Axel sits quietly and listens intently as Nightmare tells him about why she left, and about her mother. His attention is solely on he right now, as it usually is when she's speaking. He smiles softly as she tells him her real name. It was as if every new piece of information he learned about her, the more in love he fell. But then as soon as he heard the tremor in her voice that indicated crying, he wrapped his arms around her and held her against his chest. "Well, if you ask me, I think you're doing a pretty good job at living out the dream. I think you're mother would be incredibly proud of the person you've become" he speaks softly. "Also, for the record, I think your real name is really nice" he adds, grinning under his helmet

Nightmare blushed, and allowed herself to melt into his arms. "After I came into the creed," she said slowly, "I wanted a fresh start. To escape from the horrors of that village, and the night my life changed. I kept part of my name because its what my mother would've wanted, and I still needed to feel some sort of connection to myself. But for some reason the name Nightmare stood out to me. Besides the fact I do have Nightmare's frequently, it represents looking into your deepest fears and coming back stronger. Which is what I strive to do every day." She turned to face him, putting her hands on the sides of his face as she gently stroked it with her thumbs. "But I know now I don't have to face them alone."

He nods as she speaks, and grins softly as she gently stroked the sides of his face. "That's right. You'll never have to face anything alone ever again. I promise" he places one of his hands over hers and gives it a reassuring squeeze. Then an idea popped into his head. "Maybe when you're feeling a bit better, we can go walk around and I can show you the wall where I fell and got my scar." He suggested

“I think I’d like that,” she said with a small smile, “as long as Kai isn’t part of the tour.” The last part of her words were said in a more joking tone as she tried to lighten the mood. “So as it seems here’s the plan for tomorrow. We go for a walk to the place you got your scar, and then we head for the market, ‘kay?” She leaned further into him, allowing herself to not worry about anything. As long as she was with Axel everything would be okay.

Gepetto glanced around at the rebels that surrounded him. They were all bustling around and doing their tasks, blissfully unaware of the assault that would happen in a matter of hours. He stood up from the barrel he had been sitting on and went over to the woods next to the camp. Taking out his DC (direct com) to his master, he looked around nervously before calling. “Everything is prepared, master. The army is placed and ready to go at your command.” Grait’s cold voice drifted out from the com, and Gepetto could tell he was smirking. “Perfect. I will let you know when to launch the assault. You have done well, child.”

Axel gave a small chuckle as she mentioned Kai. "I can promise that he will definitely not be a part of the tour. If he even tries to get near you I swear I'm gonna chop his leg off" he murmured, but laughed a little as he said it. He meant it though. He would totally chop off Kai's left if he dared make a move on Nightmare. He nods as she says the plan for tomorrow. "Yeah, that sounds perfect" he grinned as they cuddled there together. Ollie nuzzled his way up to them, laying his head on Nightmare's lap as he wagged his tail.
(What if when they're in the market tomorrow, they come across some jawas and they have the egg for the creature that you wanted Nightmare to have)

“What, with your little blade? I would pay good credits to see that.” She laughed easily, petting Ollie. It was difficult to feel anything but happy and comfortable around Axel. He had this way of melting her, causing every emotion of tension to fade away into nothingness. She snuggled closer to him, every bad feeling evaporating into nothing. “I love you so, incredibly much. I just want to spend every living moment with you.”

"Hey, I take offense to that! I've captured so many bounties with just my dagger! I could totally chop off his leg, just like that!" He makes a swiping motion through the air with his hand, mimicking his dagger and laughing as he did so. He felt a sort of lightness and a sense of being care-free when he was with Nightmare. As she said she loved him, he could feel his stomach flip and he grinned like an idiot. "I love you too" he spoke back happily, his heart racing

“Why is it every time I say something vulnerable and tender, I can tell that you’re smiling like a huge idiot underneath that helmet?” Her words were teasing as she gazed at him, eyes brimming with love and affection. She had never believed in true love but this… is what love must be. “Maybe that’s your love language, grinning and making me laugh.”

This makes axel grin again as she speaks. Everything felt so perfect in this moment. It was like everything crappy that they had faced before now was in the past, and gone. He sighed happily and yawned. "I think we should probably head to bed soon. What do you think?" He asks quietly

Axel perks up as she mentioned food. He had completely forgot about food, and the sudden thought of it made his stomach rumble. "Yeah, I could go ask and see if they have anything to eat. I'll be right back, get some rest" he gets up and leaves the room. He goes down the hall to see if he can find a vending machine or something. He ends up finding one with a variation of snacks. He pulls out some of his credits and buys quite a few different snacks, including mostly chips. He did find a few dried fruits that he grabbed for Nightmare. He came back to the room and dropped the snacks on the bed

"'Kay." Nightmare stretched out on the bed, Ollie curling up next to her. It felt nice to just have a place to relax for a bit, and she felt excited to go to the market tomorrow. "Maybe we'll find something cool there," she murmured to Ollie with a grin. After a few minutes Axel came back and she eagerly sifted through the food he had gotten until she found a bag of dried fruit. "Awww, thanks!" She felt flattered that he'd remembered how she liked fruit.

Nightmare raised an eyebrow at him as she munched on the fruit. “You’re really not scared of taking off your helmet here? Hell, that’s like lustily making out in the back of a church during a sermon!” She giggled at her own reference, chortling to herself. Not that her parents had ever made her go to church, but she had friends who were required need to go to something of a church every Sunday and came back with stories. “I mean, you do you but I’m guessing your mother would kill you if she ever found out.”

Axel couldn't help but laugh at the reference she made when he took his helmet off. "Oh, come on! It isn't anything like that! I'm simply taking it off to snack easier! And its not like I'd do this in front of anyone else" he defends himself, eating a few more of the chips he had grabbed. At the mention of his mother finding out he sat up. "Oh she can't ever know that I've let you see my face. She would be beyond angry. At both of us. At me for doing it, and at you for letting me" he said, suddenly feeling paranoid as if his mother would walk in at any second

“Then… we’ll just have to be very secretive.” Her tone definitely held a flirtatious tone, although she did nothing to imply it. She munched more on her fruit, saying nothing as though deep in thought. “I’m still worried about Grait and Gepetto. They have contacts and spies everywhere. We’re not exactly hard to track, and eventually we’ll have to pick up a bounty to make some credits.” She sighed heavily and moved over so she was next to him. “Your mother is the last thing on my mind. No offense, that is.” Her body relaxed as she leaned on him, all the anxiety melting away. I know that if I’m with him we’ll find a way to keep ourselves safe, but I can’t stand the thought of him or Ollie in that psycho’s cold hands again. “But,” she said in a more optimistic tone, “at least we’re together now. I know that we’ll find a way somehow.” Carefully she reached up and took off her helmet, locking eyes with him as she gave a small smile.
Nightmare gazed into his face, giggling slightly at an oil smear on his cheek. “Here, there’s something on your face.” She reached up and wiped it off before craning her neck and landing a kiss on his face. “You know, besides Ollie you have the most kissable face I’ve ever seen.” Then she snuggled into his side, laying down and pulling his arm on her so he was using her head as a sort of armrest, hand laying on her hair. Her eyes closed in contentment, a small sigh of happiness escaping her lips.

He murmured softly. He grinned affectionately as she took off her helmet. Oh my god. She's so gorgeous. How did I get so lucky? He thought to himself. "Well well well, now look who's breaking the rules." He laughs gently. He laughs again as she talks. "Well thank you" He leans down and kisses her forehead. He leans his head against hers, a lovesick smile on his face. "Let's get some sleep now so we can head to the market tomorrow, yeah?"

Nightmare smiles at him, blushing a bit at the expression on his face. “Okay.” She slowly pulls away and snuggles up under the covers as Ollie joins her, cuddling her. Nightmare looks quite happy to be there, snuggled up close to Axel and Ollie.

(Its all good lol Ravenshadow) Axel sighs happily as him, Nightmare and Ollie snuggled under the blankets tomorrow. He felt himself drift off to sleep. The next morning he woke up before Nightmare, and so he got up and headed to the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and got dressed, leaving his helmet off for now until they were ti leave for the market. He sat down beside the bed, watching as Nightmare slept peacefully. He couldn't help but smile warmly at the sight of her. He loved her so much it was crazy. He gently nudges her awake. "Hey, it's time to get up" he murmured quietly |
