Which do you prefer? The forest territories or the lake territories? I'd like to hear your thoughts!

Forest territories are so much better.

The Forest!! Each territory seemed so personal and suitable for each Clan perfectly- even when SkyClan lived there. Of course it still has its flaws and the Lake has good qualities too, but I think the Forest will always have my heart.

I find it harder to imagine the lake when im reading, the forest territories seem to have more landmarks, makes it easier to remember and visualise

I voted for the lake because I am more used to this territory. I was pretty young when I read the first series and never reread it fully, so the events of the more recent books are fresher to me.

definitely the lake, it’s just much more familiar and better looking to me
i like the concept of the moonstone more than the moonpool though

Hard to say. We've spent more time in the Lake at this point, but the Forest is such a classic.

The Lake territories feel so empty compared to the Forest territories. There were more landmarks and points of interest.
The lake itself doesn’t really offer much narratively besides being a major obstacle to cross-Clan travel. It completely cuts off clans who are opposite each other. They did the drought the one time and that is it. Comparatively, the Forest’s river served a much more dynamic force in the story (not just when it floods or freezes, but it is a dangerous natural force at all times and serves for a very interesting border between clans).
There are no active Thunderpaths by the lake, nor anything like the Twolegplace or Treecut place or Snakerocks that offer potential sources of conflict. Highstones was a small journey and quite taxing, whereas the Moonpool is basically in ThunderClan’s backyard. And the Island is so far away that it only makes an appearance during Gatherings.
The Forest territories just felt more alive and dangerous and rich with potential storybeats.
