 Welcome . . . SharpClan's warriors are outcasts, survivors of the NightClan coup, cats who didn't want to take their chances with NightClan's bloodthirsty leader, Gloomstar, and instead decided to follow the stars to new lands in hope of raising a generation of cats--a new Clan--without NightClan's heavy history. They travelled through greenleaf and leaffall before stopping at an abandoned twoleg den littered with broken monsters. They managed to survive leafbare there and, after a Clan meeting, decided they wouldn't risk travelling further. They are SharpClan now: cats of broken cars and twisted fences; cats that hunt the shallow creek and abandoned farm fields; a single Clan, alone, ready to write their own legacy. |

idk how long these pages will take I've never done any comic writing before.
The first moon's patrol is paneled and sketched tho it's a fight scene too ;-;
I might do like, one page of a "scene" comic style and then another that's just 3-6 individual panel snapshots that'll have text accompanying them. Might take me ~1 week per moon but we'll see.

wip for the first page <3 mostly a test to see how this size resolution does on the forums Might be a bit for a real update, cuz I want to finish this page + do the "downtime" camp stills before I put them all up. I think the format for this project might be 1 page comic of a longer scene + 1 page of panels that have summaries below for smaller interactions or patrols |

the over the shoulder clawstrike shot is by far the hardest pose out of everything ;-;
Ironically, I have the paw(s... I decided to do a blur through the action) in a place I'm very happy with, it's the head and shoulder positioning that is KILLING me
also man did I decide to go hard with Mari's pose for that panel like. idk where that came from but I'm here for it.
I just wanna finish this one up so I can move on to the stills <3<3

two day break being away from my computer. I had to housesit + dogsit and it was... a little exhausting being in a new place.
Good news: I got to entirely reread project hail mary for like, the fourth time in two years. Best book.

wip2. progress things I've learned: lineless is harder at higher resolutions esp markings Chasingstar's white fur on white snow is going to be a pain to deal with shading is going to be worse I'm already on layer 100 help (at least I'm using folders...) also I chose a really bad division of ground/sky bg for the last two frames |

all the flats of the bottom half of the page + fixes done tonight (which took a lot longer than I really wanted it to)
now it's just that painful big frame and shading
(and maybe changing how I do the eyes lineless? Because. I don't like the way they look in the top frames AT ALL)

I probably won't be doing this project any time soon tho unfortunately ;-; I accidentally put like, 2hrs of work on the wrong layer, ruining all the backgrounds for like, four frames and then got frustrated and gave up ooooop
maybe I'll return to it eventually. When I have fewer projects on my plate
