Reply to Sandpaw--]

Moonpaw slid forward on her stomach, a nest of mice. Lunging forward, she hooked her claws on several and pulled them towards her to give them a swift kill. At Sandpaw's voice, she glanced around. It seemed to echo from everywhere, which was rather odd to hear. She rolled her eyes. "Puh-lease. I probably have twice as much prey as you!." She studied her kills more closely. Two were full grown, one seemed to be younger, and the fourth was the only fat one. Her whiskers twitched, slightly disappointed in herself. 'All well..' She gathered her prey and started to where she believed she'd come from.

Sandpaw chuckled and rolled his eyes at her sass. "Quality over quantity, Moonpaw!" He called back, smiling. The massive young tom stretched leisurely in the sun as he waited for her to return, basking in the glow as his golden pelt soaked up the rays. He closed his eyes and yawned, suddenly feeling sleepy. "Hey, when you get back, wanna take a nap before we head back?"

Moonpaw didnt hear him. Instead she wandered onward, her eyes adjusted to the darkness but her mind not to the narrow pathways hidden away in the mountain.

Moonpaw followed the single pathway she found until coming across a larger cave. But it wasnt the one where Sandpaw was. Curiously, she padded forward. The ground underneath her dropped and she froze. Cracks sounded from the rock. Hurridly, she ran the rest of the way until she felt harder ground under her paws. Behind her, the floor gave way, sending a loud crash echoing througj the caves.

Sandpaw perked his ears as a tiny echo caught his attention. Barely a noise at all, but enough to send him heading for a tunnel to his right. He felt relief flood through him as he entered and was enveloped in Moonpaw's scent. It was a tiny tunnel, and he felt his fur stand on end at the small space. He slowed in his pace for a second, but instantly, his eyes narrowed in determination. Moonpaw was in trouble because of him- he brought her here, but he refused to leave without her. "Moonpaw, I'm coming!" he shouted, even louder than before. He raced forward, heart lightening as the tunnel began to widen and turn, daylight shining through. He was completely ready to turn and find Moonpaw simply caught in a thorn bush or such, grateful she wasn't trapped in the tunnels or some other such disaster. When he turned the corner though, he found simply a massive pile of rock and rubble, bathed in sunlight by a hole in the ceiling. A hole that had never been there before. "Moonpaw!" he shouted fearfully, hoping desperately that she hadn't been buried under the tons of rock.

Sandpaw felt relief flood through him at the sound of her voice. "I'm fine! Are you?" he called back, examining the rock pile. It was going to be a dangerous climb- the rocks were unstable and could easily tumble down under his weight. But it was no question as to whether he would climb it or not. What he needed to decide was where to climb it. He finally decided on a section where there were mostly large rocks, and few small, tumbling ones. "I'm coming!" he shouted, leaping up onto the first of the boulders. He growled in alarm as it slid slightly beneath his paws, tensing in preparation for the massive rock above it to come rolling down onto him. When he found nothing moving though, he tentatively opened his eyes, checking his surroundings for any danger. Finding none, he took a deep breath and prepared his muscles for the next jump.
