Hear me out guys. So in Mapleshade's vengeance, Ravenwing says that he had an omen of three water reeds washing into his den. He interprets this as Mapleshade's three kits being half-RiverClan, that they don't belong in ThunderClan, and then he tells the truth to the entire Clan. What if it was actually about Mapleshade's kits' deaths? All three of her kits drowned and were washed away by the river, just like the water reeds. A self-fulfilling prophecy. What are y'all's thoughts?

That makes sense to me.

Ravenwing is in a hard position because he had recently (according to Mapleshade) lost his mentor before he was fully prepared to take over the entire wellbeing of the clan. I heard this theory pop up multiple times and I believe, yes, he did misinterpret the prophecy of the kits drowning.

Agreeing with everyone else, this makes sense. I haven't seen this one pointed out before, good job.

Yup, I agree. Maybe Ravenwing is like a half clan hater or something. Could be the case, but I think him assuming that the prophecy was telling him about the parentage of the three kits being Appledusk is pretty fair. He did see Mapleshade take them to the river and talk about Appledusk, and he already thought they looked like him too.
