He wasn't the best character considering he rejected Thunder twice and he's one of the stupidest characters in DotC, but he did do some good things. Like he did risk his tail to save Gray Wing's kit Black Ear, but other than that I can't think of any other time he wasn't an asshole. He did apologize to Thunder for rejecting him, and was a good father to Tiny Branch, Dew Petal and Flower Foot, but he was still a bad character.

I don't really like him. He should have stayed an antagonist throughout DOTC.

I cannot say it enough, but, EFF THAT GUY. He seriously pisses me off in every moment he's in. His stupid mate is even worse, because she endorses his bullshit. I was so happy when his mother called him out and rejected him, but then it irritated me when she forgave him. He never deserved leadership OR forgiveness.
I honestly think SkyClan falling apart moons later is karma for how it was formed in the first place.

I inwardly boil with irritation every time heâs on-screen. And I wholeheartedly believe he was fully deserving of the 3rd(or was it 2nd spot?) on the worst villains list they put up on the website a week or so ago. Heâs an irredeemable sad sack that amazingly manages to get worse every time he shows up. Just throw him a cauldron and let him boil .

Hate him as a person but love him as a villain. I find the attempts to redeem someone so disgusting ridiculous and a show of poor writing.

Hate him. Throw the whole cat away and start over. Would utterly adore Clear Sky/Skystar if he was an unapologetic villain though (that was not getting excused/validated by the writing via shitty redemption attempts only to start over at being a foxheart the next time/book we see him in). Like, an evil founder would've been so epic, in my opinion.
What a waste of potential this guy is...

He's the proto-Tigerstar II. Starts problems because of [petty reason], realises he went too far, apologises, everyone forgives him, he starts back on it with a different issue. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Wish they doubled down on his antagonist potential instead of trying to make him act like he felt justified in everything. It's a complaint I share with Onestar, and it was hard to read his POVs as a result.

I put Dislike, since I did thoroughly enjoy seeing him as a villain. His POV at first was nice since it was through the eyes of the antagonist, and then seeing him realize how bad he messed up later and his sort of spiral of grief. It was interesting, and for all that I'd say I like how the writing is, but hate him as a character (but in a fun way).
Then AFD happened. With Star Flower. I could go into that, but theres a whole other thread. Reading him begging the clans to sacrifice food for his next litter, specifically to Thunder, The son he abandoned for being "another mouth to feed" or something like that. That easily killed my interest in him. I enjoyed his POVS since they weren't on the Moor. But as I'm reading POS It's just annoying seeing him or his POV.
