How are we all feeling about the new arc coming out next year? The new arc is called "Changing Skies" (oooh). No further info has been revealed, but I think the title gives us a little bit. So, how are you all feeling about the new arc? Are you excited or don't really care, or are feeling something else? I'd like to hear your thoughts (and predictions)!

Dreading it. I honestly don't know what else they can do anymore. Each arc seems to get worse in terms of quality, I'm not loving that it comes out 2 months after Star, and the fact that it's "welcoming a friend from the first arc" means they really can't let go of older characters because that's what they need to continue making these books because none of the present characters are strong enough to hold an arc on their own. I'm hoping we'll get some changes, such as a non-ShadowClan POV, maybe a non-medicine cat POV, but I don't have much hope for the new arc. The series really needs to end at this point.

my only thoughts are that if we get a lame SkyClan leader I'm reaching into the books to kill him 9 times myself + also if Leafstar really does die they better not give her a lame death like Mistystar

I hope it isn't centered around SkyClan. WindClan is in need of some focus. I'd also like to know who is supposed to be a central character of the arc. (As I've said quite a bit. lol)
Lots of cats need to be in the elder's den or dead so that the younger ones have time to shine. I barely know them.

Basically echoing the thoughts of others I really don't want an "old friend from the 1st arc" to appear that's just lame and feels like they're relying on the fan-favorite characters. Also really Skyclan focused? I really thought with the way Windclan and Harestar was focused on in Wind they preparing for a Windclan focused arc. Skyclan has already gotten enough focus just throw my poor clan a bone. Well WindClan does live in a barren area, with the sky above them. It is also mentioned in a book (don’t remember which) that WindClan is the closest to StarClan. The Moonstone/Moonpool is closest to WindClan’s territory in both the forest and lake territories. Also the fact that Barley was very friendly with WindClan and his barn was not far from WindClan land. |

It wasn’t until the third book was when it started taking off. |

I'm in the mind that Squirrelflight becoming leader means that she'll stick around for another 2-3 arcs, so here's me hoping that they kill her off before the midway point for Arc 9.

ASC hasn't been a favorite so far, and the fact that Arc 9 is a continuation (not even a time skip?) means I probably won't enjoy it as much either

RiverClan's food supply being poisoned AGAIN.
Authority struggle in ShadowClan AGAIN.
Tawnypelt getting a rehashed plot of her novella AGAIN.
Leader (Leafstar), getting weak plot AGAIN.
SkyClan's home being threatened for the millionth time AGAIN.
Mysterious voices in a main character's head AGAIN.
