Gulfstar || Clan Meeting ||
His paw dashed out, grabbing the fish and flicking it neatly onto the sand before he gave a killing bite to it. Looking up, he saw that it was almost time for the ceremony. Grabbing his prey, he padded back to camp, and threw the prey into the fresh kill pile. There. He bounded up the cliff to the cliff ledge. "Let all cats old enough to swim the rapids gather around the Ledge!" He yowled, though a good percent of the clan was already gathered. His eyes found Rainpaw, Fluffypaw, Shadepaw, and Viperpaw. Flicking his tail, he waited as the last few patrols came in.

Anemonepaw padded up to the center of camp, wondering why Gulfstar had called a Clan meeting. She sat down, curling her tail around her paws and gazing up at Gulfstar.
(Anemone is an apprentice now, right?)

He nodded in approval as the four young cats padded up to the front of the semi-circle of warriors. He stepped up to Viperpaw and Shadepaw, and he looked them over. "I, Gulfstar, leader of GulfClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn." (this is for Shadepaw) He looked behind Shadepaw, where their mentor stood, looking at their apprentice proudly. "Shadepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Viperpaw nodded at Gulfstar. She could feel Turtletail and Shadepaw- Shadewing she reminded herself, watching with proud gazes as she received her name. “Yes, I do. I promise.” Her heart fluttered in anticipation as he said something to her and the rest of the clan. I wonder what my suffix will be… hopefully he’ll take my request of moon.
(Im just assuming that she wanted her suffix to be moon in honor of her mother)

A slight purr rumbled from his throat. He could remember the days when the pair had just came, when they acted like kits. "Then, by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. He gave them a quick lick on their head, and as they returned the gesture, he turned to Rainpaw and Fluffypaw.

They had made it, they had really done it! She came over to him and gently tugged him over to the shadows. When he was successfully there, she looked him in the eyes and pressed her nose to his. Relishing his scent, she purred with satisfaction at his touch. |
