According to attendees of one of Tui T. Sutherland's conferences, there are plans for the younger generation of Wings of Fire to be key main characters in the fourth series.
Specific names that came up include Bumblebee (HiveWing), Auklet (SeaWing), Cliff (SkyWing), Dusky (SilkWing), and Mink (IceWing).
What are our thoughts?

I want to see more of them, yesss! Although I wish Tui would make characters who aren't royalty protagonists, because I feel like royalty has been over-represented in the series.

i think id def enjoy a younger generation of protagonist, but i think id mostly be in it to see the developed relationship between Pantala and Pyrrhia. also i wish we could have another mudwing protagonist or a hybrid protagonist... i think that'd be fun and both povs havent been something present in the series since arc 1... so it does feel kinda overdue. idk. i just dont think mudwings have ever been treated too nicely by tui or the fandom </3
