I'm sick aaand I've been on a "challange" to read every Super Edition for a while now. Since I don't have much to do I can get through a book in maybe like 3 days with no problem, so let's read Moth Flight's Vision. I've heard some things about this book, and got small portions spoilered Wind Runner only getting 8 lives because Clear Sky (?) killed her Micah dies (I think Clear Sky killed him too??) She gives away her kits So the prolouge: I thought that she was seeing Bluestar's death after she sacrificed herself to the dogs, but it can't really be it? Two younger cats, a ginger tom (with amber eyes?) made me think of them, but then there was a black-and-white cat, so if confused me. Now I think it might be something that will happen later? Or well, it's the vision she had, I have no idea just yet

Finished up to chapter 5: The first thing I really noticed was how well the book describes her thought process, whenever her thought wander, I don't even notice, it just happens and they write it so naturally (if that's the right word).
Spotted Fur's and Moth Flight's friendship (if you can call it that) is really nice. I hope they'll stay close as the book goes on. It's nice that she has another parental figure that's also supportive. I've been loving Gorse Fur, I hope to see him break up with Wind Runner (like Shellheart did with Rainflower). Buuut I know that won't happen. For Wind Runner, she never failed to piss me off everytime she appeared yet, she's absolutely feral to Moth Flight. I don't have much to say about Dust Muzzle, I'm neutral on him.

Moth Flight's relationship with Wind Runner does get better by the end of the book

Finished chapter 15:
Micah and Moth Flight are so adorable already, but their relationship feels more like a childhood crush than actually being together in the end (I know they'll have kits and all that, but I can't really shake this feeling off). The Moonstone part was pretty neat, I didn't think Half Moon would straight up tell Moth Flight who would become a medicine cat. Based on StarClan's past stuff, I thought they'd make Moth Flight choose them or something. But I'm glad they didn't make it take long, and they got over it quickly.

Or well, it's the vision she had, I have no idea just yet I believe it was a vision of the time when Bluestar and Tigerclaw took the 3 apprentices to the Moonstone and got attacked by rats on the way back. The black-and-white tom must've been Barley. I remember Tigerclaw was mad at him.

Bluestar, Tigerclaw, Graypaw, and Firepaw were returning from the moonstone when they bumped into Barley and coincidentally ended up getting attacked by rats. Bluestar lost her 7th life.

Read up to chapter 20:
-it's hinted that Spotted Fur likes her?? I thought he was more like a parent to her (as stated previously) -Moth Flight x Micah is really growing onto me, they're so cute. I love how jealous Moth is of Acorn Fur - Name typos: Dappled Leaf, River Rippled -I like how Wind Runner has become more chill to Moth -What I've been loving about this book is how much spotlight the background characters get, too. I'm so used to barely seeing anything written about them, that this feels so nice

Just finished chapter 21:
what the hell??? Did Micah really just die so early on? I was rooting for them so hard, but they still had so much development to have. This lack of development kinda made me feel nothing, yeah it's shitty that he died, but it wasn't that sad to me I guess. I'm half hoping - half not that she's not expecting kits already. Moth is described as "barely older than a kit" or whatever and I just don't want her to have kits so young, but on the other hand I also don't want her to end up with Spotted Fur. I guess she could be older, but not having names that indicate their age really throws me off about dotc. Idk how I'm going to feel about the following chapters

Finished chapter 25:
Wow. The way her grief is written is amazing to me, I've rarely had so much sympathy for a character this much, it almost made me tear up. I'm not sure how I feel about the kits, I really don't. She's so young and even she said that "She could hard take care of herself! How could she be responsible for new lives?" This might be because she's still kind of stubborn and impulsive... But isn't that exactly because she's still pretty much an apprentice??

Finished chapter 29:
It's been something... Moth Flight's thought about the rule are kind of coming together. This whole WindClan-SkyClan thing has been making me crazy, I hope Willow Tail will get what she deserves. I have a soft spot for clear sky and his reaction to Tiny Branch's death was just so sad. In the entire series his only valid decision is not letting moth flight go because of what Wind Runner said

Glad I could help! I'm doing a reread of the series in order, so it's still relatively fresh in my mind!

Finished it!!
Clear Sky went absolutely feral on Wind Runner and Willow Tail, it was actually pretty disturbing. Windstar's ceremony was pretty cool, I'm not too surprised that she got 8 lives only, but then I don't understand why Tigerheart would get 9. Windstar was... Still somewhat breathing, while Tigerheart was already dead, but whatever, not too surprised they forgot about it. I was teared up for the entire chapter where she gave up her kits, these goodbye scenes always get me tbh The last chapter where they made the medicine cats swore was ok, it didn't really make me feel anything The manga was also so sad, their reunion and everything, I couldn't!!
I know I always say it for anything I've just finished, but I swear this is my favorite SE so far. Tigerheart's Shadow is still following it pretty closely, but it wasn't as good. Next SE on my list is Hawkwing's Journey

Congratulations for finishing it! I can totally see your point, MV is my favorite SE as well. The plot felt so emotional and diverse to me when I read it. Although TS is also a good book, having some great characters such as the Guardian Cats, MV tops it for me. Good luck on reading HJ, I really like that one as well. It truly showcases SkyClan's resistance (altough I'm a SkyClan fan so I might be biased).
