Hello and welcome! I am wanting to create a new Clan that is set in a more futuristic city where the cats live in a shopping mall that has been converted by humans to be their only livable shelter. It has since been abandoned after all the humans have died off, but the cats still thrive here. The mall is becoming overgrown with vegetation and the prey and predators have become mutated. The outside world has not been explored in over a hundred years. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

D I S M A L C L A N Everybody has their own story of their coming to be. This Clan is not unlike that. Many moons ago, there was one small group of ragtag loners and rogues. The city was still alive and growing, with Twolegs inhabiting every floor of every building, walking along every sidewalk and driving down every street in their monsters. This ragtag group didn't have any special name. They were always on the move so a home was never something constant. They slept underground in the sewers or underneath dumpsters in back alleys. Soon the Twolegs began turning the two-story shopping mall into their new home, following the end of the world. The outside world was left uninhabited and the shopping mall became the hub with the second floor being strictly apartments and the main floor becoming populated with bigger stores including a grocery store, clothing stores, a butcher, and many more.
The once little ragtag group has grown over the many moons. The Twolegs have all since died off of disease, leaving this group which later became DismalClan, alone to fend for themselves. The once expansive and beautiful shopping mall has become overgrown and the cats are stuck catching mutant rodents and birds that have found their way inside and drinking stagnant water that collects in pools when it rains. With the outside world not having been explored in almost a century, will the cats of DismalClan survive? ladylantsov I was thinking these for mutant prey/predators:
- Name? - Two headed deer with poison antlers
- Stonepecker - woodpecker mutant with a metal beak that pecks at concrete
- Name? - raccoon with scales and fur, sharp fangs
- Giant Rats - huge cat-sized rats with two tails
Maybe something with wings and talons that never could fly before, or maybe a bird of some sort with fangs

Important question about the deer, would it be one antler per head, or four poisoned antlers. Tho all the other animals are believable in a city setting, less sure about deer?
and maybe some kind of feral mutated dog?

Hi there! I'd be really interested in helping with this!
Other animals you'd find in a city setting that you could add mutations to would be::
-Squirrels
-Mice
-Rabbits
-Red Fox (you do actually see them in cities)
-Maybe even seagulls if the city is near any larger bodies of water (there could be a glass ceiling to the mall maybe that's broken and allows them to fly in and out)

If that's okay I would love to make a big ole sweetheart momma newfoundland who lives in the nursery and helps take care of and protect the kits. She was born unable to have pups. |

I need to think of a good name for her then.
What types of names would be prevalent in the clan?
And maybe only some mutated. It wouldn't make it sense for only the cats to have not mutated, having a few other species remain normal would make more sense in the world structure

Seagulls- Mutant name?- (two sets of wings, fangs, are now carnivorous, large enough to carry off unsupervised kits)
Squirrels- Mutant name?- (normally have 2-3 tails, very tall but thin ears, and all white eyes that see using heat)
Deer- Mutant name? - Two headed deer with poison antlers
Woodpecker- Stonepecker - woodpecker mutant with a metal beak that pecks at concrete
Raccoon- Mutant name? - raccoon with scales and fur, sharp fangs
Giant Rats- Mutant name?- huge cat-sized rats with two tails
Normal::
Mice
Rabbits
Finches and Sparrows
Some types of fish (some included in this are salmon, trout, and perch)(minnows are mutated)
Bats
I have no clue if the red fox should be mutated or not. How are these ideas though?

Alright sounds good.
And would Leto be an okay name for the dog character? She's from greek mythology and is the mother of Apollo and Zeus. I love her story and how she went through so much to find somewhere safe for her kids and she's the Titan goddess of motherhood.

So the sacred symbols of Leto are a veil, dates, palm tree, olive tree, the rooster, wolf, weasel and gryphon. Maybe I can come up with a name from one of those?
