He looked down as he saw the little kit he had been thinking of looking at him. He gave Otterkit a quick lick in between their fuzzy ears. "Don't worry, Otterkit. In fact- you should be happy. We have two- no three new warriors!" His gaze went past the kit to Shadewing, Fluffypaw, and Vipermoon.

Vipermoon laughed at the kits who were tussling with Shadewing. She glanced around towards Gulfstar and saw with surprise he had a small kit next to him. Silently she got up, and walked over to them. “Hello,” she said quietly, “Gulfstar, who is this?” Her intelligent copper eyes were looking over the kit with great interest.

Gulfstar || Otterkit and Splashfrost and Vipermoon ||
He dipped his head quickly at Vipermoon. Her eyes blazed with curiosity, and he quickly told her. "This is Otterkit. She's my kit." He looked down at the kit again. Blinking, he made sure not to cry in front of the new warrior. Nightsong would have been a wonderful mother, and it made him angry that she had died because of a flood. He was brought back to the time when he found her body next to a twoleg den.

Vipermoon’s eyes softened as she saw Gulfstar blink back tears as he looked at the kit. She came over and gently pressed her side to his. “It’s okay. I may not know what this is about but at least the kit isn’t hurt, and she’s with you. That’s all that really matters.” Then she quietly walked back over to Shadewing and the kits and left Gulfstar with his own kit.

Gulfstar relaxed, and he stared after Vipermoon before turning back to Otterkit and Splashfrost. He looked at Splashfrost and nodded to them before nosing Otterkit back into the nursery. **hehe**

'Nightsong?' She thought. She had never heard of Nightsong. "Hey! I'm old enough to be in the clearing!" She protested, batting her fluffy paws at his nose. "I wanna see what's going on!" She whined, looking at Lavender. "Lavender?" She mewed, as if asking for assistance. (BTW I'm just gonna have her believe that Lavender is her mother. and things marked in ' ' are otter's thoughts ^^)
