Not technically art, but i think this belongs here anyway? Anyway, digital artists, what brush and size do you use for your lineart? Because I’m using the g pen and my lineart is wonky as hell help

I use a brush I got off Tumblr AGES ago, and I usually do lineart with the pen size at 4. I use SAI, so I don't think sharing exactly what I use would be helpful in this situation alkdjfakdjf How exactly is your lineart wonky :0

It's just really wonky, and whenever I try to do thin lineart it comes out looking ugly, I'll send a picture later but I'm at school rn

Does the program you use have a stabilizer/correction setting?
I just use the default pen tool and I'm inconsistent with the size.

Do you draw with a tablet? If you draw with a mouse or with your fingers that can make it harder to get straight lines. It also just might just be something that comes with practice! I feel like getting clean lines is something every artist struggles with at times, even if they've been drawing for a lot of years alkdjfalkdjf

yeah lineart comes with time. Stabilizers help a bit, but it really is time
also the faster you move your hand, the straighter the line will be. Not too fast, but you can't go super slow or it will wobble. it really is just repetition tho
and idk if brush size or quality really matters for lineart?? so many people make things work with wildly different settings, you just gotta experiment and see what works for you. Mess with the pressure curves of brushes--it's fun and you might find something you like.
