maybe i am dumb but i am having a hard time picturing how "douve" is pronounced differently than "duv"? Probably as in more drawn out. As in, "douve" pronounced like "dough" or something like that. Instead of the shorter sounding "duv". Or like one would say the other "dove". So not the bird but rather the past action of diving in somewhere. Just a guess though. I think douve is pronounced like dooo-vay. I may be wrong…?

The first time I read the books I misread Cinderpelt as Cinderpellet. Like hamster pellets. I caught on by the end though.

Okay …….. what the heck. I just found out that Splashtail is a plain, dime-a-dozen, brown tabby tom. This whole time I’ve been picturing him as a ginger?? The cover of Wind did me in.
