I know this is probably a silly question but, I just wanna be sure.

Are we allowed to advertise games? I play a couple of them, one being a legit game that you download and play (an MMORPG), and the other is a website that you play on. I want to advertise the website one to earn more game currency. I know that probaby sounds like a selfish reason but to me it's really no different than having people click dragon eggs to help them hatch, it's really the same concept; people click on the link to the game and I benefit from it.

The website game is safe and I trust it, their rules are pretty strict and it seems mellow, I've not seem too much drama going on (then again I don't pay attention to chat or anything else much; I'm kind of antisocial if you haven't noticed). I can post the website's url so it may be checked out, if asked.

From what I've seen, as long as you're not posting links everywhere or creating threads to straight up advertise it, it's fine. In other words, subtle advertising is okay.

The suggestions I have are: putting it in your signature, or, if you have a den, just placing a link there in a small section of the den.

But making threads telling people to join the game is discouraged because it could easily become spam. If that makes sense.

But those are just my two cents.

Well the way it would work is I'd go to the site and get a special link that, when clicked on and the person who clicked on it actually joins the game, I'll get a certain amount of game currency per time that happens. And I would most likely put it in my signature since the link provides a picture of the game with it. Probably should have specified that in my first post.

And then you can keep the picture of the game w/ the link in your signature as well.

I changed it to my siggy, I decided to make my own ad banner rather than use the image I'm given for advertising with. hope that's ok? All people would have to do is click the image and they'll be taken to the page where they can join the game and play.
