This is just a place for me and my friend Sparrowfall to rp! :]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Screen Name: Name: Rank: Gender: Looks: Personality: History:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~--Characters--~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[Screen Name] Fernclaw [Name] Blizzardpaw[Rank] Apprentice [Gender] Male [Looks] Blizzardpaw is a short and scrawny white tom. He has light gray and dark grey overlapping stripes, and grey and black flecks dotted across his pelt. His thick, fluffy fur is usually scraggly and barely manageable, so often it just sticks out in awkward directions. His tailtip is extremely fluffy, like a giant ball of cotton. He has bright sky-blue eyes. [Personality] Blizzardpaw is small, so he's used to being teased. His clan of origin is unknown, which is another reason why the other cats pick on him. Despite this, he does his best to prove himself to his clanmates. If he can help it, he usually prefers to stay in the background, away from other cats. [History] His adopted mother gave him his name when she found him, abandoned in a snow bank while on patrol during a snowstorm. He hasn't made many friends within the clan, because he is afraid of other cats so he prefers to be alone. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[Screen Name] Sparrowfall
[Name] Maplefoot [Rank] Elder [Gender] Female [Looks] A scraggly spotted she-cat with tattered ears and green eyes. She walks with a slight limp due to an old battle injury and is beginning to lose sight in her left eye.
[Personality] Quiet and prone to being cranky, as most elderly cats are. She seems to resent her status as an elder and often acts against advice from the clan medicine cat. Despite her stand-offish personality, Maplefoot genuinely cares for her clanmates and is always happy to share stories with the younger cats.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Maplefoot drug herself out of the elders' den with a long yawn and a stretch. Grunting, she slowly worked out the stiffness in her bones and began to regret not accepting the medicine cat's offer the sunfall before. "It will be a cold night," the medicine cat had predicted. "You'll want the poultice to ease your pain come morning!" Naturally, Maplefoot had refused. And, naturally, she expected her aches and pains to be the first question on the naggy medicine cat's tongue the second she saw her. So, with some effort, the elder did her best to move as smoothly as she could across camp.
Blizzardpaw padded towards camp after a lone hunt. He managed to catch two mice, but lost a bird due to his poor jumping skills. He cursed StarClan for his stubbly little legs. Ducking under the bramble, he padded into camp and deposited his fresh-kill on the pile. Actually, I have elder duty right now. Maybe I should bring a mouse to Maplefoot. He sighed inwardly and snatched up a mouse. He scanned the camp with his eyes, and as soon as he spotted Maplefoot he padded up to her. "Greetings, Maplefoot. I brought you a mouse." He said, depositing the mouse at her feet.
Although Maplefoot could not see Blizzardpaw quite so clearly thanks to her failing eyesight, his voice was one that she was well familiar with. Her tail lifted in greeting.
"Blizzardpaw," she meowed, a purr rattling in her chest. Perhaps it was because she pitied him, or perhaps it was simply because he had been assigned to her, but of all the apprentices, he was her favorite. Maplefoot was certain that he would make a fine warrior some day, never mind how the other cats might tease him. Many of them wouldn't see potential if it bit them on the nose.
Maplefoot dipped her head to sniff at the prey he had brought her. "Has your mentor had you out catching prey all morning? This mouse is still wet with dew."
Blizzardpaw purred, glad that out of all the elders he could have been assigned to, he was to help out Maplefoot. She was one of the few clan cats who weren't mean to him all the time. "I woke up early and went out on a hunt by myself!" he responded, standing up straighter with pride. "But, now that you mention it, I haven't seen Blackwhisker all morning. Or last night! Where did he go?" Blizzardpaw made a thumping sound on the ground as he flopped into a sitting position.
Maplefoot's ears twitched forward and though her eyes looked down at the apprentice with an impassive squint, he had caught her interest. It wasn't like Blackwhisker to vanish and it certainly wasn't responsible of him to leave Blizzardpaw by himself. The warriors these days simply did not have the same sense of responsibility of her generation. It was shameful, really.
"Well, then, what are you doing just sitting around here for?" she gruffed. "Don't you suppose you should be doing something about that?"
Blizzardpaw's ears pricked up and his heart began to race. He was a jumpy cat, always expecting some cat to yowl at him for some reason or another. Maplefoot's light scolding had made him considerably uncomfortable. "I, er... I was supposed to be on elder duty, and.." he trailed off into a quiet mumbling rant.
That almost makes her laugh, her purr suddenly punctuated by a low trill. "And on elder duty you'll be," she promises. "It's your mentor's fault that I'm going to have to tag along with you in order to find him, the lazy fluff-brain."
