What is a character that you feel like adds nothing to the plot and is just there but doesn't do anything? Like they're just not important and if you got rid of them it wouldn't change the story a bit?

Tree. He could disappear from the allegiances and never show up in the story again and I wouldn't care/notice. It's not as if he's ever done his job successfully. He didn't contribute to the conflict in AVOS at all or help solve it. They did it on their own. And he was absolutely useless during TBC, and he'll continue to be now.

Breezepelt Ok, I know he is not a background character and he might add a little bit to the plot lines of OotS but he gets mad because his father does not pay attention to him. I mean, so do most other father's in warrior cats and all the arc 1 characters are fine! Anyways, he trains in the dark forest, knows all to well that they are taining there to destroy the clans, and after the battle he gets off scot free. I mean he doesn't get exiled or given a punishment as far as I can tell. If he dies I would probably not even notice he kinda sucks.

He only became a mediator because he was too lazy to be a warrior (I still like him a lil bit) and then he doesn't do anything. The Erin's even admitted in Thunder that they forgot Tree was a mediator and forgot to do anything with his role.

Agreed. He only showed up in a couple of books and we haven't seen him since the time between TPB and TNP I think. We haven't seen him for obvious reasons, and nothing would really happen if the Erin's got rid of him (although it's too late)

Those 123456789987654321234567 background characters that solely exist just to fill the allegiances. I mean I'd rather have a Clan with one warrior that has a lot of spotlight rather than have 123456789987654321234567 characters who do nothing. Ikr like, lets just have a huge fire that spreads all over the lake to kill all of the 5945853828042402394 million cats in thunderclan rn and then an off screen death for the background cats of the other clans

Molepaw. All he does is be born and die out of nowhere. You could write him out of the story and literally nothing would change other then a few lines. I guess you could argue that his death does make Sorreltail get sad about losing another kit when Honeyfern dies, but nothing ever comes out of that.
In his entire existence he:
- Is born during the badger attack - Gets named with his siblings - Plays with his siblings in Leafpool's Wish (Which was published long after his death) - Dies and also is apprenticed offscreen
He's never seen in Starclan, and gets mentioned a few times after this, twice being mistakenly called a kit, when he died as a apprentice.

I love her but Sandstorm. She doesn’t do anything plot relevant in TPB. I mean, her interactions with other characters are interesting and she definitely adds emotional depth to Firestar’s development, but you could also take her out of TPB without much consequence. The only truly vital thing she does for the series is give birth to Squirrelflight and Leafpool.

It was a bit funny when Dovewing's litter had not relevancy outside of Shadowsight back in TBC. And then Lightleap gets screentime, but it's mostly for her being a terrible friend in ASC, meanwhile Pouncestep who??
Then you have the majority of ThunderClan having either no personality, not beings significant enough to remember, or just...why do they exist at all??
Eaglewing (Basically another patrol cat imma be honest) Myrtlebloom (Only personality is crow the deadname rhetoric) Dewnose (any personality you had was gone as a warrior??) Stormcloud (compelling story gone to waste) Hollytuft (I remember your siblings more than you) Honeyfur (same case as Dewnose) Sorrelstripe (your only significant role was in a novella lmao) Shellfur (you only had a personality in a novella and you're only relevant now cause of Fernstripe) Plumstone (yasss king give us nothing!) Leafshade (again...only personality traits were in a novella, yeesh)
