but a bit stressed lmao. I might as well do it, trying doesn't hurt! the two I have on post-it Clans need to be updated, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Plus, I have several other clans that I've never posted which should go there... since I'm bored, I might just do it. coding templates are my favorite-- it at least gives me something to go off of and then I reuse it for months.

Slight update:
I'm going to open PlumClan up tonight to start allowing people to claim cats if they wish. There will only be nine or ten slots available for the opening PlumClan roster, and each person would only be allowed one claim until tuesday, then people can double up. This will all be repeated on PlumClan's page, but anyone who has this bookmarked can get this heads up a few hours early~
Unlike YewClan, PlumClan will have a separate joining page. This is mostly because I expect PlumClan to have people floating in and out more frequently than YewClan, and it would be much easier for me to keep track of forms and stuff if they weren't interspersed between roleplay posts on page 220 ya know?
But yeah, it's gotta be tonight. The next real viable window to open PlumClan would be July 1st and. Uh that's not the best week to be opening a rp lmao
