It is how they control the group that matters. Alphas maintain order by stopping aggression within a colony. Betas: These are the colony peacekeepers. Betas are dominant over all of the members of their colony except the alpha. Typically, there are between one to four betas per colony, and their primary role is to maintain harmony. Gammas: Gammas are your average Joes. They do not assert any dominant tendencies. Instead, they get along with the gang and stay focused on their particular roles. Zetas: A zeta rat occupies the lowest tier of the social structure. In healthy colonies, they pal around with the gammas and keep their distance from the alpha and betas. If a colony is unhealthy, zetas are at best the social outcasts and at worst a target of other members. Your names should very random- I don't care, as long as they are not disrespectful, such as: Apple, Bee, Cheese, Derik, Emily, Frog, Granite. But please try to make these names relating to rats. There are two colonies- so i'm going to revise that and make it where one rat gets the disease in a colony, and then spreads it through his colony- and then one of the rats in the other colony catch the disease from a rat from their colony- and then the battle starts because both sides are blaming each other for the disease?

Count me in, I wanna be an evil beta that wants to steal the role as alpha, also I'm thinking one colony could be called Parmesan and the other is Chedder, due to this none of the rats are called Chedder or Parmesan. Could I also suggest some more roles?

Awww so cute! When I was younger I used to have a rat stuffed animal called Fred, I actually think I might still have him... but he is pink! (I mean he is now a grayish pink but still...)

Medic: Heals poisoning and scars, also can heal a few sickness, there are normally around 4 per colony.
Food tester: The most deadly of roles, often used as a punishment, tasts food to see if its heathly or not
Gatherer: Gathers food and plants and whatnot for the colony, the role that goes outside the most

- Cheddar - A light brown colored kangaroo rat with strong hind legs making her able to jump high distances, she is an Alpha rat and goes by She/They, they are known for being friendly but harsh when she needs to.

Mother rats - as the name suggests, rats who are in the birthing den. had or having baby rats
Small rats - a kit or a pup rat, baby rats are usually called kits or pups
Leader rat - i read firestars destiny and it said that fire star had to kill the rat leader to break the other rats loose of control

|| She/They || She was born to [ Open ] and [ Open ], her littermates were [ Open to 3 littermates ] as a baby rat, she got lost in a flood, luckily they found their family again, as a training rat she made sure to pay attention, work hard and do the best she could, she worked her way up to alpha.||
|| A kangaroo rat can jump really high so I suggest all rats named toad or frog or named after an animal that jumps high be a kangaroo rat! ||
Camp ideas
They live inside a large wall that has cracks that are big enough for 10 rats to fit in the cracks and a enough room weight and height size for rats, the clearing is a dome able to fit the whole rat pack, if your asking why the wall is so thick is that its a old building, not being used- anyway the dens are connected by hallways, the leaders den and prisoners den are the only dens separates from the others, the leaders den is a top hole with small vines trickling down, the nursery is protected by sharp rock - and I'll finish this later.

Zipper | White female with pale grey spotting and Red eyes. Her tail is kinked and crooked - Zeta
Sage | pale brown male with darker flecks and black eyes - Gamma
Clover | Black male with white legs and belly, black eyes - Gamma
Clover and Sage are brothers. All of my characters are open to family and whatnot

Above them is a wide open moor with a city nearby and a pine forest on the other side. Due to the city they have to be cauious of the cats that roam there and eat them
