I'm curious to see which one will win here. Personally, I would rank them like this: Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland, ITSV & ATSV, then Toby Maguire

I'm biased because Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spiderman was one of my favorite movies as a teenager. I do also like Miles Morales a lot. To me, they are the best at depicting the "friendly neighborhood superhero" that is quintessential to the character, coming off as just a nerdy but kind high schooler who gets super powers and does exactly what you'd expect a nerdy but kind highschool boy to do with them.
The other two aren't bad, but Tom Holland's lacks the "friendly neighborhood" aspect with so much of his achievements/powers coming from being friends with Tony Stark and having a fancy suit, and Toby Maguire's lacks a certain element of believable "high school boy".

I love all of them for diff reasons. Like I love Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies the best, I think. And I do like his portrayal of Spider-Man. Butttt when I think of more of the classic Spider-Man’s, it would be Toby. I grew up with watching Toby as Spider-Man so there’s a certain nostalgia to that. Like he’ll always be the original. Howeverrrrr~ my favorite is Andrew Garfield. I love his Spider-Man and what he brings to the character. And he’s definitely my spirit animal xD We need more Andrew Garfield Spider-Man’s bc he’s great.

I think I'm biased to Toby's spiderman because he was the first I saw and those movies had a lot more goofy-ish charm to them. Andrew's Spiderman was good in its own way but when it first came out I know people really didn't like the tonal shift to being more serious and kind of dark. Tom... I havent seen much of him bc I don't like modern marvel at all. I don't really think he's even that good an actor because his spiderman seems to just be sadboy puppydog man and I just don't care. Why is it every time I see anything about him or see clips it's always him needing help from everyone else and being pathetic despite literally being a superhero.

I think the movies pre-MCU are best. They have like comic book charm and aren’t like stylistically as rinse and repeat like a lot of MCU movies. Tom’s are still fun but it’s not really Spider-Man. Tobey’s felt like, yeah this guy isn’t a kid but it still had the fun comic book feel to it, with a Spider-Man that was down on his luck and felt like a more realistic city kid getting into these problems. Amazing spider man was too scary for me as a kid and I haven’t rewatched them lol.
I liked the first spider verse but didn’t really like the second all that much. It was kinda boring for me and I didn’t like that we didn’t get like a resolution to the story. It felt like it was built to be a cash grab and that annoyed me. I think that was the only one of the ones I’ve seen that I found myself not really wanting to watch it though. The others were still all decent movies.

I think Andrew nails it. I know people complained his Peter Parker was too "cool" but I really can't see that. Like what? He's the most awkward guy on earth. Just because he's not stereotypically nerdy doesn't mean he's "cool." He's also the best actor to play the spiderman aspect definitively in my mind. He nails the quippy fun and nieghborhood friendly vibes.
I really like the Spiderverse movies but I feel like it's not fair to compare Miles to Peter since their two different characters.
Tobey Maguire was great at peter but whenever he was spiderman he just felt off to me.
Tom Holland's movies were fine but like other's have said they just didn't have that Spiderman feel. But I'm optomistic about his upcomign movies since it seems like their leaning a more traditional spiderman route.

Also, I agree Tom’s movies had very different vibes, I haven’t seen (much of) the Andrew movies but I think he was the best one, Tom was definitely more of a sad, helpless, wholesome little kid, and then Andrew + Toby (but especially Andrew) were both more just straight up awkward but likeable. I think they picked Tom because he’s very popular, but I don’t see his appeal as Spider-Man.

I do love Spider-Man in general lol. Plus I’ve got a Spider-Man hoodie, 2 T-shirts, 1 Halloween costume, 3 action figure things, a poster, and a backpack thingy

tbh i dont think any of the live action spidermans fully capture the character. I like the first two toby movies a lot but Toby is too obviously an adult. the garfield movies are bad (especially the second one lol). the MCU can eat shit and holland's spiderman relies way too much on the other characters around him.
the cartoon versions tend to be better. i love the spiderverse movies, but the 60s cartoon is a cheese classic lol ( I actually watched reruns of it a lot growing up so it makes me happy that it's become such a meme).

True, my favorite iteration of Spiderman is the Spectacular Spiderman show but of the live actions I think Andrew is the best.

I really like Tom Holland's portrayal, but the Spider-Verse movies are a very close second.
