You know how Arc 9 will most likely take place after ASC?
If we can eyeball an Arc 9 reveal before Ivypool’s Heart drops, do you think it’s possible that they end up spoiling information about Star? It’s kind of hard for them to show the POV’s/plot/artwork without shedding light on how Star and IH goes, is it not?

Yep. The reveal of arc 9 will probably spoil a few things such as probably the next true leader of RiverClan but a lot of things will probably be left as a surprise.

It’s kind of hard for them to show the POV’s/plot/artwork without shedding light on how Star and IH goes, is it not? Hmm... that could be a possibility. Let's take a look at the past three arcs, as they have all been released by the new team, and I have been there for all of it. AVoS's first book, Apprentice's Quest, was teased/revealed in early 2015, about a year before it released (yes, reveals used to be VERY early). It was a relatively low stakes reveal as it happened after we already knew of the BrambleSquirrel kits, and the arc before it was a prequel. TBC's first book, Lost Stars, was teased/revealed in June 2018. The blurb casually dropped that all five Clans were still at the lake, essentially spoiling the end of Raging Storm. Other than that, not much from Raging Storm as none of the protags were name dropped. We did get leaks of Shadowpaw and Rootpaw being protags, but that was after Raging Storm released, and even then, Raging Storm was released 2 months early in Norway. They knew we knew. ASC's first book, River, was teased/revealed in May 2021. We learned of Frostpaw, Flamepaw, and Sunbeam protags. We did get a heavy spoiler, which was the code being changed. It seems that we may get one or two major plot points spoiled, but still not nearly as much as books in-arc. I think it's because the first book blurbs are supposed to set the stage for the new story, not piggy-back off of a previous book. |

Yep. The reveal of arc 9 will probably spoil a few things such as probably the next true leader of RiverClan but a lot of things will probably be left as a surprise. Although that may happen, they may not go that far if RC's new leader doesn't make a big conflict imo. And even if they do, they may say "RC's new leader". In Lost Stars, they didn't name drop Bramblestar, or any of the protags, for that matter. And the protags in ASC were the only named living characters (Firestar's was just for context) in River's blurb. |

At latest, we'll get the first book of the next arc revealed with the summer catalog update, and it's very likely we'll get to know about it before that. Considering how they don't really bother concealing spoilers in the blurbs, it will almost certainly spoil Star and maybe Ivypool's Heart as well.
