think the Clans would move to a new territory?
I think it's possible, considering a lot of people have noted the similarities between this and The New Prophecy. I'm not sure where they would go though, and it would be rather sad considering everything they've built up at the lake. Maybe somewhere beyond the city seen in Tigerheart’s Shadow? The gorge is still unoccupied, but that would be a long way to go. Forest territories and mountains are pretty much out of the question. Any other thoughts. I did see them move into the cliff territories in a fan fiction, and someone else dropped them into a random place that apparently had a tree that acted like Moonstone/Moonpool (I think the fan fiction was called elemental, but I read it years ago so I don't remember the details or even if it's still around). So I'm wondering if a new place will be created just for that, and maybe Ivypool’s Heart will foreshadow it. What are your thoughts?

I've been seeing theories about that! I kind of hope it's true because I find the lake territories to be pretty bland... I'd love to see a new setting as a refresh. I like the idea of them moving closer to the Guardian Cats because I think they're cool and interesting.

You say the gorge territories are pretty far to go, but didn't Hawkwing & co complete that journey from the lake, to the old forest, to the gorge, and all over again, in like, less than a month, during Darkest Night?

I’m wondering the same thing. On one hand, I never liked the lake territories very much, so a possible change of scenery would be nice. But on the other hand, I feel like dedicating a third series to traveling and settling down in a new territory wouldn’t go very well. The New Prophecy was able to get away with it because there weren’t any travel books at the time, so the whole concept was completely new. DOTC was character driven with the travel to a minimum. I’m not so sure a third arc could pull it off without it being another rehash of plots we’ve seen a ton of times now. They’re going to argue about leaving, until they have no choice. Somebody stays behind/dies. The journey is long and hard, and we lose some cats on the way. We encounter some non-Clan cats and have to go through a whole plotline with them. Then we have to settle the new territory. Fights break out, more characters die, the chosen young cat(s) end up solving it, and all is well… I don’t think people would be into that, unless they’re able to pull this off in a unique way that somehow makes it stand apart from the other traveling books.
The new characters and territory would have to be really good to get away with this a third time.

As much as I don't mind travelling books, I doubt they'd move to another territory. The lake territory just needs to be used better. Somehow.

I don’t know about another territory-moving arc. As said before it worked with The New Prophecy because there hadn’t been any traveling books yet.
I was not born when TNP started releasing but I was almost 2 years old by the time it finished. That makes me feel old thinking about now.
