I was just curious because Iโm a former vet tech. 6-7 weeks and above is viable. Anything younger needs extensive veterinary care for the kittens to survive. Many of them donโt even with the help.  Only thing to explain is why no one noticed a queen expecting a large litter for this long. XD |

;o; she sounds so sweet i love her And I also wanted to make sure you were okay with Sorrel and Jumping since they obviously couldnโt have biological kits together, but this works out really well!!! Did you have it in mind that she was a surrogate or was it a situation where when she died, Sorrel and Jumping took over raising Eagle? Assuming his biological dad was out of the picture if not going surrogate route? i like to think she was their surrogate, she really loved the both of them and wanted to give them the opportunity of parenthood she planned to be around until the kits were weaned then return to her warrior duties, buuut since there was only one, her and eagle were really attached to each other and her death was a really hard transition for him. i can see him, sorrel, and jumping having a sort of rough patch after she died. |

that makes a lot of sense, and man, poor gold ;o;
Sorrel probably hid away into himself after Gold died, becoming snappier and harsher than usual if anybody tried interacting with him. He probably even snapped at Jumping, and not in the ~lover's quarrel~ sort of way, but in an actual hateful way
Jumping probably took over raising Eagle solo for a few moons there, until he and Sorrel were finally able to work things out and smooth their relationship back to normal
