I'm going to be pretty disappointed. I'm not that far into Thunder and Shadow, but so far from what I've read, Tigerheart is a huge jerk.
The moment Dovewing tried to warn him about the rogues, he gave her the cold shoulder and argued about her. She even flashed back at him and called him arrogant. You go tell him, Dovewing. He was definitely being a jerk.
I'm kind of disappointed at how he's become. I really liked Tigerheart, but now he's just a jerk to her.
I'm also hearing rumors that Tigerheart seems more obsessed with Dovewing rather than infatuated/love, and honestly that scares me that he's going to turn into Ashfur 2.0 from the bitter behavior we've already seen from him.
Also, why the hell does Dovewing have no apprentices? Seriously, she's shown to have patience when she helped train Minty from Bramblestar's Storm! I can see her being the motherly type. Twigpaw should have had her as her mentor, not freaking Ivypool. Ivypool's already had an apprentice. I bet you she's going to be deputy and have even more spotlight. -sigh-
While I'll admit that I believe Ivypool is the only cat we can depend on for becoming deputy, I am sick of her being in the spotlight right now.

I kinda of don't want Dovewing to have an apprentice. Yes, it is some personal bias because I don't like her, but hearing about her, she hasn't completely matured. Plus with Tigerheart in ThunderClan, I can see her being distracted. If any cat was to get an apprentice, it should be Birchfall, not Dovewing.
I'll have to read about him to make my own judgement. I hope my library will get TAS earlier than it got TAQ.

Dovewing hasn't completely matured but she's grown up a lot. you see a lot of her maturity in Dovewing's Silence in DS she's helped the dark forest trainees to help them not feel left out she trained minty in bramblestar's storm she even tried to let go of tigerheart a few times and you can tell she's trying to move on I think she's ready for an apprentice and she's not hot-headed like most of the warriors are. I can see her being the motherly type of mentor to her apprentice. She even admitted she had fun training with Minty in Bramblestar's Storm if I recall, I haven't read that book in a while I think Dovewing's matured a lot ever since she tried to get away from tigerheart. he was a huge distraction in her life that needed to go |

You do have some points, but I think Birchfall should get one before or with her. But along with the maturity thing, she does seem to be a pushover with the Clan pressuring her into becoming mates with Bumblestripe.

Someone else should have had Twigpaw as their apprentice. Just because someone hasn't had an apprentice, doesn't mean they're ready for one. Imo, considering the circumstances, it was best that Twig went to an experienced warrior like Ivypool. Its honestly not different than Dawnpelt getting Violetpaw, she just finished training Beenose not to long back. And I feel like Ivypool will do a better job than Dovewing, especially since she's already distracted by Tigerheart being in the same clan as her atm. |
