ULTIMATE GUIDE SPOILERS!!
in the last few pages of the new ultimate guide, firestar and graystripe are talking about how skystar is misunderstood, after we see his flashback, which.... what????????????? it shocked me and honestly ruined the end of that excerpt tbh. thoughts?

Yeah, even as a Skystar fan, I couldn't help but laugh at that. I guess you could argue his motives are misunderstood (the entire reason for his hostility stems from his paranoia and grief, which apparently never went away since he keeps relapsing anyway, rather than power and greed like most of the other antagonists in this series), but even then... I don't know, I just wish his redemption in TBS had actually stuck. |

my theory is that if a warrior cats ultimate guide doesn't have at least one line that makes you think "wtf actually were they thinking" the entire series will explode

This part was so silly, Graystripe and Firestar were just acting so normally until the last paragraph where they talk about Clear Sky. It felt like whoever was writing it at the moment possessed the characters to spew their warrior cat opinions on Clear Sky 😭
I almost burst out laughing by how jarring the shift was

I mean, DOTC already tries to excuse his actions because they were fated and frame him as a "misunderstood sad boi who needs to forgive himself." Especially in the scene where Quiet Rain disowns him and later forgives him.

He caused too much trouble and got away with it. |

it makes me want to quit the series knowing clear sky: a mass murderer with no morals or respect for anyone that got nothing but a half-assed redemption to his name, is thriving in starclan when bristlefrost: a cat who died to save starclan, the dark forest, and the clans, all at the same time got the void instead of at least being in starclan waiting for her mate to join her

Ashfur, Mudclaw, and Onestar to name a few. |
