Nettleeyes
Nettleeyes wakes up late the next morning but manages to make it to the highrock in time to go on patrol. Nettleeyes is on hunting duty when he heard a faint sound in the bushes. Nettleeyes crouches slowly to the animal and pounces on a rabbit."yes" he mewed as he walked off to camp. Nettleeyes puts his prey in the fresh kill pile. Nettleeyes went out hunting again but this time with applepaw. Nettleeyes was kind of scared to teach applepaw but over time he knew he was just being silly. It turns out applepaw is a nateral! Nettleeyes was excited today but being a mentor could be harder than you think.

Nettleeyes
Nettleeyes was having a strange day. Nettleeyes heard cats murmuring about evergreen clan. "I wonder" he started to say but couldn't finish because he heard frostpaw and applepaw talking about some sort of dream. Suddenly the conversation turned into a scarce feeling that evergreen clan would attack! Nonsence he whisperd to himself but he couldn't help but to feel worried himself.

Violetpaw's tail lashed as she sat and listened to the meeting, annoyance clear on her face. She would be lying if she said she was surprised that Evergreenclan was trying to pull some mousedung like this, she also wouldn't be shocked if they were responsible for the first flood. The young molly also seemed annoyed at the idea of Whitefur's kits being apprenticed early, namely for a couple of reasons. None of them were especially skilled or showed much talent, she didn't understand why any of them should be rewarded for receiving their mentors early. Not to mention she didn't want babies around in the apprentices den, despite them being only half a moon away from being old enough.
The silver molly huffed loudly and turned to go look for her mentor, spotting Shadeclaw conversing with Strikedawn, recalling that the other she-cat had just received Mallowkit as her apprentice - er, Mallowpaw. She made a mental note to bother her mentor once they wrapped things up. Her attention then went across the clearing, having spotted her sister, Frostpaw, approaching Mousepaw and Firepaw. For a brief moment she thought to join their discussion, but their heads were so close together, like they were sharing secrets. Violetpaw didn't really care to bother them either, she'd just ask Frostpaw what they were talking about later.
So, the apprentice stayed back, ignoring any awkward feelings as she watched her clanmates begin to disperse after the meeting seemed to be concluding, feeling unsure about what she should be doing. ————- ✧ -————
Pinefur with Whitefur

Pinefur was absolutely baffled, too shocked to speak as Robinstar carried on with the apprentice ceremony. He couldn't believe that she was doing it so early. Well, they were all nearly six moons, but it was still unheard of. The golden tabby had half a mind to go up and see just what gave her the audacity to do so. Sure they could use the paws for hunting, but Robinstar had just mentioned they would be hunting outside of their borders. Who knew what would be waiting for them in territory they didn't know very well. His thoughts were racing a million miles a second, trying to grasp the situation as he watched one by one, each of Whitefur's kits meet their leader on the highroot.
After Goosekit was the last to leave, he slipped away and padded towards Whitefur, already sensing her unease. He gave a polite nod to Tigerbreeze, sitting with the both of them now. "Did you even know she was going to do this?" He asked the queen, keeping his tone even. |

Whitefur [---- 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 ----] "No" She sighed. "But I think that what Robinstar did was spur of the moment. "And, I'm proud of my kits. They will be fine warriors one day." Whitefur sighed. "I bet Tigerbreeze is proud of them too. I think their mentors will do a great job. And I don't think that Robinstar would let them leave clan territory before they are ready." She turned to Pinefur. "We mustn't doubt our leader. Robinstar is doing what she thinks is best." Whitefur felt like an elder saying something like that, but she knew it was true. |

Mallowpaw
This wasn't right,at least not for Mallowpaw.He didn't know why Robinstar made him a apprentic,and he especialy didn't know why Robinstar made Strikedawn his mentor.Strikedawn was one of the younger warriors tought not too young,but she was already known for how much she had done.When Strikedawn was an apprentice she was made a warrior about two moons early from what Mallowpaw heard form Rookclaw,and when the flood happend she saved him and his litter mates with the help of there mother.And now Mallow paw was standing with her right outside the entrance to the clan stareing at the vast woods.
"Are you sure I'm ready for this,Strikedawn."Mallowpaw didn't want to mess this up in frount of his hero.They were just on a border patrol but Mallowpaw thougt he might anger the other clans so much that they would want to go to war with Sootclan."Robinstar hasn't made a mistake in my life time,but there is always a first for evrey thing."

His eyes glowed with pride as he saw his kits become apprentices. But a flicker of doubt crossed his mind. There so young... But they will be fine this is MY kits were talking about! He reassured himself. He agnoleged Pinenose with a flick of his tail as he came over and started talking to his mate. He said something then his mate replied but he was too proud to listen . My kits are now apprentices how quickly they've grown .a smile crossed his face and he was the first and loudest to yowl their new names.

Apple Paw
Apple paw touched noses with her mentor gratefully and shuffled her paws sitting down, she gave her chest fur a few chesk licks, she always kept her fur sleek and clean.

She asked, and he nodded. Strikedawn led Mallowpaw out of camp, planning to tour the territory with him. "Are you sure I'm ready for this Strikedawn?" "Robinstar hasn't made a mistake in my life time,but there is always a first for evrey thing." Strikedawn though for a moment then said; "Trust your leader Mallowpaw, she does everything for a reason" They were now nearing the Firetree, and Strikedawn sped up, trying to see how her young apprentice would fare. "This is the Firetree. it was struck by lightning moons ago, before Robinstar was born. I bet Rookclaw would tell you all about it."

Robinstar looked down on her clan, uncertain. "Meeting dismissed." She called, leaping down from the high-root. Robinstar approached Lynxclaw. "Will you send out today's patrols please?" She asked. When he nodded she went over to Mousepaw. "Hello Mousepaw. Would you mind hunting with me?" It was a question, but Robinstar was her mentor, so Mousepaw kind of had to say yes. "Lets go, we can hunt near Sedgesongs tree."

As they went through Sootclan teritory,Mallowpaw noticed that his mentor was getting faster and faster.This might be a test he thougt,so he found a good pace right behind Strikdawn.They soon arived at a giant tree.Strikedawn began to speak once they were at they were nearing a tree split in half,"This is the Firetree. it was struck by lightning moons ago, before Robinstar was born. Mousepaw with Robinstar

@ Dew Mousepaw eagerly waited for Frostpaw's response when Robinstar's voice made her sit up straight. She looked up at her mentor and instinctively nodded at her question, already rising to her paws as she looked back at the other two. "Bye Frostpaw, bye Firepaw." She smiled at the both of them before turning after her mentor. Slipping under the rooted entrance, Mousepaw mainly stuck by Robinstar's side as the both of them began to travel towards Sedgesong's tree. A sort of awkward silence fell between them, at least on Mousepaw's end. For some reason she just wasn't sure how to strike up a conversation, which seemed out of character for the molly. She just seemed so unsure after the meeting, wanting to trust in her leaders decision but finding it difficult to do so. ————- ✧ -————

He asked skeptically, frowning even more when his brothers mate told him not to doubt Robinstar. He cast a glance towards Tigerbreeze and wasn't shocked to see his brother looking so proud and calling out his kits' names. "I'm not saying I'm doubting Robinstar," which he totally was, "I just find it odd there wasn't even a discussion." Not that Pinefur had any jurisdiction over the situation, but they were his nieces and nephews, and he did care immensely for them. |

Lynxclaw looked out at his clan as Robinstar dismissed the meeting,and came over to him."Will you send out today's patrols please?"she asked and went away once he noded.He had to think for a moment then,but Lynxclaw had been doing this for a while so the pattrols were easy."Strikedawn,Nettleeyes,and Lavenderfang go with your appretinces and have a bit of basic 1 on 1 training with them,"then he said"since Mousepaw just left,only Firepaw and Violetpaw will be just going with me on a training patrol so I can see how much they about battle moves."There was alot of cats to put on patrols he had notice when Lynxclaw first did this,but he kept going,"Shadeclaw and Tansyfoot,you two will go on a hunting patrol,that leaves Tigerbreeze and Pinefur to go on the boder patrol with Whitefur if she wants."
Once he was done,Lnyxclaw went to Firepaw and Violetpaw and said,"Let's get going."And they followed him out of camp to some that wasn't Sedgesong's Tree.

Robinstar did notice the awkward silence that filled the air as she left camp with Mousepaw. But, they were nearing Sedgesong's Tree, and prey scent filled the air. "Mousepaw, what do you smell?" Robinstar said, turing to look at Mousepaw. Mousepaw was an older apprentice, but Robinstar asked her this every time, it was the first thing you did when you were hunting, and sometimes apprentices needed a bit of a reminder. I hope Mousepaw isn't mad at me for making the kits apprentices. But, even if Mousepaw was, it didn't matter. What was done was done, and an apprentice would not change her mindStrikedawnShowing Mallowpaw around | -:*“*};windwisp;{*”*:-Strikedawn took one more sniff at the burnt tree, then moved on. "Listen to me Mallowpaw. I am about to bring you to the Hidden woods. You need to be very careful and stay close to me, you understand?" Mallowpaw nodded, and she continued on. The Hidden Woods were kind of spooky, at least to her. Please Starclan, have us not run into a Lynx. Lynx's were creepy. They were stronger than clan cats, bigger too. And they had a cat-like language to them, the clan cats could understand some words, but not all. |

Shadeclaw // Preparing for patrol // CAMP // OPEN"Right. Okay, yep. Hunting patrol." Honestly it was probably a good thing. She needed some time to clear her thoughts after today's gathering. She shuffled on her feet, feeling strangely nervous. "Hey, Tansyfoot! Hunting patrol!" She yelled across the clearing. The tabby tom, who apparently had been giving himself a very hasty stress-bath, perked his ears up and trotted over. "I was thinking of heading up to Sedgesong's tree, since there's normally at least a few mice skittering around." Shadeclaw said, making her way to the camp entrance. Tansyfoot pointed out Robinstar's new orders, that they were now permitted to hunt outside of the borders. Tansyfoot seemed be in a strange mood today, and it rubbed Shadeclaw the wrong way. She scoffed and led the way out towards the Sedgesong tree. Firepaw // also preparing for patrol // CAMP // 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 -:*“*};windwisp;{*”*:-Hearing Lynxclaw's request to take him on a training patrol, he stood up. "Sorry Frostpaw, we'll have to talk later." He said hastily, trotting over to where Lynxclaw sat. He would be on patrol with Violetpaw, his sister's apprentice. It's not that he disliked her per se, it's just that he did not like her. Maybe it was just him. Maybe he had just managed to interact with her on every single bad day that she had. Maybe the patrol would offer him a chance to get to know her better.

"We are not going to Sedgesong's tree,but rather somewhere my mentor took me,and where I took both of my apprentices.It have any prey like Sedgesong's tree but it's a small clearing not near the border or any where important so the new apprentices will not come over while cheecking out the teritory.So it's perfect to make sure we don't get distracted and we don't worry the apprentice of war."When he was done explaing this,Lynxclaw realized that he didn't exactly know what Firepaw and Violetpaw where learning so he asked, "How much do you know on battle moves?"And promptly waited for a reaspons. Mallowpaw//Hidden Woods//Dew Mallowpaw didn't like the Hidden Woods even befor he steped in.Rookclaw had told them stories of how Lynxes lived here,and some where even bigger than Lynxclaw even with his amounts of fluff.As Mallowpaw took one step at a time it to the forest he reallized that both him and Strikedawn had slowed down and now where both walking together.This ment that she ether just wanted to slow down,or was just as scared as Mallowpaw was,and if Strikdawn was scared then he couldn't think that he could get through alone.But he wasn't alone,and so Mallowpaw stayed close to Strikedawn and hoped to they wouldn't run into any lynxs.

Mousepaw with Robinstar
Sedgesong's tree
@ Dew Relief flooded her entire being, happy to distract her mind with something new, something she was good at. Mousepaw had turned out to be an excellent hunter with Robinstar's guidance, it was rare for her not to come back from hunting without a catch. She was quiet on the ground, a natural predator within the tall grass, and graceful as like a swan in the trees, hopping from branch to branch. Her skill could only go up as she continued to grow into her fine and lanky frame. At Robinstar's question, the ruddy tabby cat lifted her chin and let her mouth open slightly, taking in the scents of the forest. She tasted the air on her tongue, her brain trying to make sense of every scent around her.
"Birds, a sparrow, and a family of hares." Mousepaw opened her eyes and turned her head in the direction of the rabbits. "Just over there." She nodded her head, as if to emphasize exactly where they were. Her attention returned to her mentor once again, staring right into the other tabby's green eyes. Perhaps she'd question her leader later on about her decision, but now was not the time. If anything Mousepaw was just confused by it, as it was still breaking the code. Something she never thought Robinstar would do. Yet it didn't break her trust in her leader and mentor, it would have to take something extreme for that to happen.
Violetpaw turned her head when her name was called, surprised to see that the voice was coming from Lynxclaw and not her own mentor. While she was a bit miffed that she wouldn't be going along with Shadeclaw, a small sense of pride did shoot through her at the prospect of getting to show off in front of the deputy, she would've been happier if it were Robinstar, but he'd have to do. She was quick to move, falling in beside Firepaw and trotting a little faster to pull ahead of him. While she didn't particularly care, she did notice the ginger tom had been acting rather strange around her. Like, leaving the den when she would walk in, or falling quiet when she'd enter a conversation, even keeping his distance when she was around. She was beginning to think he didn't like her. Oh well, Violetpaw could care less of what other cats thought of her. If Firepaw didn't like her then that was his problem that he could deal with if he wanted to.
Her ears twitched as she listened to Lynxclaw talk about where they were going and she had to stop herself from rolling her eyes when he mentioned they'd be away from the new apprentices so they wouldn't see them fight. They'll have to learn eventually that being a warrior isn't all rainbows and sunshine, she thought to herself while keeping her face still and expression unreadable. Though she seemed to perk up when asked about their battle training. One of her favorite things about having Shadeclaw as a mentor was how much she'd learned about fighting from the older molly. While only being a moon younger, Violetpaw felt confident she could properly defend herself, maybe even win, in a sparring session with either Firepaw or Mousepaw.
"I know the basics." Violetpaw spoke up first, casting a look Firepaw's way before glancing back to Lynxclaw. "Shadecreek's also taught me the duck and twist, and has started to show me the half-turn belly rake." (i got a good chuckle from Firepaw's inner dialogue lol Violet is a little hard to like so he's not wrong) |

Firepaw // Lynxclaw's Training Patrol // -:*“*};windwisp;{*”*:- 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 As he trotted along behind Lynxclaw, his mind drifted back to the prophecy. He had a desperate hope that it really would be a signal of bounty come greenleaf, but he knew that he wouldn't be able to get it out of his mind until he managed to get more information out of Frostpaw. And the three new apprentices; he hoped that nothing would come of them being trained early, maybe they would just end up as normal warriors. Lynxclaw said that he would be taking them to a special place, a small clearing where his mentor used to take him when he was still an apprentice. On any other day, Firepaw would have had a rush of excitement at the prospect, but right now he was distracted by thoughts of prophecy and doom. He realized that Lynxclaw had asked them what battle moves they knew. Violetpaw had quickly answered, but it took a few more seconds before Firepaw realized the question and stuttered out a response. "I, uh, know the basic moves. Swipes and pounces n' stuff. Also some, uh, rolls and dodges too. And that... tail-grab thing." He said, getting more embarrassed with every word out of his mouth. This was the deputy for Starclan's sake! Pull yourself together Firepaw! "Pinefur was saying that I might do better with a more evasive technique." Maybe he should just stop talking.

I shouldn't have sent her ahead,Lynxclaw thought,but he just went spoke agin to Firepaw, "Let's go faster so we can tell Violetpaw what you two have for the day."And with that he started running to the clearing.

Nettleeyes and apple paw
Nettleeyes was happy that apple paw was so excited to learn how to hunt. okay okayhe said. Slow down and stay close to me to start. He said to apple paw. Now . He said. Oh look.he whispered. I smell a mouse. Can you?Apple paw sniffed the ground and said yes I can. Good said Nettleeyes. Now slowly crouch down and follow the sent until you see the mouse. Ok mewed apple paw. I see it! Apple paw whispered. Ok said Nettleeyes now slowly approach it and then pounce. Got it. Said apple paw. Apple paw did exactly what Nettleeyes said and pounced on the mouse. She got it! GOOD JOB! You did it! Applepaw did not speak because of the mouse in her mouth but he could see excitement and happiness in her eyes. Nettleeyes was so proud that he ran in circles. You know not many cats get a kill on the first try. Said Nettleeyes now let’s go back to the camp and put that mouse in the fresh kill pile. Once apple paw put down the mouse she said I loved that!!. Just wait to see what else you will learn. Said Nettleeyes

You scare it into running to me, and I will kill it." This would be good. She had not gone deep into hunting with partners yet with Mousepaw, and this would be good practice. Robinstar readyed herself, for when Mousepaw chased the rabbit to her. |

Violetpaw that it was a little strange that Lynxclaw wanted her to move ahead of them, but she wasn't about to argue with the deputy, even if she was curious to hear how much battle training Firepaw knew. Was it more than her? Did she need to be worried about potentially sparring with him and losing in front of an influential cat such as Lynxclaw? Shaking the thoughts from her head, the silver molly trotted ahead towards the clearing that the older tom had pointed out earlier.
Once she arrived, Violetpaw sat patiently and watched the two converse for a moment before running towards her. Her pelt begin to itch with impatience as she found herself growing frustrated with not knowing what they were talking about, or what Lynxclaw was really going to have them do. ————- ✧ -————

@ Dew Mousepaw nodded eagerly, obviously excited about this new hunting tactic. She'd only caught prey on her own, so she was eager to learn what it would be like to try and hunt with a partner. Once Robinstar left, the young molly then moved in a wide circle to try and get behind where she believed the rabbit to be. She followed its scent, her paws silently hitting the forest floor, growing closer and closer to her prey. Soon she spotted it, an adult rabbit nibbling on some greenery and unaware of its stalker.
Taking in a deep breath, Mousepaw focused in on her prey before shooting out of the foliage and instead of pouncing on the rabbit, gave chase to it. Rabbit were harder prey to catch if they weren't caught right away, their running patterns hard to predict. So it was more difficult to herd the thing than the apprentice anticipated, still Mousepaw trusted her instincts and cut off the rabbit from narrowly escaping. Soon Robinstar scent grew stronger and she knew she was leading the rabbit right towards the paws of her awaiting mentor. |

Nettleeyes and apple pawNettleeyes was happy that apple paw was so excited to learn how to hunt. okay okayhe said. Slow down and stay close to me to start. He said to apple paw. Now . He said. Oh look.he whispered. I smell a mouse. Can you?Apple paw sniffed the ground and said yes I can. Good said Nettleeyes. Now slowly crouch down and follow the sent until you see the mouse. Ok mewed apple paw. I see it! Apple paw whispered. Ok said Nettleeyes now slowly approach it and then pounce. Got it. Said apple paw. Apple paw did exactly what Nettleeyes said and pounced on the mouse. She got it! GOOD JOB! You did it! Applepaw did not speak because of the mouse in her mouth but he could see excitement and happiness in her eyes. Nettleeyes was so proud that he ran in circles. You know not many cats get a kill on the first try. Said Nettleeyes now let’s go back to the camp and put that mouse in the fresh kill pile. Once apple paw put down the mouse she said I loved that!!. Just wait to see what else you will learn. Said Nettleeyes
Apple paw was beginning to pad over to the medicine den when she fell onto her side and fainted
