Clan Systems ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A clan system is the way things run in the clan, how old apprentices have to be or what they have to do be a warrior etc -
Leaders must have trained 2 apprentices, be over 18 moons and climbed to the highest tree in the territory to be confirmed leader, Training 2 apprentices shows how dedicated they are for the clans well being by making warriors, being over 18 moons/months considers them an adult cat, meaning they are mature i suppose, and climbing the tallest tree shows how close they are with the stars, (Cats of starclan) - Deputies have to train 1 apprentice, be over 18 moons and swim across the stream to be confirmed deputy Training 1 apprentice shows how trustworthy they are to the clan shaping future warriors, being over 18 moons/months considers them an adult cat, meaning they are mature i suppose, swimming across the stream shows how brave they are to risk their one life for the clan. - Medicine cats and the Stargazer have the power of starclan, they can overpower the deputies and leaders decision sometimes, but they must have a good reason, like exiling someone or something like that. - Medicine cat apprentices must have at least 2 moons of hunting training and 2 moons of battle training, and 8 moons of medicine cat training The 2 moons of hunting training and 2 moons of battle/fighting training helps them be prepared when they are alone and need to hunt or in battle and need to fight, this gives them 12 moons of training just like the warrior apprentices - For medicine cats apprentices to become medicine cats they must go to highstones, have 8 moons of medicine training and 4 moons of warrior training and have slept under the stars to prove their dedication, however if it is snowing or storming, it will be postponed - Meditators can carry a mate and have kits, If the meditator is capable of becoming a queen, they may have kits as long as their apprentice can takeover, while they are a queen or nursing, as stress can cause early kitting, and the apprentice must be supervised. - Meditators Apprentices must Travel to highstones, have 6 moons of meditation training and 6 moons of warrior training and sit vigil under the stars to show they are worthy to solve disagreements in the clan, however if it is snowing or storming, it will be postponed. - Sky watchers can carry a mate and kits, if the skywatcher is capable of becoming a queen, they may have to be outside alot to watch the sky to check for storms, while they are in the medicine den, their apprentice must take over as they must rest, apprentice must be supervised - Sky watcher apprentices have to travel to highstones, climb to the tallest hill in the territory (High Hill), and have 6 moons of Sky watcher training and 6 moons of warrior training to prove they can watch the sky's for storms and more, however if it is snowing or storming, it will be postponed. - The Star gazer cat can go to highstones without asking for the leader, along with the medicine cat, due to their relation with Star clan, the apprentices of the medicine cat or the star gazer must have their mentor or an adult cat to come along with them - Stargazer Apprentices must travel to highstones, gaze the stars by staying vigil for a night and have 8 moons of star gazer training and 4 moons of warrior training which means 2 moons of hunting training and 2 moons of battle training to prove they are worthy of gazing the silver pelt of the starclan cats - Warriors must go to a gathering at least every two moons unless told otherwise by leader, if not they may be accused of seeing another clan cat - Warrior apprentices must have 6 moons of hunting training and 6 moons of fighting training, travel to highstones and sit a silent vigil for the night to prove their loyalty to Astrid clan

Ceremonies
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leaders 9 Lives Ceremony
The new leader goes to the Moonstone (or Moonpool) with the Clan's medicine cat. After touching the stone (or drinking from the pool), the new leader cannot move for a short period of time, because their old life is being ripped away so they can receive nine new ones. Upon awakening, The cats of StarClan come down from Silverpelt. Nine cats, normally ones who were significant during the new leader's life or the Clan's history, although this is not always the case, give them their nine lives.
Example
HareFoot: -Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head- With this life, I give you Bravery. Use it well to Defend the clan.
Rain Star: I hail you by your new name, Shrewstar. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of Berry Clan. Defend it well, care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity
Form
Life Giver: -Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head- With this life, I give you [Gift name]. Use it well to Defend the clan.
Previous Leader: I hail you by your new name, [New leader name]. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of [Clan they lead]. Defend it well, care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The leader calls a Clan meeting, and performs the ceremony by announcing the words below.
Deputy Ceremony
Examples
Shrew'Star: I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Berry Clan is Fern Sky.
Medicine Cat Ceremony
Once the Clan's medicine cat is satisfied with the apprentice's knowledge, they go to the Clans' sacred place (such as the Moonstone or Moonpool). This is the only ceremony that is not performed by the Leader. The following words are used, by tradition:
Examples
Juniper Wing: I, Juniper wing, medicine cat of Berry Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help, She will serve her Clan for many moons. Flower Paw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?
Flower Paw: I do.
Juniper Wing : Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. Flower Paw, from this moment you will be known as Flower Leaf. StarClan honors you, and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of Berry Clan.
The medicine cat rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and they lick the mentor's shoulder. The other medicine cats greet them by their new name.
Form
Medicine Cat: I, (name), medicine cat of (Clan), call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help (he/she) will serve (his/her) Clan for many moons. (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?
The medicine cat rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and they lick the mentor's shoulder. The other medicine cats greet them by their new name.
An aging warrior, queen, or medicine cat, may retire as an elder due to own initiative, when they feel they cannot help the Clan efficiently any more (such as Mousefur or Speckletail). A cat may also retire if they are hindered from serving their Clan through old age (such as Poppydawn), illness (Tawnyspots), or injury (Stonepelt). They report this to the Clan leader, who calls a Clan meeting and addresses the warrior.
Examples
Shrew Star : ...Is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders? Clan member: It is. Leader: Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon StarClan to give you many moons of rest.[1]
