Please feed my addiction to making bunches of cats <3 Also PLEASE feel free to chat or talk on this thread while you're waiting for your Clan! All finished products are linked to the second post, so talk without fear of burying requests~
Requesting a Clan is simple: Post with ONE of the Starters Add ONE modifier to spice things up. Premium modifiers are unlocked as you keep playing; be a dedicated player to unlock them all! Add-ons are available for players who want to use this thread as a generator for their own projects!
All Clans are YOURS after they're posted: I would appreciate some credit if you use them, unaltered, in other projects; otherwise, change whatever you wish to make them work for you <3
By default*, all Clans will include: - A Clan (or group) Name - Two Clan traits - A short description of physical and social attributes many of the group share - A short description of the territory they call home - A basic allegiance**
*Specific add-ons (listed below) are only available to request if you intend to USE the created Clan for a current project **Most Clans will include at least one allegiance add-on package as a bonus, as well as another random add-on.
Starters: [ choose one ]
Clan Name - give me a Clan name (or prefix, if you choose group that isn't a Clan =o), and I'll do the rest Traits - pick two traits, like in the books: [the cautious and sly], or perhaps [the charismatic and clever]. Biome - choose a biome and I'll make a Clan that lives there! Characters - throw me an OC and I'll make a Clan for them to live in Plot - post a starter plot and I'll make the Clan to go along with it Image - moodboards? maps? landscape pictures? Insert and image and I'll make a Clan to fit the vibe
Modifiers: [ choose one ]
None Tribe Non-Clan group Nomadic Urban Extra large group Extra small group Huge territory Tiny territory Fantasy/Sci-fi Elemental Magic Winged Cats Hybrid Cats (for example, rabbit cats!) Underwater/Mercats ___ Cats (Fill in your own modifier; Cats made from stone, fairy cats, anthro, angel cats ect. Perhaps not even cats at all!)
Premium Unlocks Unlock unique modifiers or abilities after requesting #x Clans.
1 - Double Up - Pick two of the above Modifiers instead of one! 3 - Wild Card - An uno reverse card for your Starter. The expected outcome.... with a twist. 5 - Toss the Dice - The Random Number Generator picks a BONUS two random modifiers from the above list and applies it to your Starter. For extra crazy settings. 8 - Chaser - Include an Add-on for free, on the house. 10 - Squirtle and Bulbasaur - You can pick two Starter options! Give me a picture and a character; a biome and a plot. 13 - It's a Triple - Pick three Modifiers! 15 - Legendary Drop - A completely unique setting for your Clan.
Add-ons: [ +1 random add-on free with every request ] (note: please respect my time and request additional details ONLY if you are planning to USE the created Clan AND the add-on is relevant to the project you are requesting it for. I do these all on my own, without the aid of generators, and while I don't mind making tons of basic Clans on a whim, many of these add-on options take time and love--I ask that you respect my effort by matching it with effort of your own if you request these optional add-ons <3 Any package with add-ons requested MUST credit me, and I'd appreciate that you link me to the project it is intended for so I could check it out~ Add-on packages may also increase the wait time for the Clan--don't be surprised if other people cut the line if you requested multiple add-ons.)
+ Landmarks - Add landmarks and details to the territory map + Camp - Camp description included + Basic map - It's just a sketch, but you can use it to render something better looking + Detailed Bios - More detailed descriptions, along with personality traits + Bonus Characters - Loners, rogues, and outsiders that live around your group + Family Tree - A diagram that shows who is related to whom + Plot - A basic plot that goes hand in hand (paw in paw?) with your custom crafted Clan + History - How was the Clan founded? A short exploration into the history of the group + Narrative - An short writing drabble in the new Clan. May significantly increase wait time.
Example posts:
1) YOoooooo how about a Clan with the traits "stubborn and reclusive" [Starter] but they have an extra small group [Modifier]?
2) I loved AppleClan!! I think a Clan called CherryClan [Starter] would pair really well with it =o And since this is the third Clan I'm requesting, that means I get the unlocked modifiers, right? That means I can have two modifiers [Premium Unlock]... how about winged cats and nomadic? [Modifiers]
3) Hey I'm looking for a Clan for my fanfic plot. I need the Clan to have a war with the main character's Clan, kinda like sunningrocks was for the original forest. [Starter] Can that be my starter? Because I'm using this for a 'fic, can I have some extra information? Maybe the landmark, camp, and map packages,[add ons] that'll be good. Thanks!

That request fits one of my favorite worldbuilds exactly: the Tribe of the Sleeping Fire-Fang was a volcano-based elemental tribe haha Good!

I'd like a cold desert biome for the starter and for the modifier I like the idea of cats made from stone but perhaps you could have them be made of other nature elements in addition (cats made from stone, cats made from plants, cats made from sand, etc.) Looking forward to seeing it

I think I went a little too hard into this Tribe, but I just have to finish up the second half of the allegiances. I think you'll like it a lot <3
WHY do I insist on making so many ranks for magic groups?????

The Tribe of Ringing Stone A Song of Magic ORIGIN
The Tribe of Ringing Stone was founded by a small cloister of cats who were forced to take shelter in a warren of abandoned mines when they attempted to cross the mountain pass and instead found themselves iced in. They never intended to stay for long, but while they were stuck over four moons waiting for the pass to thaw, they discovered something special: a certain shining ore vein in the mine's wall, ringing with a pure, perfect tone, which allowed a cat to harness magical powers. A cat simply has to hum the pitch (or, when trained, to hear the tone in their head) to call forth the magic, and modulating the note, intensity, or quality allows for control over different elements. Complex magics are woven by creating chords or trills. . ABOUT
The cats of the Tribe are highly varied, as the road through the pass is fairly heavily travelled and brings the Tribe plenty of cats from both sides of the mountain range. The Tribe is welcoming of visitors, allowing any travelers from the West side of the range to shelter in their camp while they wait for the thaw; they also take in new members fairly frequently, though their hierarchy system prevents new members from learning how to control the elements until they have proven their loyalty to the Tribe. Many cats in the Tribe of Ringing Stone have medium- to long-furred pelts with tufted paws. Those that can trace their ancestry back to the original cloister have tufted tails too, with a distinct white patch on their chest. Cats that have been wielding elemental magic in the Tribe for many seasons are notable for their distinct polychromatic eyes: having two or more distinct colors splitting their irises. Grey pelts are particularly common, but no color or pattern is exceptionally rare. . RANKS
Elders hold the most power in the Tribe. Cats that retire are allowed to join their ranks, forming a council that makes all important choices by vote. One younger cat is ceremonially considered an elder, and is expected to be the voice for the younger generation. This cat must be between twenty and forty moons, and must be born within the Tribe (or adopted as a kitten). The council members are often called Voices, and Voice used as a title rank. The council as a group is known as the Harmonious Voice. Below the elders are the Pure Melodies of Radiance, or Melodies for short. The Melodies serve as senior warriors, fully trusted within the Tribe. Melodies are not expected to hunt for the Tribe and are valued as defenders and teachers. Although most Melodies are indeed senior Tribe members, a cat must distinguish themselves in the Tribe before they are promoted to this rank and it is earned by their merit as a teacher, fighter, or magic wielder, not merely by seniority in the group. Most of the Tribe members are the Echoed Tones, or Echos. These are cats that have proved themselves, completed training, and are entrusted with the secret of magic. The Echos are responsible for many of the day-to-day tasks in the Tribe, including hunting, foraging for herbs, or camp chores. Below the Echos are the Whispers of Patient Eons. These are cats that, while having completed basic training, do not have access to the Tribe’s magic. This is where many of the adult wanderers that join the Tribe fit, and is a temporary position until one can prove they are able to be trusted with the Tribe’s secrets. Whispers are often given the worst of camp chores. The last rank in the Tribe are the Tremors of Incipient Potential -- the Tribe’s apprentices. This includes young cats that are learning to hunt and fight, but also Whispers that have earned enough trust to begin learning magic. Any cat whose primary job is learning can be lumped in with the Tremors, including those that are switching roles or taking on a new and challenging element. Any cat that knows herblore and healing can be considered a Healer: there is no specialized role for this, and most cats are taught the basics. Usually, one Melody passes down more specialized healing knowledge to a protegee, who, when they graduate, bypasses being an Echo straight to being a Melody themselves and practices Healing full time. Nursery Queens are sometimes called Songs. The choice must be cleared by a unanimous vote of the Elders. . TERRITORY
The only space the Tribe of Ringing Stone lays claim to and protects are the mines. Located in a protected valley about half-way up the mountainside, the mines only have one entrance: a massive arch of stone leading into the main chamber. Stone dens, built from sheets of stone and boulders, create smaller havens within the artificial cavern. Lightbulbs, once powered with electricity, are now vessels for fire magic, keeping the main cavern in eternal, soft light. A larger fire near the entrance keeps the place comfortably warm; it is the job of young Tribe members learning their magic to keep the fire burning. Both the entrance to the mines and the tunnel leading to the deep mines are always guarded. Only full members of the Tribe are allowed into the deep mines, as that is where the glowing ore and the secret of their elemental magic is hidden. Because of the Tribe's access to magic, they don't feel particularly threatened by ordinary cats. The Tribe ranges far to hunt--why not, if some of them can fly?--and treat the entire mountain range as their hunting grounds. Members without magic are often limited to hunting the mountain valley, but even this space is large enough to support the group if needed. A tumbling stream of snowmelt dominates the middle of the valley, while the sides are shaded by hardy conifers and thick undergrowth. The soil is rich and productive. The Tribe's valley sits on the middle of the slope on the Western side of the range. Above the valley, winding back and forth, is a pass that allows all creatures to cross the mountains to the other side. The pass does freeze over in the winter, making it nearly impossible to cross until mid-spring, when it thaws. . ELDERS
Meadow where Blue Butterflies Dance (Meadow) - A medium-furred dilute tortoiseshell molly with long whiskers and tufted paws. Her left eye is clouded and blind, covered by an old scar, but her right is a horizontal split between dark, forest green and warm amber. She excels with fire and heat magics. First Snow of Early Leaf-bare (Snow) - A mostly white tom with some red tabby patches and a short but feathery tail. His eyes are completely white. He’s traded his sight for perfect recall of any past event he was present for and serves as the Tribe’s story-keeper. Poise of Cut Rose Blossom (Rose) - A long-furred chocolate classic tabby she-cat. Her eyes are solid blue. An outsider to the Tribe, she spent her final hale seasons as a guest and eventually retired here, unwilling to leave. She never learned magic. Chill Bite of New-leaf Gale (Gale) - A lithe, solid grey cat with a feathery tail. They have yellow eyes with broken violet rings around the iris. They serve as the Tribe’s honorary elder and speaker for the youth. They specialize in weather magics and have lots of power, but little control of their abilities. . MELODIES
Patient Ice that Cracks Mountains (Ice) - A solid, pale grey she-cat with white paws, ears and stomach. A long, jagged scar runs across her right flank and many smaller scars mar her pelt. Her left eye is entirely red with black flecks; her right eye is red on the bottom, with green and grey on the top and a single slice of bright gold cutting vertically through it all. The best fighter in the Tribe, she is in charge of security and organizing patrols and takes her job very seriously. She prefers earth magic, warping the stone and earth to give her the advantage in fights. Keen Gaze of Soaring Eagle (Keen) - A grey tabby cat with sky blue eyes and a tufted tail. He has a narrow and agile build. He uses air magic exclusively and is one of the few cats that feels more comfortable flying than walking. They can even use their knowledge to take other cats into the air alongside them. A friendly and charismatic individual, Keen is the Tribe’s primary scout as well as their diplomat. Blackberry - A small, solid black tom. His amber eyes have silvery flecks. A wandering Healer that joined the Tribe in his youth and is now the head Healer of the Tribe. He only rarely uses magic, instead preferring his own ability. He has been known to use anima magic in emergencies, altering his own body or his patient’s, an alteration that changes the soul itself. This magic is highly taboo, but so far nothing bad has come of it… Sunset over Distant Mountain Range (Sunset) - A medium-furred chocolate-and-red calico molly with tufted paws. Her eyes are mostly amber, with violet in the corners. Patient and intelligent, she is the primary teacher in the Tribe and oversees most of the Tremors’ training. Fragrant Yew (Yew) - A black and white patched tom. His eyes are nearly pearlescent with how many colors swirl within. A master of magic, he’s dedicated his entire life to learning and experimenting with as many aspects of magic he can get his paws on. He is addicted to his experiments and will do anything for knowledge. . ECHOS
Gorsemoon - A fawn tom with a darker stripe down his back and long claws. His eyes are grey with patches of dark blue and flecks of silver. A former Clan cat from across the mountain ranges. He specializes in water magic with a dabbling in light magic. Pheasant Hidden in Long Grass (Pheasant) - A ginger spotted tabby tom. His yellow eyes have vibrant blue rings around the outsides. A sound magic specialist, he can mimic any noise perfectly. Dark Raindrop on Stone (Raindrop) - A large blue-grey tom with a tufted tail. His eyes are mismatched: one yellow, the other pale pink. Hiss of Flickering Spark (Spark) - A long-furred cream-and-white she-cat. Her white fur is covered in long, pale ginger markings, almost like a marbled tabby. Her eyes are orange and yellow with desaturated brown flecks. She loves flying, though she isn’t very good at it. She’s a natural with light magics… but doesn’t practice very often, knowing her sister, Light, is working very hard to make light magic her specialty. Soft Light of Low Flame (Light) - A long-furred solid cream she-cat. Her dark eyes are flecked with lavender and some silver. She is working very hard to specialize in light magic, to honor her name. Line of Soot over River Pebbles (Soot) - A medium-furred dilute cream-and-lilac torbie molly with tufted paws. Her eyes are yellow-green on the tops, with a desaturated, olive green on the bottoms. She specializes in growth magics and aims to be the next head healer. Sandy Bank of Frozen Stream (Stream) - A grey rosetted tabby tom with white paws. His eyes are blue and red, both dark and desaturated, bisecting his eyes in perfect halves: his left horizontally and his right vertically. He specializes in both fire and water magics. A Dream of Calm Ocean Waves (Dream) - A blue and cream tortoiseshell molly with long fur. She has a white tail-tip and front socks. Her right eye is solid amber while her left is green and grey with red flecks. She specializes in long distance magics, able to see, hear or affect things at a range so long as she sets up a link beforehand and knows the affected space very well. She was once an outsider to the Tribe. Smudge of Cloud in Clear Skies (Cloud) - A small, pale grey cat with white dapples. They have medium-length fur and large, tufted ears along with the tufted tail. Their eyes are warm amber with chestnut brown slices radiating outward like sunbursts. They are usually very still, like stone. They mostly use growth magic and enjoy trying to communicate with trees. Large Boulder Perched upon Clifftops (Boulder) - A massive grey tabby tom. His eyes are stunningly lavender, with only a single orange spot in the right iris. He rarely uses magic, but does like to use air magic to help him bound up cliffsides with ease. Ripple of Leaping Fish (Ripple) - A lithe grey she-cat with long, drooping whiskers and tufted paws and tail. Her eyes are a mix of many dappled greens--from emeralds to olives, fern to mossy. She uses water magic almost exclusively and is hesitant to branch out further. . TREMORS
Yarn - A thin, pale ginger tabby she-cat with green eyes and a bright blue collar. Lox’s daughter and once a kittypet. Socks - A thin, white tom with some ginger dapples, grey eyes and a bright blue collar. Lox’s son and once a kittypet. Turtle that Basks on Warm Stone (Turtle) - A medium-furred black molly with ginger markings on her face and paws and a tufted tail. She has blue eyes with blue-green flecks. Fallen Pine Needles under Paws (Pine) - A very dark grey tom with white paws and amber eyes. Golden Leaf under Birch (Leaf) - A ginger cat with amber eyes. . WHISPERS
Brilliant Sunray that Breaks the Clouds (Sunray) - A grey-and-cream dilute tortoiseshell molly. She has blue eyes with flecks of amber. A Tribe cat that, as a Tremor, stole magic before she was granted permission. She has been working many moons to regain the Tribe’s trust. Lox - A bright ginger tabby tom with grey eyes and a bright blue collar. Once a kittypet, but fled with two of his kits after his owners began to starve them. Wheatpaw - A white-and-fawn dappled she-cat with amber eyes. Once a Clan cat from across the mountains. She and her brother, Mothpaw, have been with the Tribe for almost a season cycle and while they finished their training in the Tribe, still haven’t decided if they wish to join fully. Mothpaw - A fawn spotted tabby tom with amber eyes. Once a Clan cat from across the mountains. . QUEENS & KITS
Gravel Patch among Scattered Stones (Gravel) - A dark grey molly with lighter marbled tabby markings. Her eyes are swirled with many shades of grey and speckled with shining silver. An older cat that has mothered many litters; now a nursery queen that refuses to join the Voices so long as there are queens in the nursery. Solitary Violet in Field of Daisies (Violet) - A chocolate molly with a darker stripe down her spine. She has lilac eyes with paler, lavender rings. Expecting Pheasant’s kits. . VISITORS
Pookie - A black, red, and white molly with amber eyes. Her calico patches are patterned with ticked tabby markings. Sparrow - A cinnamon-and-white classic tabby molly with blue eyes. Mother of Chicadee. Chickadee - A black-and-white tom with blue eyes. Running Deer - A chocolate tom with a lighter stripe down his spine and grey eyes. Zee - A silver smoke tom with yellow eyes. Sacramento - A fawn and chocolate chimera cat with one green eye and one blue eye.

first group finally done <3 The problem with making so many ranks is that I have to FILL that many ranks with cats. Also I had a lot of fun with the polychromatic eyes for the magic users <3<3<3 it's such a fun and creative thing to mess around with <3
I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it!!

Your really good at this. I decided that I would see if you could help me with my story. It doesn't have to be exactly BloodClan, but it's going to mostly take it's place with BrokenStar and TigerClaw's groups merging with that eventually. I think an interesting twist on them would be a Dark Forest connection

Tanglefire i have to thank you many times over for recommending cold desert I've been looking at the mongolian steppes and deserts for like, over an hour now and !!! It's such a neat ecosystem! I've got the territory and predator/prey sections down, as well as a basic outline of the "elemental cats" portion. I still don't have a good name for the Clan though ;-; it'll come to me, but it's being stubborn uwu

I think you'll like the elemental system I've cooked up (; The only bad thing is that I made a tiered system, which eats up a few really good prefixes xp not really a problem, but I can't have any colored prefixes at ALL which is a little sad.
and the balancing is done, there will be 32 cats =O idk how many is typical for a Clan but hey gotta have enough to showcase some of these awesome tertiary Signs
BROOOOOO I want to draw all these designs so bad </3 I don't have the time or skill to do them justice but AHHH these are some very pretty kitties okay Also the layout didn't give me like, any problems??? a modern miracle. Still haven't finished coding the allegiances tho, and those are historically a pain in the butt, so there's still time for Problems to pop up, but the rest went really smooth. Not that I'm doing anything complex for these; it's not meant to be as pretty as a roleplay layout, but dropping so much text in plaintext ariel would actually probably kill me
Layout completely done. I'll probably use this one as a base for future Clans and just change the colors, because I want to spend time actually making Clans and cats and not 2ish hours tinkering with HTML lmao. It's simple but effective. I wasn't able to do EXACTLY what I wanted with the allegiances code (that would require messing with floats and I don't have the patience for that right now... or ever actually) but it's clean and it works. It should look alright on mobile too, but it might be a little crunched. I tried my best to make things small enough to fit //shrug
Broooooo making cats for this is such a good time!! I really hope you enjoy their designs as much as I loved making them because wow they're pretty badass ngl

Progress report on the elemental cats: over half the allegiances are done, I just have to finish up some apprentices, queens and elders. It's a bit longer of a process than usual because each of them has a very unique design haha I wanted to make each one feel unique even if they share a Sign with another cat (or, for the common signs, four or more cats) which takes a little doing. I love how they're coming out though!! I can't choose a favorite </3
I'm also DONE tinkering with the code so it's just a matter of finishing up the last dozen or so kitties and then it'll be ready~

8 more to go: 6 apprentices and two elders. I also went in and added a family tree last night, because I already had it on the doc when I was working up the genetics anyways.
Next group will not have the extended description package because this is a Lot. xp worth it, but still a lot.
Okay, they are officially all complete. I'm going to take a break and then go back and do some final tinkering, but the finished Clan should be up tonight ;-;

CometClan The Diverse and Hardy About In this world, creatures called "cats" are not flesh-and-blood, but beings created from the elements themselves. All cats in the world align to one of the Signs, not just CometClan. CometClan is known for being somewhat unique, having more than one type of Sign in the group: usually, other Clans or rogue bands limit their membership to a single Sign. CometClan cats see their diversity as a strength. Within CometClan, there are three primary Signs: Fire, Growth or Earth. There are also three secondary types (Sand, Wood, and Stone) and three tertiary types (Copper, Salt, and Obsidian). Rarely, quaternary types may be present: (Glass, Blossom, Gemstone). There are also Water Sign cats. Water Sign masks all secondary or tertiary types, though a very rare quaternary Saltsign cat is possible. Only females (or XXY males) can be Watersign. Tier/Sign | Primary | Secondary | Tertiary | Quaternary | Firesign | Fire | Sand | Copper | Glass | Growthsign | Growth | Wood | Leaf | Blossom | Earthsign | Earth | Stone | Obsidian | Gemstone | Watersign | Water | - | - | Salt |
A cat’s form embodies their Sign: a Firesign may be shaped from charcoal, their fur roaring flames. Growthsigns often are made of knotted plant material. Earthsign are typically the sturdiest, made of packed earth or solid stone. Watersign cats physically appear as one of the other Signs, but cannot typically control that Sign’s element and instead have power over water. Territory CometClan’s territory is completely flat: a plain of sand, clay, and salt. Only hardy grasses and shrubs can tolerate the poor soil and dry climate, with wide swaths of empty space between patches of growth. The climate is controlled by monsoon seasons, with precipitation occurring almost exclusively in the summer months and only rarely snowing in the winter. The desert, while dry, is rarely hot--even in the peak of summer, temperatures rarely rise above 34C/94F and are often much more temperate (~18C/64F). Instead, danger comes in the cold, bone dry winters where temperatures can plummet far below freezing (-21C/-6F). Firesign cats are valued for their warmth and Earthsign cats for their inability to feel cold. Even in the relatively mild spring and fall seasons, temperatures are volatile and can change dramatically within short periods of time: even a mild day may quickly turn into a frigid night. The oasis basin is the heart of CometClan’s territory and teems with plant diversity found nowhere else in their land. Trees, while still short and shrubby, are only possible around the oasis and attract valuable prey, such as birds and reptiles. The brackish water must be purified by a Watersign, however, and Growthsigns are responsible for keeping the plants healthy during droughts; the oasis and the oasis’s basin are key to CometClan’s survival. Elsewhere, the grasses and groundcover feed hares: CometClan’s main source of prey. Rodents and lizards also thrive in the open desert flats, and birds are not uncommon, though can be challenging to stalk without cover. CometClan isn’t afraid to scavenge where they can either--antelope occasionally pass through the salt flats, and while the herd also brings wolf packs and other dangers, an enterprising warrior might be able to sneak away with part of the kill if luck shines on them. The Clan must regularly compete for territory and prey with foxes, which are both common and an even match for a cat. Though they tend to be easily defeated in the presence of a full patrol, foxes can also form small family packs that are bolder. Eagles, particularly Golden Eagles, are the biggest threat to a warrior. Exposed on the open desert, a cat must always keep an eye on the sky while hunting, else they quickly become prey themselves. As a bonus, have a list of cool creatures that are found in the area: Grey Wolf - probably not a direct predator of the cats unless they catch wind of their camp, but should be avoided at all costs.
Marmot - largest ground squirrel. Probably not hunted because they are too large and dangerous.
Corsac fox - a smaller, tan fox. They tend to be nomadic but very common.
Martins - a weasel kin. Probably pretty rare, but also a predator that would totally scuffle with a cat.
Argali - mountain sheep. Only on rocky outcroppings, not the true desert flat where CometClan lives, but perhaps in the distance?
Gobi bear - Very endangered now, but you can totally have a more stable population; they could be a symbol of good fortune.
Rodents: gerbils, hamsters, jerboas (mouse-like jumpers; probably rare as they prefer hot desert), ground squirrels.
Pika - CUTIE!! Rabbit-kin, usually more mountainous habitat, but some are burrowers on cold steppe. Another common prey item.
Lizards - Apparently there is a lot of lizard diversity in the mongolian steppes and deserts. Feel free to have many lizards.
Birds - probably limited to larks and sparrows; also the mongolian ground jay and sandgrouse, a pigeon-esque bird. Leader Wolfstar | 52 Moons | he/him | Sandsign A lithe tomcat, his form is made of a deep, reddish-brown shifting sand that is always warm to the touch. His eyes have dark sclera with red irises ringed with yellow. His tail and ears are long, twisting ribbons of sand. He’s fairly hot-headed and when he’s surprised or upset, a mane of fire erupts from his scruff. Like many Firesigns, Wolfstar can heat up his fangs and claws, hot enough to melt through some stones.
Deputy Thornwing | she/her | 80 Moons | Growthsign Four trunks of thorny shrubs form her paws, her body the tangle of knotted, leafless branches. Her tail is made of three branches braided together. A cage of branches forms her skull, wrapping across her eyes like a mask, where two golden yellow eyes, deeply shadowed, peer out. Her ears, cheeks, and lower jaw are made of yellow-brown, crackling leaves. Her fangs are made of thick thorns. A line of leaves forms a stripe of yellow down her spine and tail, which can be raised like hackles and vibrated, hissing like a rattler’s tail.
Healers Geckoshine | she/her | 35 Moons | Leafsign This effervescent molly is impossible to miss, her foliage whistling in the wind as she darts around camp. From the outside, it looks like someone glued a bunch of leaves to a cat, but she’s completely made of leaves all the way to her core: a bright, lively green that sticks out erratically from her body at all angles. Her eyes are a warm grey.
Shaleberry | they/them | 17 Moons | Stonesign Their form is shaped from shale stone, glossy grey and smooth. Intrusions of limonite create thin, yellow fractures across their body, particularly concentrated on their left flank and their face. Their eyes are dark blue. While only recently earning their name, Shaleberry doesn’t know if they’ve truly earned their title. Mostly because they are Earthsign, not Growthsign, like many Healers are. They work extra hard, believing their Sign is a flaw that must be overcome but determined to be a Healer anyways. They prefer gender neutral pronouns, but consider themself female and don’t mind feminine pronouns in some contexts.
Warriors
Twigshade | he/him | 85 Moons | Woodsign A gnarled tomcat made entirely of small sticks, like a bird's nest. He has awkward proportions, with too-long legs, a narrow, z-shaped body, and a long neck. He has no tail. His muzzle is crooked and his right ear is positioned further back than his left. His eyes are set deep into his twiggy skull and are dull yellow. Despite his erratic appearance, Twigshade is a methodical and organized cat that hates when others are late or lazy.
Smallgrouse | he/they | 63 Moons | Earthsign A small cat molded out of pale, grey clay with gravel bits on his shoulders, brows, and front legs. He has two tails. The clay of his body acts like fur and can be bristled, textured, or completely smooth. His color is mottled with many shades of grey, giving him amazing camouflage on the desert flats.
Emberglare | she/her | 52 Moons | Firesign She isn't made entirely of fire: bands around the middle of her legs, her tail, her neck, and the backs of her ears are ashy charcoal. The charcoal is like the embers of a hot fire: white, black, and flickering orange. The rest of her is flame, warm and soft to the touch, with more resistance and blazing heat for anyone that dares try and attack. Her eyes have dark sclera with orange irises.
Cranefoot | she/her | 48 Moons | Watersign She appears as a Earthsign: a very tall build, mostly constructed from orange-brown, iron heavy soil. White salt casts bright edges to her paws and stomach, as well as a circle upon her head. Grey soil makes classic tabby markings on her flanks, and her tail is ringed. She has one amber eye and one pale blue.
Sharpfrost | it/its | 48 Moons | Glasssign A cat made of glass might seem fragile, but Sharpfrost shows strength in its form: broad shouldered, with powerful legs and sharp, sharp claws. Thinner parts of its anatomy--like its paws, tail and ears--are translucent, but anything more than a paw-width is clouded and opaque with a green-blue hue. Light refracts oddly around it, and it must be careful of the direction of the sun when hunting, else prey spot the glistening of sunrays on its body. Its eyes are also mostly translucent, with only the very centers showing flat, green color. It has very poor control over its Firesign element and while it can amplify flames and heat, it can do nothing to dampen the effects of its power.
Blackdawn | she/her | 48 Moons | Stonesign One might confuse Blackdawn as Obsidiansign at a distance as she is also formed from black stone, but her body is crafted from basalt and so is rough, not smooth. A thin line of quartz crystal starts at the back of her left ear, wraps around her chest, and ends up on her right front paw. She has a similar build as her littermate, Sharpfrost, with wide shoulders and stocky legs, good for jumping and long-distance travel. Her eyes are bright green. Her tail is only half the size that it should be, the tip jagged and broken.
Tangleleap | he/him | 45 Moons | Growthsign Snaking vines form Tangleleap's body, coiled and full of energy. He doesn't have claws--his vines are unable to form sharp points--and instead can use the thin vines as finger-like appendages with great dexterity, able to grab and manipulate objects with ease. He's known for his unique ability to pull small rodents out of their dens. His body changes color with the season: brown-grey in the dry and pale yellow-green in the wetter months. His eyes are large and entirely tan with no iris. His tail is long and thin, whip-like, with a forked tip. He has a rather squat face with small ears and a flat muzzle.
Boulderclaw | she/they | 42 Moons | Stonesign With a name like Boulderclaw, one might think this she-cat would be imposing--and she is! Easily the largest cat in the Clan, Boulderclaw stands a head above the rest. She doesn't appear overly bulky, mostly because her mass is distributed over such a large area. Their body is made of black-and-white diorite, giving them a spotted appearance. A large gouge mars the front of her neck and chest, the edges blackened and melted into a scar earned from a fight with a rogue Firesign. Their eyes are warm amber. They try their best to look small among their Clanmates and are somewhat self-conscious of their size. Dustpool | he/him | 39 Moons | Earthsign Unlike most Earthsign cats, Dustpool isn't made of solid material, but of compacted dust of a pale pink color. A cloud of particulates follows him whenever he moves and it's impossible to be downwind of him without being blinded. His edges appear blurred as the dust falls from his form. His tail and paws are only visible as concentrated clouds of dust, denser than the diffuse dust cloud that surrounds the rest of him. His face is fairly solid, with blue eyes peering out. Reedpath | she/her | 37 Moons | Watersign Thin bundles of reed form her body, tied together with dried grass. Most of her body is a brownish-yellow shade, like dried bamboo, but her tail is bright green and very flexible. Split reeds form her jaw and fangs, and softer parts like her inner ears. Her eyes are entirely yellow.
Owlsong | she/her | 37 Moons | Frostsign Frostsign. CometClan hasn't encountered a Frostsign cat in generations, though there are stories of a Clan to the northeast, where the desert becomes rocky and even colder, that is made entirely of ice-covered cats. Owlsong came south on the heels of a pack of wolves as a young cat and was taken in by CometClan. Her fur is made entirely of icicles that never melt, her limbs gently sculpted from pale blue ice. Unlike most CometClan's Signs, which are roughly cat-shaped, Owlsong has the exactness of a feline form that is unmatched by any other cat in the Clan. Her eyes are luminously blue.
Nightstorm | he/him | 31 Moons | Obsidiansign Lithe and sharp, Nightstorm's obsidian body is crafted like a razor's edge. His spine is formed into a ridge and his tail is laterally flattened, like a sword's blade, though it loses none of a cat's flexibility. His limbs are narrow and triangular. His ears are extended into tall points. His fangs are very long and extremely sharp. Little of his body is rounded, instead meeting at sheer edges and points, faceted like glass panes. His obsidian flesh is somewhat reflective and shines blindingly in bright light. His eyes are lavender with dark sclera. Windyfleck | they/them | 27 Moons | Firesign For a Firesign, Windyfleck has a fairly solid base to them. They're made of metallic melted slag, grey and shining, that's visible through their fiery fur. The slag is textured with pocks and bubbles, the corners smoothed. They are always ablaze with a thick layer of flames, giving body to their small base form. Their paws, tail and muzzle are always shining brightest: a hot white-blue. Elsewhere, their fire is slightly cooler at a mild yellow-orange. When they're feeling any strong emotion, spark pop from their metallic body, making their flaming pelt shimmer with dark, red-orange flecks. Their eyes are orange. Twistedfox | she/they | 25 Moons | Woodsign Like her sister, Lichenweb, Twistedfox's body is made entirely from one solid piece of wood. She is much more rugged than Lichenweb, however, with her dark brown, wooden form having many knots and knobs. The knobs and spines are much paler than their body, looking almost like bone. The backs of their legs are adorned with spike-like growths, as is her spine. Her shoulder blades sprout thick plates of bark, hinged on her spine, which she can lift almost like stiff wings. Their tail is unwieldy: an untamed stick with many branches, forming a flat switch. Instead of ears, she has antlers made of more branches atop her head. Her eyes are a fiery amber. Lichenweb | she/her | 25 Moons | Woodsign Her form is bare heartwood shaped into a cat, a rich honey color with dark grain striations. Patches of lichens dapple her wooden flanks: white, yellow, pale green and blue, overlapping in patches. She has an elegant build. Her eyes are honey yellow.
Apprentices Longpaw | he/him | 17 Moons | Earthsign Ever since he was young, Longpaw knew his name would eventually be Longnose--or maybe Longface, but he hopes Wolfstar won't be that cruel. His body is made of a yellow silty clay heavy with sulfur, swirled with deep red iron heavy soil around his hind legs and tail. His most striking feature is his long, narrow muzzle, stretched out more like a canine's than a cat's. Unfortunately for him, his elongated muzzle makes it difficult for him to breathe and more prone to illness and so he's often sick in the healer's den, which has delayed his warrior name. He has amber eyes.
Dunepaw | he/they | 14 Moons | Sandsign He's nearly an exact copy of his uncle, Wolfstar, with identical red-brown sand forming a tall, agile figure. Unlike Wolfstar, his fire shows through his tail, which is only a stub of sand when extinguished, but can be extended into a pillar of flame. A lighter colored patch of sand, yellow gold, exists within them, ever shifting over the surface of their body. His eyes are orange with black sclera.
Shinepaw | he/him | 14 Moons | Coppersign His metallic form is stunning, a statue come to life. Though he can't manipulate it, his copper pelt is textured intricately with fur. Shinepaw is always warm, even at night, and can shed sparks with his paws. He has a regal form with tall ears and a long tail. Annoyingly, his copper tends to oxidize in green or brown blotches; in the warm months, it isn't too hard to find acidic fruits to restore the metal, but he's often forced to ignore the offending tarnish in the winter. His eyes are orange, a less saturated color than his coppery pelt. Tawnypaw | she/her | 10 Moons | Stonesign Her tawny pelt is textured with harsh-grained conglomerate stone. Smaller gravel of grey and white forms clusters held together by either an off-white calcium carbonate, or a russet iron oxide. Patches of these two contrasting materials give her pelt a dappled, tortoiseshell appearance. Quartz, slightly rose-tinted, makes a patch on her chest, a blaze on her forehead, and caps the tips of her paws and her tail. She has green eyes. Shimmerpaw | she/her | 7 Moons | Watersign Appearing as a Gemsign, Shimmerpaw is made of brown stone, bismuthinite, that shimmers with rainbow ore when it hits the light. Bismuth crystals, wonderfully polychromatic in nested squares, form her ears and line her scruff. Her paws are narrow and delicate. Her eyes are amber in most lights, but flash brilliant blue unexpectedly. It was only recently that she learned she was Watersign, as she was assumed to simply be Gemsign, having demonstrated control over Earth. But her Water abilities far exceed her control of Earth and so far, she has been able to accomplish even the most challenging of Water tests with ease.
Jaypaw | she/her | 7 Moons | Earthsign Made of solid, packed silt, Jaypaw is a earthy desaturated brown color. Her undersides--stomach, chest, and legs--are made of much finer grains and have a lighter color than that of her flanks, spine, head and tail. She has a sturdy build with a short tail and small ears. Her eyes are bright green.
Sparrowpaw | he/him | 7 Moons | Earthsign Much like his twin, Jaypaw, Sparrowpaw is also split between two different materials. The majority of his bulk is formed from tan sandy soil, with dark "tabby" markings made of soot that run across his pelt. His spine, neck, head and tail are reinforced with thick plates of slate and he has a bulky build, with strong legs and wide shoulders. His eyes are bright green.
Whisperpaw | he/him | 7 Moons | Leafsign Instead of being made up of many leaves, Whisperpaw's body is formed by only a few, very large leaves that each cover a large portion of his body, wrapping and molding to perfectly fit the shape of his limbs. Because of his, he is rounded with very few sharp edges or corners. His coloration is varied, with the leaves having a yellow color around the veins, fading to a dull brown, then to near red at the edges. He is rather large for a Growthsign cat, matching the size of his Earthsign littermates, with broad shoulders and long legs. However, unlike an Earthsign cat, Whisperpaw has exceptional stealth and is silent when moving. He has bright green eyes. Queens & Kits Claystride | she/her | 37 Moons | Watersign A blue-grey molly sculpted from clay, pale crusts of salt speckle her pelt, forming circles like rosetted tabby markings. She has long legs and a long, thin tail. Her fur is textured by branching channels, as if the clay was eroded by streams of water; the exposed deeper layers are slightly darker than the surface. She can also texture her clay like fur if she chooses, but she often doesn't unless she is very uncomfortable. Her eyes are a watery blue. Mother to Owlsong's three kits:
Shadowkit - Earthsign. A she-kit made of rich, dark soil. She has blue eyes. Snowkit - Frostsign. A pure white tomkit made entirely of powdery snow. He has blue eyes. Dawnkit - Stonesign. A small she-kit made of sandstone. She has many layers of pale colored stone in wave-like strata. She has blue eyes. Redtuft| he/she/they | 35 Moons | Blossomsign A cat made out of pale, fuzzy stalks covered in large, broad leaves. Wide, red flowers bloom throughout his pelt. Their stems are always immaculately arranged, braided together in careful patterns, and they take great care to keep their blooms healthy. She has short, sturdy legs. Her eyes are golden. Parent to Nightstorm's kit.
Petalkit - Blossomsign. A tomkit made entirely out of pale blue petals. He has golden eyes. Fernfeather | she/her | 22 Moons | Growthsign A fragile she-cat created from fern fronds. Her body is grey with only a bare hint of green, though the ferns aren't crackling and dry like they appear, but are just as supple as living fern. Her tail is a full frond. Her ears are tipped with long stalks, drooping with spore bundles at the tips like antennae. Gentle green color covers her chest, neck, and stomach. She has several fern fronds in her muzzle that are usually retracted, but can be extended to enhance her sense of smell. She has amber eyes. Expecting.
Elders Sapphirefang | he/him | 134 Moons | Gemsign He is mostly made of corundum, an translucent, blue-grey stone. Vibrant veins of sapphire make for brilliant markings across his pelt: a slash across his shoulders, a line over his right eye, a pair of rings around his front left paw as well as several smaller dots from singular gemstones. His corundum is the hardest material in the entire Clan, giving him great strength. In his age, he suffers from exhaustion and is nearly always sleeping. He has brilliant blue eyes.
Softbee | they/them | 102 Moons | Growthsign A small cat made of woven grasses with warm grey eyes. They are a pastel green color, like new shoots, and are still just as soft and supple as when they were young. They have three braided tails, which they often hold braided together into a single tail. Young shoots of grass line their muzzle like whiskers. A scar mars their form, severing their right hind leg at the knee: while still connected to them, the connection never properly regrew and that leg is now brown and withered.

The Scrap Only the Strong Survive
ABOUT
Down the Thunderpath from ShadowClan's dump is the scrapyard. The cats that call the scrapyard home value strength above all, having to compete with the pack of dogs for the same territory and limited prey. They tend to be larger than the typical housecat, but not too large because their main defense against the scrapyard dogs is the ability to use the terrain to their advantage, climbing quickly upon the piles of metal or squeezing between gaps too large for the dogs to follow. A cat that is too large to balance won't survive long in the scrap, nor will a cat too small to compete with the others for prey--because if there's one constant in the scrap, it's that strength means everything. Whatever cat is strongest and most feared is the leader. The main perk of this station is the prey tithe expected from the rest of the group. Despite their strength, the leader is not expected to brave the scrap to hunt--the other cats of the scrap are expected to provide prey to the leader and their chosen group of elites--and their only obligation is to use their strength to defend the scrap from outsider cats seeking to invade their territory. A small group of elites (typically picked by the leader, but like most positions in the scrap, can be challenged and fought for by another individual) are the next tier in the hierarchy. They often are allowed to share in the leader's prey tithe. There is typically a lot of infighting between these elites to showcase their strength in hopes of dethroning the current leader. Many cats in the scrap have cobbled together bits of weapons and armor from the softer metals in the scrapyard. Metal claws are restricted to the elites and will be forcefully taken from any of the lower ranking members of the scrap. Armor is usually allowed for any member, and well crafted armor is jealously guarded and coveted by all.
TERRITORY
The Scrap cats claim the entire fenced-in scrapyard as their territory. The front quarter is open parking lot and usually mostly empty besides a few rusty trucks that are almost certainly dead. To the left of the entrance gate is the main office--the flat roof is always warm in the winter, the perfect place for cats to relax well out of the dog's reach. The workers sometimes leave scraps for the animals from their lunches, if the cats can get to them before the dogs can. To the far left, behind the office, is the compactor. A massive and noisy device, the cats try to avoid being in the area when it's running. The building--even without walls and a crumbling roof--provides shelter for rats and mice, however, so the compactor remains the best hunting grounds in the scrap. The rest of the scrapyard is a warren of pipes, metal sheets, tire rims, and other assorted piles of metal. A triangular stack of six concrete pipes in the far right corner, furthest from the office and compactor, creates the scrap's "camp"... if one can even call it such. It's the place the cats congregate and shelter, offering the most protection from the elements and from the dogs, who rarely venture that deep into the scrap piles. The leader can often be found in the top-most pipe, though the space serves more as a throne room than a den; at the back of this pipe is where the metal claws are stored are are fiercely guarded by the leader and elites. The other pipes, five of them, are places for the other scrap cats to gather. The one on the middle left is often chosen by nursing queens, but unlike a Clan, it is up to the queen and her mate to provide for the kittens and the other cats rarely if ever help raise kits that are not theirs. Challenges and fights always occur in the bottom middle pipe, which is set aside for that purpose and is otherwise unused. . LEADER
Tart - A ginger and cinnamon calico molly with dark blue eyes. She has a large scar over the right side of her face, as well as a shredded ear. . ELITES
Yet - A large, dark chocolate tabby tom with yellow eyes. Fond of the phrase: "You're not dead... yet." He isn't very smart, but is ruthless in a fight. Belle - A delicate cream tabby cat with grey eyes. They have a blue nylon collar. . SCRAP CATS
Joy - A small, long-furred, grey tabby molly with light green eyes. Close with Tart. Arnold - A orange tabby tom with green eyes and a nervous air. Sethir - A black tom with a single white spot on his shoulder and amber eyes. Melody - A dilute tortoiseshell she-cat with large yellow eyes. She has a soft voice. Tart's sister and Belle's mate. Earwig - A scruffy chocolate classic tabby tom with green eyes. Young and a new cat to the group. Scream - A bold ginger tom with blue eyes. Belle and Melody's kit; around apprentice age. Sable - A cream and white molly with blue eyes. Belle and Melody's kit; around apprentice age. . IMPORTANT OUTSIDERS
Scratch - A long-furred black and white molly with green eyes. Joy's littermate that refuses to join the Scrap. Gus - A very fat white tomcat with ginger tabby spots and green eyes. A cat that hangs around the Scrap's office and often goes home with the manager during the nights. Buster - A large half-German Shepherd, half Rottweiler dog. He is the leader of the scrap dog pack, though is getting a little old. Roxy - A leaner, Shepherd-Rott-Doberman mix. One of Buster's pups and the only of the litter the owner kept as a guard dog. Pig - A scrappy brown male terrier. He might be the bottom of the ranking for the dogs and the smallest, but he's tenacious and will chase a cat farther than either of the others, as well as being able to squeeze into many of the small gaps the cats rely on for escape routes.

I wanted to give a somewhat calmer counterpart to BloodClan and put it closer to ShadowClan's territory. The scrapyard would be just to the east of their borders, down the thunderpath in the old territories.
The Scrap cats won't be quite as bloodthirsty as BloodClan was, but they do believe that strength is everything and would totally be down to conquer a Clan and take their territory. I left a lot open-ended so you can fit it to whatever plots you have planned, but the base should be a good springboard for new ideas
I also made it a small group; the scrapyard only has so much prey and probably can't support a large group, which means that they'll only take in the fittest of newcomers and will kick out any cat that isn't pulling their weight. If you don't give enough tithe to the leader, you'll be chased out of the group.
