I constantly go to this sites to look for jobs. I been applying according to the places they need workers but I haven't heard anything back from the actual companies.
Example. Both LinkedIn and Indeed state that Vons and CVS need pharmacy technicians and I applied there. I actually decided to go to Vons and CVS they are supposedly hiring but they told me they aren't currently hiring despite these websites stating otherwise.
So are these websites truthful. Can you recommend me other websites?

Uh. franchises sometimes don't take their postings down after they're filled. Check the dates and how many applicants there are: if it's a specialized job and has more than like, 100 apps, the posting is probably old or they have it auto-posting every month by default (which is weird, but happens more often than you'd think)
You're probably not going to hear back from most the jobs you apply for. It's really just bulk applying and hoping tbh

its definitely tricky, especially if you arent looking for high level jobs. if you're looking for minimum wage work, i suggest checking the company websites of businesses in your area. if theres a pizza hut by you, go to pizza huts website and look at their careers page. that'll be the most up to date on job listings, and you can guarantee your application actually goes to them

they can sometimes be, but they're also chock full of MLMs and pyramid schemes. if you're looking for retail positions, i'd recommend just searching google maps and applying on the company sites Wait, MLM’s? Is there some fanfiction aspect I never knew about?

I personally have had more luck with Indeed for lower level positions, and I've never had luck with LinkedIn for any kind of job pursuit. But seconding the advice above that looking at listings directly on websites for companies near you is best. I also always mark the setting 'jobs listed in the last three days' because that way it's still fresh for the recruiters.

Oh also, a lot of big chains (and this stinks but is true at least in my area) will sometimes have 'positions' open so the understaffed workers currently there have hope there'll be more help coming, but they don't actually intend to hire anyone to save money. I'd always recommend working for a smaller chain or a mom and pop shop if you're just looking for like a first job.

My workplace only looks at indeed applications when we need to hire obviously but if you apply on indeed we will just call you (maybe)(if we like ur app) and be like "Oops lol actually can you go to the corporate website and apply there? Once we get ur application we'll set up an interview maybe" and then they apply and it sits in our application storage thing for a while until we decide "lol hey we should check apps cuz we gotta hire"
So your best bet is to apply on the company website itself over indeed.
