How do you want Splashtail to be defeated by the end of A Starless Clan?
Personally I have a whole long final battle thought out in my head.
In the midst of a huge battle, don’t ask me the specifics, Splashtail is separated from the fray. He isn’t this type of fighter- he attacked Reedwhisker and Frostpaw from behind and only indirectly killed Curlfeather. He isn’t as deadly a fighter as he may seem.
Nightheart follows him. He begins to taunt Splashtail and baits him. Splashtail leaps to attack him but Nightheart begins to run. Nightheart’s a brilliant and fast hunter, much faster than the usually swimming RiverClan cat. He lures Splashtail away, with Splashtail not noticing exactly where they’re going.
They’re at their destination when Nightheart slows. Splashtail thinks he’s tired out, he’s almost won- but is ambushed and pinned down by Sunbeam, attacked from behind just like Splashtail did Reedwhisker and Frostpaw. Sunbeam hid in the darkness like a ShadowClan cat, but attacked like a ThunderClan cat.
She bites down hard on his leg until bone crunched. Nightheart leaps beside his mates and bites another leg. Splashtail tries crawling away, and to his surprise, the couple lets him.
Then he is stopped in his tracks by another cat: Frostpaw, now Froststar. It’s now that Splashtail takes in his surroundings- he’s by the gorge, the place he murdered Reedwhisker.
He realizes what’s about to happen. He can’t run and has to resort to the last tactic he knows. He apologizes to Froststar- he never wanted her to be hurt. He loved her, but freeing RiverClan from StarClan’s influence was most important. But they can fix RiverClan together- he can focus on her now! He always wanted to protect her from Curlfeather and StarClan, and now they can finally be safe. He’d let her be his medicine cat beside him. They could even be mates. The medicine cat code forbidding relationships was only a result of StarClan’s meddling and hypocrisy- it won’t stop them!
Froststar merely stares down at him. There’s so much she wants to tell him. Part of her agrees with him. She does want change to the Clans. She does want change to StarClan. But not through bloodshed and betrayal. She wants to tell him how she’ll fix RiverClan without him, how she’ll lead with a kind and compassionate paw. She wants to ask him whether it was all worth it. Reedwhisker, Harelight, even Curlfeather.
But she doesn’t say anything. She rests her paw on his head, and his eyes seem to sparkle like StarClan with hope. But she merely pushes him away, closer and closer to the gorge. He screams, begs, pleads. It’s pathetic. Nightheart and Sunbeam stand beside Froststar as she pushes him towards his death, as slowly and painfully as it can be. She lets his legs dangle, lets him whimper and cry out until it’s too much. She stares coldly down at him, but if you look closely at her eyes, you could perhaps see sympathy, sadness, regret for what this promising warrior could have been.
But there’s no regret for what she’s about to do. He’ll die like Reedwhisker. She has her friends beside her and will have her Clan to lead. No one else will be hurt by him.
And one final push and he’s gone.

Huh well that was quite an essay.
So how do you all think Splashtail’s defeat will go, or if he even gets one?
